  • 전자파 방사 및 측정 시험설비로 표준 시험장인 야외시험장을 사용하고 있으나 시험장 구축의 어려움으로 이를 대체할 수 있는 대용시험장을 사용하여 측정시험을 할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최적화된 측정시스템을 구성하기 위한 대용시험시설인 GTEM CELL(Gigahertz Transverse Electro Magnetic Cell)의 구조분석 및 설계를 하기 위하여 내부도체(Septum)의 넓이 및 두께 변화에 따른 내부도체의 특성임피던스 변화를 살펴보았다.

  • In this paper, Solar, Wind, fuel cell used in a Power conversion devices and industrial inverter motor to increase the efficiency of energy consumption, which is a core part of high-efficiency, high-voltage Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT was studied. For this purpose Planar type NPT IGBT and Planar type Field Stop IGBT have designed a basic structure designed to Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT based on the completed structure by analyzing the energy consumption of electrical characteristics, efficiency is a key part, high-efficiency and high-voltage inverter for industry regarding the optimization design for Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT.

  • The most recently IGBT (insulated gate bipolar mode transistor) devices are in the most current conduction capable devices and designed to the big switching power device. Use this number of the devices are need to high voltage and low on-state voltage drop. And then in this paper design of field stop IGBT is insert N buffer layer structure in NPT planar IGBT and optimization design of field stop IGBT and trench field stop IGBT, both devices have a comparative analysis and reflection of the electrical characteristics. As a simulation result, trench field stop IGBT is electrical characteristics better than field stop IGBT.

  • Processes for optimizing the coil shape of deflection yoke are proposed A very accurate and practical winding modeler is developed and volume integral equation method (VIEM) is used for field calculation. Two steps of optimizations are done by using (1+1) evolution strategy. Those are dimensional optimization and pin-position optimization Various techniques are applied for reducing computational time for the optimization.

  • The On-line Electric Vehicle (OLEV) is an electric transport system in which the vehicle's power is transferred wirelessly from power lines underneath the surface of the road. Advantages of the OLEV include reducing battery size and cost to about 20 percent of that of conventional battery-powered electric vehicles, thereby minimizing the vehicle's weight and price, as well as the cost of charging the system. In this paper, we introduce a wireless power transfer mechanism to maximize the electrical performance of the power transfer system. Power transfer capacity, power transfer efficiency, and magnitude of leakage in the electromagnetic field (EMF) are analyzed, and the optimization methodology of the design parameters is discussed.

  • In the present paper, the mover speed control of a linear induction motor (LIM) using a sliding mode control design is proposed, considering the end effects. First, the indirect field-oriented control LIM is derived, considering the end effects. The sliding mode control design is then investigated to achieve speed- and flux-tracking under load thrust force disturbance. The numerical simulation results of the proposed scheme present good performances in comparison to that of the classical sliding mode control.

  • This study tries to test and analyze the static friction torque generated by an electromagnetic clutch. Then the torque is improved by optimizing the shape of armature. For the purpose of design change and optimization of the electromagnetic clutch, the static friction torque prediction is very important. We construct an axi symmetric FEM model for analyzing the static friction torque and used a torque tester for evaluating the real torque. For a test, predicted static friction torque is compared with the experimental one to discuss the rationality of torque analysis process. The analytical result agrees well with experimental data, explaining the validity of the mathematical process and FEM model. After confirming the torque analysis process, the optimization process is investigated. The optimization result shows that the static torque is improved by changing the armature shape.

  • In this paper, a shape optimization algorithm of superconducting magnet using finite element method is presented. Since the superconductor loses its superconductivity over the critical magnetic field and critical current density, this material property should be taken into account in the design process. Trial and error approach of repeating the change of the design variables costs much time and it sometimes does not guarantee an optimal design. This paper presents a systematic and efficient design algorithm for the superconducting magnet. We employ the sensitivity analysis based on finite element formulation. As for optimization algorithm, the inequality constraint for the superconducting state is removed by modifying the objective function and the nonlinear equality constraint of constant volume is satisfied by the gradient projection method. This design algorithm is applied to an optimal design problem of a solenoid air-cored superconducting magnet that has a design objective of the maximum energy storage.

Analysis and Optimization of Permanent Magnet Dimensions in Electrodynamic Suspension Systems

  • In this paper, analytical modeling of lift and drag forces in permanent magnet electrodynamic suspension systems (PM EDSs) are presented. After studying the impacts of PM dimensions on the permanent magnetic field and developed lift force, it is indicated that there is an optimum PM length in a specified thickness for a maximum lift force. Therefore, the optimum PM length for achieving maximum lift force is obtained. Afterward, an objective design optimization is proposed to increase the lift force and to decrease the material cost of the system by using Genetic Algorithm. The results confirm that the required values of the lift force can be achieved; while, reducing the system material cost. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and experimental tests are carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the PM EDS system model and the proposed optimization method. Finally, a number of design guidelines are extracted.

  • In high field (> 3 T) MR imaging, the magnetic field inhomogeneity in the target object increases due to the nonuniform electro-magnetic characteristics and relatively high Larmor frequency. Especially in the body imaging, the effect causes more serious problems resulting in locally high SAR(Specific Absorption Ratio). In this paper, we propose an optimized parallel-transmission RF coil element structure and show the utility of the coil by FDTD simulations to overcome the unwanted effects. Three types of TX coil elements are tested to maximize the efficiency and their driving patterns(amplitude and phase) optimized to have adequate field homogeneity, proper SAR level, and sufficient field strength. For the proposed coil element of 25 cm ${\times}$ 8 cm loop structure with 12 channels for a 3.0 T body coil, the 73% field non-uniformity without optimization was reduced to about 26% after optimization of driving patterns. The experimental as well as simulation results show the utility of the proposed parallel driving scheme is clinically useful for (ultra) high field MRI.
