권선 방식에 의한 공통 모드 초크의 특성해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics Analysis of Winding Method for Common-Mode Choke)

  • This paper presents the intra capacitance modeling according to the winding method and section bobbin for CM choke capable of the EMI attenuation of broad bands from lower frequency bands to higher frequency bands and high frequency type common-mode choke capable of the EMI attenuation of high frequency band used in the EMI Block of LED-TV SMPS. In case of high frequency type CM choke, it can be explained the parasitic capacitance of A type and section bobbin type winding methods among them is much smaller than the other. The first resonant frequency of the proposed CM choke tends to increase as the parasitic capacitance becomes small and its impedance characteristics also show improved performance as the first resonant frequency increases. In the future, the CM chokes of high frequency type show it can be practically used in not only LED/LCD-TV SMPS but also several applications such as LED Lighting, Adapter and so on.

금속산화물 전극을 사용한 Furfuryl Alcohol의 양극산화 (Anodic Oxidation of Furfuryl Alcohol Using Metal Oxide Electrodes)

  • 세종류의 금속산화물 전극을 양극으로 사용하여 methanol 용액중에서 furfuryl alcohol을 양극산화 시켜 2,5-dimethoxy-2,5-dihydrofurfuryl alcohol을 전해합성 하였다. 각 전극들은 티타늄 재질상에 산화주석($SnO_2$)과 삼산화이안티몬($Sb_2O_3$)의 반도체 혼합물층을 전기로 내에어 만들고, 그 위에 양극산화방법으로 ${\alpha}-PbO_2$, ${\beta}-PbO_2$, $MnO_2$등의 금속산화물을 전착(electrodeposition)하여 3종의 전극을 제작하였다. 이산화납 전극이 이산화망간 전극에 비하여 양극 내식성이 우수하였으며 생성물의 수율(92%)도 백금전극을 사용했던 결과와 대등하였다.

Remote Nozzle Blocking Device of RCS Pipe during Mid-Loop Operation in Nuclear Power Plants

  • Currently most nuclear power plants(NPPs) are adopted the mid-loop operation to minimize the overhaul period and save the operating cost. For mid-loop operation it is essential to install nozzle dam between RCS pipe and steam generator(SG). Because SG remains more highly contaminated with radioactive material than any other parts of the NPPs, the repairmen are very reluctant to carry out installing nozzle dam inside the SG. Until now, unfortunately, it appears that no practically applicable device was developed to provide the longstanding demand. Also the accidents have been reported by licenser event report during this operation mode due to loss of residual heat removal(RHR). The purpose of this paper is to conduct remotely blocking and disintegration of nozzle of a SG which has the highest radiation exposure during the maintenance in NPPs. The remote nozzle blocking device of a SG includes three bladders, hubs, air controller provisions to supply and contact air pressure into the bladders. This remote nozzle block device will give the larger operation margin to prevent the loss of RHR and minimize the radiation exposure dose to the repairman and shorten the overhaul periods.

대용량 무정전 전원장치를 위한 배터리 모니터링 시스템 (Battery Monitoring System for High Capacity Uninterruptible Power Supply)

  • 배터리는 ESS, 전기자동차 및 무정전 전원 백업 시스템 등의 다양한 분야에서 사용이 증가하고 있다. 납산배터리는 에너지밀도가 낮지만, 신뢰성이 높고 저가격의 이점으로 대용량 전력백업 장비에 가장 많이 사용되는 배터리이다. 배터리의 사용에 따라 노화가 진행되면 충전 가능 용량(SoH)이 줄어들게 되어 상태를 추정하는 것이 매우 중요하며, 배터리의 내부저항으로 SoH를 추정하는 방법을 많이 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 대표적인 대용량 무정전 전원장치인 IDC를 위한 배터리 모니터링 시스템(BMS)을 제안하였다. 내부저항을 측정하는 간단한 알고리즘을 제안하고, BMS 시스템 구성을 위한 CPU 및 아날로그 회로 구성과 신호처리 알고리즘에 대한 연산 블록도를 보였다. 실제 IDC 현장에 적용한 측정결과 사례를 제시하여 제안한 방법의 유용함을 보였다.

An IE-FFT Algorithm to Analyze PEC Objects for MFIE Formulation

  • An IE-FFT algorithm is implemented and applied to the electromagnetic (EM) solution of perfect electric conducting (PEC) scattering problems. The solution of the method of moments (MoM), based on the magnetic field integral equation (MFIE), is obtained for PEC objects with closed surfaces. The IE-FFT algorithm uses a uniform Cartesian grid to apply a global fast Fourier transform (FFT), which leads to significantly reduce memory requirement and speed up CPU with an iterative solver. The IE-FFT algorithm utilizes two discretizations, one for the unknown induced surface current on the planar triangular patches of 3D arbitrary geometries and the other on a uniform Cartesian grid for interpolating the free-space Green's function. The uniform interpolation of the Green's functions allows for a global FFT for far-field interaction terms, and the near-field interaction terms should be adequately corrected. A 3D block-Toeplitz structure for the Lagrangian interpolation of the Green's function is proposed. The MFIE formulation with the IE-FFT algorithm, without the help of a preconditioner, is converged in certain iterations with a generalized minimal residual (GMRES) method. The complexity of the IE-FFT is found to be approximately $O(N^{1.5})$and $O(N^{1.5}logN)$ for memory requirements and CPU time, respectively.

실차 비교 및 검증을 통한 복합재 브레이크의 개발 효용성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Development Effectiveness of Composite Brake through Real Car Comparison and Verification)

  • Composite material is recently very important material for eco-friendly vehicles because of its excellent mechanical property and lightweight effect. So, many research results have been recently published for developing the composite material to apply vehicles. In this paper, new brake system is presented using composite material to response this situation. And advantages in terms of performance compared to competitive company will be discussed in depth to verify superiorities of the new composite brake. To do so, composite brake systems which have the same size as the competitive company to the same vehicle is applied. And superiorities through a variety of test results are presented. First, normal braking performances are compared with competitive company through braking effect, heat capacity and friction test, Second, circuit driving and high speed fade test are also verified with competitive company to confirm harsh braking performances for the new composite brake system. Finally, the effects of applying the composite brake to automobile industry like electric car are analyzed.

Design and Analysis of 2 GHz Low Noise Amplifier Layout in 0.13um RF CMOS

  • This paper presents analysis of passive metal interconnection of the LNA block in CMOS integrated circuit. The performance of circuit is affected by the geometry of RF signal path. To investigate the effect of interconnection lines, a cascode LNA is designed, and circuit simulations with full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulations are executed for different positions of a component. As the results, the position of an external capacitor (Cex) changes the parasitic capacitance of electric coupling; the placement of component affects the circuit performance. This analysis of interconnection line is helpful to analyze the amount of electromagnetic coupling between the lines, and useful to choose the signal path in the layout design. The target of this work is the RF LNA enabling the seamless connection of wireless data network and the following standards have to be supported in multi-band (WCDMA: 2.11~ 2.17 GHz, CDMA200 1x : 1.84~1.87 GHz, WiBro : 2.3~2.4GHz) mobile application. This work has been simulated and verified by Cadence spectre RF tool and Ansoft HFSS. And also, this work has been implemented in a 0.13um RF CMOS technology process.

스마트 철도 통신 표준화 동향과 지향점 (Smart Railway Communication Standardization Trend and Direction)

  • 철도 교통시스템은 최근 들어 각 구성 요소의 자동화 단계를 넘어 지능화를 추구하는 스마트 철도로 발전하고 있다. IoT(: Internet of Things), 빅데이터, 딥러닝, AI(: Artificial Intelligence), 블록체인 등 ICT(: Information & Communications Technology) 기술에 기반한 스마트 철도는 국내외 철도 기술에 많은 발전적 변화를 일으킬 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 스마트 철도 시스템(SRS: Smart Railway System)의 근간을 이루는 철도 통신 기술의 국내외 표준화 동향에 대해서 살펴보고 향후 우리나라 철도교통시스템에서의 열차제어 기술(CBTC)이 세계 철도산업에서의 선도 기술이 되기 위한 지향점(UBTC)에 관하여 논한다.

리튬이온 배터리 방전 시 발열 특성 및 냉각 실험과 유한요소 해석 (Thermal Characteristics and Cooling Experiments and Analysis of Finite Elements in the Discharge of Lithium-Ion Batteries)

  • Lithium-ion batteries are predominantly employed in electric vehicles and energy storage devices, offering the advantage of high energy density. However, they are susceptible to efficiency degradation when operated at high temperatures due to their sensitivity to the external environment. In this study, we conducted experiments using an indirect cooling method to prevent thermal runaway and explosions in lithium-ion batteries. The results were validated by comparing them with heat transfer simulations conducted through a commercial finite element analysis program. The experiments included single-cell exothermic tests and cooling experiments on a battery pack with 10 cells connected in series, utilizing 21700 lithium-ion batteries. To block external temperature influences, the experimental environment featured an extrusion method insulation in the environmental chamber. The cooling system, suitable for indirect cooling, was constructed with copper tubes and pins. The heat transfer analysis began by presenting a single-cell heating model using commercial software, which was then employed to analyze the heating and cooling of the battery pack.

  • 필댐의 안정성 해석에 있어서 누수와 내부침식은 매우 중요한 평가의 한 부분이다 연구대상 지역의 필댐은 내부침식으로 추정되는 댐 상부의 공동발생 및 과대 누수량으로 문제가 발생하여, CGS(compaction grouting system)으로 보강공사를 수행하였으며, 본 보강방법은 주입재료 및 주입압력이 중요한 변수로 작용을 한다. 본 연구에서는 CGS 보강이 필댐의 안정성에 미치는 영향을 CGS보강 전후에 지구물리탐사를 수행하여 해석하였다. 본 조사에 적용된 방법에는 전기비저항탐사, 탄성파 굴절법탐사, GPR탐사, HFMT탐사 등이 적용되었다. 조사결과 CGS 보강으로 댐의 전제척인 거동에 많은 영향을 준 것으로 나타났으며, 주입압력이 과대하여 댐 중심코아에 많은 변위가 발생된 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
