  • 건강관리 서비스를 통한 고령자의 건강증진 효과에 관련한 연구는 그 동안 많이 진행되어 왔지만 정작 건강관리 서비스를 효과적으로 제공하기 위해 고령자들의 니즈를 파악한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 도시, 농촌간의 지역별 특징과 수요를 분석을 통해 고령자 건강관리 서비스의 방향성을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 도심지역과 농촌지역별 고령자의 건강관련 프로그램 이용현황 및 건강관리방법과 건강관리 서비스 형태 및 콘텐츠에 대한 지역별 수요 분석을 통하여 맞춤형 건강관리 서비스 모델의 개선 방향을 제시하였다.

영양사 유무에 따른 재가노인 급식서비스 제공기관의 실태 분석 (Analyzing the Operational Differences of Foodservice Center for Homebound elderly by the Presence of the Dietitian)

  • The purposes of this study was to analyze the operational difference of foodservice center for homebound elderly by the presence of the dietitian. The questionnaire was developed to measure all variables for menu management and distributed to 103 meal service centers in charge of congregate meal service program and 57 centers for home-delivered meal service program. The data of 160 centers in charge of congregate meal service and home-delivered service centers were usable for analysis. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS 8.1 package program for descriptive analysis and chi-square test. Only 21.9% meal service centers had dietitians, what is more, they were not professionals who did menu management but foodservice managers, volunteers, cook or social workers. The current foodservice programs for the homebound elderly were operated without professional. In the part of menu managemet, dietitians were more actively involved in menu planning in the elderly foodservice center in the presence of the dietitians. The performance level of healthcare service was not significantly different, but the nutrition education in the elderly foodservice center with the dietitians was more frequently performed than that without the dietitians(p<0.05). In the food purchasing and food production management, the significant differences were shown that in the elderly foodservice centers in the presence of the dietitians, the proportion of the contract purchasing was significantly higher than that of direct purchasing(p<0.01). In food sanitary management, the significant differences were not shown in the part of management of keeping meal for identifying the cause of food-borne illness and left-over, but the sanitation education for the foodservice employees was performed more frequently by the presence of the dietitians(p<0.01). In conclusion, the foodservice management was more systematically conducted in the elderly foodservice centers in the presence of the dietitians than that without dietitians. The elderly foodservice program has offered the health-related support for homebound elderly. Although there were several problems in elderly foodservice management, the program delivered well-targeted, effective, and efficient nutrition services and wide range of supportive service to the at-risk older population. It needs to be managed by professional for the improvement in the elderly foodservice.

노인을 위한 무료급식 제도에 대한 지역 주민의 의식조사 -성남시를 중심으로- (Opinions about Free Congregate Site Meal Service for Elderly in Sungnam Area)

  • This study was designed to find out opinions about free congregate site meals that the program served to improve nutritional status of low socio-economic elderly. This study was conducted in Sungnam-shi. The purpose of this study provided the baseline data to extend the meal service program in this area. Five hundred samples were selcted by the propotion of population in three districts(Sujung-gu, Jungwon-gu, Bundang-gu). The result were as follows. 72.8$\%$of subjects were women and 27.2$\%$of subjects were extended family type. Seventy$\%$ of respondant were not aware of the free meal service for elderly. Major channels of information about free meal service were mass media(33.8$\%$)and advertisement material from city (24.3$\%$). The rate of recognition and channels of information about free meal service were different according to demographic characteristics of subjects. Sixty-eight of subjects pointed that the meal service program was highly necessary in these areas and the necessity of the program was not significantly different by socio-economic variables. The group who know about free meal service had a positive attitude toward supporting the meal service program. Women preferred labor volunteers(46.8$\%$)at meal service center and men preferred donations. According to levels of education each group preferred different types of surpport for free congregate site meals for elderly. (Korean J Community Nutrition 2(2) : 246~255, 1997)

경로식당 급식서비스 운영관리 실태분석 (Analyzing the Current Congregate Meal Service Program for Homebound Elderly)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the current congregate meal service program for homebound elderly. One hundred three meal service centers in charge of the congregate meal service programs as part of the elderly foodservice program were surveyed for administrative structure, menu management, food purchasing and production management, hygiene, equipment, and facilities. Statistical data analyses were completed using the SAS 8.1 program for descriptive analysis and ANOVA. The meal cost of 54.4% of the congregate meal service centers ranged from ₩l,500 to ₩l,999 per meal. According to the menu analysis, all nutrients except calcium and Vitamin B2 were at levels of more than 33% of the Recommended Dietary Allowances for Koreans. A total of 81.5% of the centers were operated without the services of a dietitian, and food purchasing, menu planning and other foodservice management processes were handled by non-professionals, such as volunteers, cooks or social workers. Although 88.3% of the centers required a therapeutic diet menu for the health of the elderly, most directors (77.6%) replied that in their current status they could not afford to serve therapeutic diets. These results suggest that financial and systematic supports by government is very necessary. Fifty-five percent of the centers never used standard recipes. For determining portion sizes, 93.2% of the congregate meal service centers depended on the personal experience of the personnel. Finally, the current congregate meal services for the homebound elderly were not operated systematically. To improve the elderly food service program, it is strong1y recommended that it be managed by Professionals.

Now, the problem of supporting the old is in need of social supporting system the cope with this are based on these factors are like this: 1) It is necessarily the instruction of medical welfare service. 2) The overlapped service is avoided and the service of specialized. 3) Most of the welfare service institution is Seoul and local city hall, so it needs the institution is transferred. 4) It needs the increase the number of home helper. 5) When the service is offered, the government must considers finance, elderly health condition and preference. 6) It needs the department for the welfare service for the old who stay at home.

재가와상노인 서비스제공 모델 개발을 위한 연구 (Development of an Urban Community Based Comprehensive Service Model for Bed-Ridden Elderly)

  • Purpose: This study aims to identify the ADL and IADL of bed-ridden elderly. Also it is used to show fuctional status, and to investigate the content and the level of nursing services provided. Method: The subjects were 191 elderly who received visiting nurse service through public health centers in the Seoul Metopolitan and Chungnam Province. Data collection was conducted by public health center nurses during four months in 2000. Result: As for daily living activities, 100% of subjects had at least one difficulty in ADL and IADL. Among them, only 0.5% had moderate disabilities and 99.5% had severe disabilities by HFS, 27.9% were in a semi bed-ridden state and 72.1% were completely bed-ridden by JABC. The major service provided was a visiting nurse service which was preferable to the social welfare service. In the visiting nurse service, there was no significant difference according to the elderlys' functional status. In addition there was no standadization about the qualification of the visiting nurse, and single entry point for the nursing service. Conclusion: The researchers urgently suggest that a community based comprehensive service model has to be developed to respond to the needs of the elderly in Korea.

고령자 그룹홈의 운영과 거주자의 생활 실태 (A Research on the Management Condition of Group Homes for the Elderly and Their Living Environment)

  • To investigate the actual management condition of group homes for the elderly and their living environment, four group homes and 26 elderly people living in the group home were surveyed. As the results, the relationships between the administrator and the elderly were acceptable, but the group homes seem suffer from insufficient administrative supports. The most required service in the group homes was a conversational partner service. Moreover, the most satisfactory point for the elderly living in group homes was the settlement of food, clothing, and housing. The unsatisfactory things were the service related to medical, leisure, and house work and an invasion of their private life. The resident elderly in group homes were fully satisfied with their living environment including the relationship with the manager and the people in the facility. They, however, do not have much chance to make an exchange with their neighbor. Overall, the elderly want to stay continuously in the group homes where they are living current.

사회서비스 이용자 정보가용성이 서비스 품질 및 만족에 미치는 영향: 재가노인복지서비스를 대상으로 (The Effects of Information Literacy of Social Service Users' on Service Quality and Satisfaction: Based on Elderly Home Care Services)

  • 본 연구는 재가노인복지서비스 이용자들 사이에 정보가용성의 차이가 있는지 확인하고, 정보가용성이 품질 및 만족에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 전라북도 지역 이용자의 응답자료 466부를 활용하여 차이검증과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서비스 이용자의 성별, 가구 형태, 거주 지역, 학력, 주관적 건강상태에 따라 정보가용성의 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 정보가용성은 서비스 품질과 만족에 유의미하게 영향을 미쳤다. 정보가용성의 하위요소 중 특히 서비스 내용에 대한 정보와 요구 가능한 내용에 대한 정보는 기타 정보가용성 하위요소 보다 서비스 품질 및 만족에 더욱 큰 영향력을 나타내었으며, 이는 각 이용자의 욕구와 상황을 기반으로 한 맞춤형 서비스의 중요성을 보여준다. 본 연구는 재가노인복지서비스 이용자들 사이의 정보가용성이 서비스 만족과 품질에 미치는 영향력을 확인하였고, 이러한 결과는 재가노인복지서비스 이용자 중 정보취약계층에 대한 효율적이고 능동적인 정보제공 방안이 필요함을 시사한다.

도시단독주택단지 경로당 시설유형 및 노인복지서비스 이용현황에 관한 비교 연구 - 대전광역시를 중심으로 - (A Comparative Study on the Facilities' Type of Gyungrodang in Urban Single Rousing District and Present Condition of Welfare Service of the Elderly - Focused on Daejeon City -)

  • Recently there has been increasing the population of the elderly, the welfare of the elderly is no longer family's and personal problems. It is a social issue that the communities have a role to supply the systematic welfare service of the elderly and the facilities. Therefore It is needed to study the extended function and role of Gyungrodang because Gyungrodang is the most wide spreaded welfare service facilities for the normal elderly in urban single housing district. The subject of this study is to propose the facilities' program improvement method for the Gyungrodang that hold a extended role as a community welfare service facility for the elderly. This paper Is assessed as an sustainable research of normalization of the old people's living. By the comparison analysis of the existing Gyungrodang in Daejeon City and the investigation results of the welfare service present condition of the elderly in Daejeon City, finally the facilities' program improvement direction for the Gyungrodang is proposed.
