The Effect of Suction and Injection on Unsteady Flow of a Dusty Conducting Fluid in Rectangular Channel

  • In the present study, the unsteady Hartmann flow of a dusty viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid under the influence of an exponentially decreasing pressure gradient is studied without neglecting the ion slip. The parallel plates are assumed to be porous and subjected to a uniform suction from above and injection from below. The fluid is acted upon by an external uniform magnetic field which is applied perpendicular to the plates. An analytical solution for the governing equations of motion is obtained to yield the velocity distributions for both the fluid and dust particles.

  • Transparent conducting nanoscale-domes were periodically patterned on a Si substrate by nanoimprint method. Transparent conductor of indium-tin-oxide (ITO) was shaped as a nanodome, which effectively drives the incident light effectively into a light-absorber and therefore induces a substantially enhanced photo-response. An ITO nanodome is electrically isolated from the neighboring nanodomes. This structure benefits to provide a low contact between a Si substrate and a front metal electrode giving an efficient electrical path. The ITO nanodome device showed a significantly enhanced photo-response of 6010 from the value of 72.9 of a planar ITO film. The electrical and optical advantage of an ITO nanodome is suitable for various photoelectric applications.

  • 산화제를 함유한 셀룰로우스 아세테이트 필름을 피롤 증기 속에 노출시킴으로써 전도성 셀룰로우스/폴리피롤 복합체 필름을 합성하고 폴리피롤의 형성을 IR 및 전자현미경을 사용하여 확인했다. 복합체 내에 존재하는 폴리피롤의 형태는 사용한 산화제의 종류에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 산화제로 사용한 몇 가지 금속염화물 중에서 염화제 2철이 높은 전도도를 가지는 복합체를 합성하는데 가장 효과적이며 50중량 퍼센트의 염화제 2철을 첨가해서 제조한 복합체 필름의 전기전도도는 $10^{-2}S/cm$에 달한다.

  • 메틸셀루로스를 호스트고분자로 하고 copper(II) percolate를 산화제로 사용하여 기상상태에서 직접중합방법으로 전도성 복합필름을 합성하였다. 필름으로서 우수한 성형성과 기계강도를 갖고 있는 메틸셀루로즈는 PVA와 키토산과는 달리 피롤에 대하여 높은 친화성을 나타내어서 기상중합시 호스트고분자로 적합하였다. 기상중합법으로 합성된 폴리피롤은 복합재료 내에서 전도성네트워크를 형성하여 전도성 복합필름의 전기전도도는 $10^{-1}-10^{-7}S/cm$를 나타내었다. 피롤이 호스트고분자 내에서의 폴리피롤로 중합이 되는 정도를 UV-vis분광계로 확인하였다. 전도성 복합필름의 전기전도도와 기계강도는 산화제의 농도와 합성시간에 크게 의존하였다. TGA분석결과는 호스트고분자 내에 형성된 폴리피롤은 복합재료의 열적 안정성에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 전자현미경 분석결과 폴리피롤이 복합재료 내에 균일하게 침투하여 분산되어 있음을 나타내었다. DMA를 사용하여 폴리피롤과 호스트고분자와의 상용성을 조사하였으며 dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA) 분석결과 복합재료 내에서 폴리피롤의 함량이 증가되면서 상용성이 점진적으로 저하되었다.

Facile Preparation of Nanosilver-decorated MWNTs Using Silver Carbamate Complex and Their Polymer Composites

  • We successfully decorated multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) with silver by reacting Ag-NPs with thiolfunctionalized MWNT-SH. Ag alkylcarbamate complex was used as an Ag precursor. Uniform Ag-NPs (5-10 nm) were effectively prepared by microwaving within 60 s using 1-amino-4-methylpiperazine (AMP), which acts as a reaction medium, reducing agent, and stabilizer. The MWNTs were functionalized with 2-aminoethanethiol. Exploiting the chemical affinity between thiol and Ag-NPs, Ag-MWNT nanohybrids were obtained by spontaneous chemical adsorption of MWNT-SH to Ag through Ag-S bonds. The Ag-S-MWNTs were characterized by TGA, XRD, and TEM to confirm that Ag-NPs were uniformly decorated onto the MWNTs. The Ag-S-MWNTs were then employed as conducting filler in epoxy resin to fabricate electrically conducting polymer composites. The electrical properties of the composites were measured and compared with that containing MWNT-SH. The electrical conductivity of composites containing 0.4 wt % Ag-S-MWNT was four orders of magnitude higher than those containing same content of MWNT-SH, confirming Ag-S-MWNT as an effective conducting filler.

전도성 고분자/CdTe 나노입자/탄소 나노튜브 복합박막의 특성 연구 (Characterization of Conducting Polymer/CdTe Nanoparticles/Carbon Nanotube Composites in Thin Films)

  • The composites composed of conducting polymer (MEH-PPV), CdTe nanoparticles, and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were spectroscopically and electrically characterized in their thin films. The composite films were prepared by spray coating. These composites were prepared from the mixture solution of MEH-PPV and CdTe-embedded MWNTs, in which CdTe nanoparticles were electrostatically bound to MWNTs. UV/vis and PL spectra were analyzed to investigate the optical absorbance and emission of the composite films. In addition, their structural, electrochemical, and electrical properties were studied by transmission electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and I-V measurement.

  • 본 연구에서는 엇갈림 배열 관군 사이를 전기 전도성 유체가 흐를 때 외부에서 인가한 자기장의 영향으로 변화하는 열유동 특성을 수치해석적으로 연구하였다. Reynolds 수 50과 100의 비정상 층류 관군 유동에서 외부 인가 자기장의 세기를 의미하는 Hartmann 수를 0에서 100까지 점진적으로 변화시킴에 따라 관군 내부의 열유동 특성을 관찰하였다. Hartmann 수가 증가함에 따라 인가 자기장의 영향으로 관표면의 속도 경계층이 얇아지고, 유동 박리를 후류로 지연시키며, 관 후면에 형성되는 재순환 영역의 크기가 줄어드는 것을 관찰하였다. 최종적으로 열유동 변형에 의한 결과적 국소 및 평균 Nusselt 수 변화 특성을 제시하였다.

Electrically Conductive PEDOT:PSS/Acrylamide organogels

  • Gel have enormous applicable region due to inherently high stretchability and bio-compatibility. Here, we fabricated highly stretchable electronic conductive organogels which have long-term stability in environment. By introducing a dialysis step which can incorporate conducting polymer, PEDOT, on the procedure of gel synthesis, residual ions inside the gel were removed. In addition, we replaced the water with organic solvent, EG, inside the gels which is high stability in air. Unlike conventional hydrogels, there are no ionic conduction occurred and electrochemically driven current was prevented during electrical voltage was applied. The fabricated organogels are hardly dried during air exposure, and only electrically conductive without any electrochemical reaction at even high voltage. In order to utilize as stretchable conductor, we demonstrated a LED array circuit using the conductive organogels as electrical interconnects. It was successfully operative even stretched up to 300% strain.

원통형 스퍼터링 장치로 제작한 Ti 및 Al 박막구조 (Structure of Ti and Al Films Prepared by Cylindrical Sputtering System)

  • Metal films (i.e., Ti, Al and SUH310S) were prepared in a magnetron sputtering apparatus, and their cross-sectional structures were investigated using scanning electron microscopy. The apparatus used consisted of a cylindrical metal target which was electrically grounded, and two anode rings attached to the top and to the bottom of the target. A wire was placed along the center-line of the cylindrical target to provide a substrate. When the electrical potential of the substrate was varied, the metal-film formation rate depended on both the discharge voltage and the electrical potential of the substrate. As we made the magnetic field stronger, the plasma which appeared near the target collected on the plasma wall surface and thereby decreased the bias current. The bias current on the conducting wire was different from that for cation collection. The bias current decreased because the collection of cations decreased when we increased the magnetic-coil current. When the substrate was electrically isolated, the films deposited showed a slightly coarse columnar structure with thin voids between adjacent columns. In contrast, in the case of the grounded substrate, the deposited film did not show any clear columns but instead, showed a densely-packed granular structure. No peeling region was observed between the film and substrate, indicating good adhesion.
