  • The masticatory muscle relaxation appliance is developed to improve the malhabit of tooth clenching of the wearer. The repeated clenching of the tooth causes excessive attrition of tooth set. The intraoral appliance measures the tooth clenching pressure data and transmits the data to masticatory muscle relaxation appliance. The appliance compares the pressure data with the reference value and generates the warning signal. The relaxation appliance also stores the clenching pressure data for clenching habit analysis. The appliance is designed with a microprocessor, real time clock, nonvolatile read write memory and dual serial communication ports.

  • This paper proposed a new diffusion model considering DSM rebate program's support conditions. The proposed method used some aspects of the rebate program such as support qualifications, annual support volume, and support level per appliance as following : The support qualifications were limited as the consumer which can get the rebate program's benefit, the annual support volume was constrained as the fixing budget and the support level per appliance was considered by high-efficient appliance actuality price. This paper also proposed a new method that used neural network as its parameter estimation moth[,4 for the diffusion model. The diffusion model and its parameter estimation method are expected to be able to analyze the diffusion characteristics of high-efficient appliance through the rebate program and the effects of rebate program's support conditions. Also, these will be able to evaluate the impacts and to analyze the cost-effectiveness of Energy Efficiency Demand-Side Management(EEDSM) resources. The case study is performed on the high-efficient lighting appliance rebate program of Korea by using the suggested diffusion model and estimation method and thus verified its validity.

And, because electricity living body formation operation appliance is too expensive, it becomes burden to buy in small scale hospital. Also, problem that economical damage by income is added follows. Therefore this treatise developed electricity living body formation operation appliance by home production. Ultra high frequency eruption circuit used LC circuit, and output frequency is possible to 8 [MHz], and output voltage amplified maximum 800 [V]. This operation appliance could display size of fixed current.

Impact of User Convenience on Appliance Scheduling of a Home Energy Management System

  • Regarding demand response (DR) by residential users (R-users), the users try to reduce electricity costs by adjusting their power consumption in response to the time-varying price. However, their power consumption may be affected not only by the price, but also by user convenience for using appliances. This paper proposes a methodology for appliance scheduling (AS) that considers the user convenience based on historical data. The usage pattern for appliances is first modeled applying the copula function or clustering method to evaluate user convenience. As the modeling results, the comfort distribution or representative scenarios are obtained, and then used to formulate a discomfort index (DI) to assess the degree of the user convenience. An AS optimization problem is formulated in terms of cost and DI. In the case study, various AS tasks are performed depending on the weights for cost and DI. The results show that user convenience has significant impacts on AS. The proposed methodology can contribute to induce more DR participation from R-users by reflecting properly user convenience to AS problem.

  • This paper describes design and implementation of home network control protocol for networked home appliances. The proposed network protocol has four-layered protocol structure and device-modem interface structure for the flexibility of modems based on power line communication. The standard message set is specified to guarantee the interoperability between various home appliances The proposed protocol can be easily implemented because it has minimum network overhead.

  • In this paper, We developed specifications light-way lighting appliance for efficient construction Wiring embody lighting appliance is convenient for divergence of circuit and arrangement construction of lamp. Also, it can be shortened construction period because series construction is available. Improved product is high work efficiency because the volume is small and the weight is light. Power line and line of communication are received each tray, so equipment is secure. We believe that the product is available for gallery, museum, and parking lot etc.

  • For the global microwave market, high RF power or deluxe model is applying for inverter gradually. In this paper, 120[V]/1200[W] high power inverter is proposed and verified by an optimized design of PFM type. Especially the steady power output control was fulfilling at +/- 10[%] input voltage variation.
