톱밥과 왕겨 혼합보드로 제조된 세라믹의 표면 온도 변화 - 수지함침율 및 탄화온도의 영향 - (A Change in Surface Temperature of Ceramics Made from Board Mixed with Sawdust and Rice Husk - Effect of Resin Impregnation Rate and Carbonization Temperature -)

  • 톱밥과 왕겨로 제조된 혼합보드로 세라믹을 제조한 후 수지함침율 및 소성온도에 따른 세라믹의 표면온도를 조사하였다. 경과시간 초기에 표면온도가 급상승 하였으며 수지함침율 60~70%와 소성온도 $1200^{\circ}C$로 제조된 세라믹의 표면온도가 가장 높았다. 히터의 표면온도보다 혼합세라믹의 표면온도 하강속도가 느려 혼합세라믹의 열 보존력이 높음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 연약점토 지반 개량을 위해 연직배수재 타설 후 선행재하공법이 일반적으로 적용되는데, 현장에서의 시공계획 변경 등으로 인해 연직배수재 타설 후 장기간 방치되는 경우가 종종 발생된다. 따라서 장기간 방치된 조건에서의 연직배수재 열화 현상을 고려하기 위해 구속압으로 적용되는 수온을 각각 30, 35, $40^{\circ}C$를 적용하였다. 그 결과, 시간경과에 따라 배수성능이 급격히 저하되는 경향을 나타냈다. 그리고 현장 원위치 조건, 즉, 점토 구속조건하에서 장기간 통수능 저하 정도를 평가하기 위하여 Miura와 Chai(2000)식을 적용하였다. 그 결과, 온도 변화 조건에서 수행된 통수능 시험결과를 이용한 신뢰성 해석 방법과 Miura와 chai(2000)식을 적용하여 장기 통수능을 평가할 수 있는 것으로 평가되었다.

  • 본 연구는 톱밥과 농업부산물인 귤박을 이용하여 보드를 제조하고 세라믹화 하여 표면온도 및 원적외선 방사특성을 조사하였다. 세라믹의 표면온도는 경과시간 10분까지는 급속히 상승하였고, 30분 후에는 탄화온도가 높을수록 높았고, 귤박 혼합율별로는 별 영향이 없었다. 원적외선 방사율은 귤박 혼합율에 따라 일정한 경향이 없었고, 탄화온도가 증가할수록 낮은 값을 보였다.

  • 상업용 막전극접합체를 사용하여 제작한 고분자전해질 연료전지의 CO poisoning 및 air bleeding 효과가 스택의 셀전압 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험을 통해 확보한 동적 응답 데이터에 일차 미분방정식으로 표현되는 일차계 모델을 적용하여 정상상태 이득과 시간상수를 계산하는 방법으로 스택 셀전압의 응답 특성을 정량화하였다. 연료전지 개질기로부터 공급되는 개질 가스에 포함된 CO 농도가 1 ppm 증가할 때마다 셀전압은 1.3~1.6 mV 저하되고, CO 농도의 변화폭이 클수록 정상상태에 도달하기까지 걸리는 시간이 점점 짧아지는 것으로 분석되었다. CO poisoning에 의해 저하된 스택 성능을 회복시키기 위해 air bleeding을 수행할 경우, 주입하는 공기의 농도를 증가시킬수록 셀전압 상승폭(정상상태 이득)이 커지고 회복시간(시간상수)은 짧아지나, 1% 수준의 air bleeding만으로도 CO poisoning이 일어나기 전 셀전압의 87%~96%를 1~30 min 이내에 회복시킬 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

서중 외기온도 조건에 따른 80 MPa 고강도콘크리트의 특성 (Characteristics of the 80MPa High Strength Concrete according to the Hot Weather Outside Temperature conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 하절기 서중 온도조건이 80MPa 고강도콘크리트의 특성에 미치는 영향을 검토한 것으로 외기온도조건 $20^{\circ}C$, $30^{\circ}C$, $40^{\circ}C$에서 슬럼프플로, 충전성, 응결시간, 수화열 및 압축강도 발현 등의 특성을 평가하였다. 실험결과 온도 조건별 고강도콘크리트의 슬럼프 플로와 500mm도달 속도 및 경시변화는 외기온도 $20^{\circ}C$기준으로 온도가 $10^{\circ}C$ 상승시마다 외기온도 상승의 영향으로 급격한 슬럼프로스발생 시점을 약 30분 정도 앞당기는 것으로 나타났다. 응결시간은 외기온도 $20^{\circ}C$의 경우 초결 7시간, 종결 12시간으로 나타났으며, $30^{\circ}C$에서는 초결 1시간, 종결 3시간, $40^{\circ}C$에서는 초결 2시간, 종결 5시간정도 단축시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 외기온도 조건에 따른 고강도콘크리트의 수화발열 특성은 외기온도 $20^{\circ}C$$30^{\circ}C$에서는 최고온도 발현시간과 타설 깊이별 최고온도 등이 유사하게 나타났으나 외기온도 $40^{\circ}C$에서는 최고온도 발현시간이 약 4시간 빠르게 나타났으며, 타설 깊이별 최고온도는 평균 약 $12^{\circ}C$정도 높게 나타났다. 이와 같이 서중환경에서 제조, 시공되는 고강도콘크리트는 외기온도 조건에 따라 굳지 않은 콘크리트의 유동성, 충전성 및 경시변화 등의 특성이 상이하므로 외기온도의 영향을 고려한 작업성, 수화열에 의한 온도균열, 강도발현 특성 등의 검토를 통한 품질관리가 필요하다.

방사선 선량이 생체 내 조직에서 미량원소에 미치는 영향 (Impact of the Radiation Absorbed dose on the Microelements of Tissues in Living Bodies)

  • 방사선에너지가 생체에 미치는 영향 중 물질대사에 관여하는 미량원소의 함량을 알아보았다. 실험 방법은 mouse에 1Gy, 5Gy, 10Gy의 X선을 전신 조사한 후 간 조직에서 분석하였다. 그 결과, 일부 원소에서 대조군과 비교하여 함량 변화가 확인되었다. 선량에 따른 변화에서는 1Gy에서는 크게 차이를 보이지 않았으나 5Gy, 10Gy의 높은 선량에서는 Ca, Mn의 함량이 감소되었다. 그 중 Ca의 함량이 가장 많이 감소되었으며, 근육 긴장과 만성 두통 등의 증후군을 유발하는 것으로 판단된다. 함량 증가를 보인 원소는 Al으로 100% 증가된 것으로 조사되었다. 방사선 조사 후 기간 경과에 따른 함량 변화에서는 Fe, Ba 등에서 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 유해원소는 Cd 함량이 25% 증가 되었는데 이는 칼슘대사에 관여하는 것으로 알려졌다. 따라서 방사선에너지에 의한 세포 손상이 미량원소 함량 변화에 영향을 주는 것으로 판단되며, 전구증상을 유발하는데 일정부분 관련이 있는 것으로 사료된다.

말의 4족 보법에서 속도변화에 따른 전족 움직임의 운동능력 분석 (A Locomotive Analysis on Forelimbs' Movement According to Change in Velocity of Horses' Quadruped Cadence)

  • Objective : The purposes of this study was to analyze the locomotive movement of forelimbs according to changes in velocities in the quadruped cadence of horses. Methods : Horses selected as subjects consisted of Jeju pony horses (heights of withers: $1.23{\pm}0.51$). Two camcorders (HDR-HC7/HDV 1080i, Sony Corp, Japan) were used to capture the movement of the horses' forelimbs at a rate of 60 frames/sec. Additionally, raw data was collected from Kwon3D XP motion analysis package ver 4.0 program (Visol, Korea) with DARTFISH (DFKREA., Korea) video software solution. The variables analyzed consisted of 1 step lengths, 1 stride lengths, stance time, swing time, 1 stride time, velocity while walking, and trot of the horses. A two-way ANOVA and paired t-test of the variables by velocity and phase were treated at .05 level of significant difference, statistically. Results : The time elapsed of walk(stance: 0.63 sec[63.86%], swing: 0.35 sec[36.14%], 1 stride time: 0.99 sec respectively) showed significant difference with more delay than that of trot(stance: 0.29 sec[45.73%], swing: 0.34 sec[54.27% ], 1 stride time: 0.63 sec respectively), and also showed significant difference at trot in interaction (stance time>tort swing>walk swing>walk stance). The 1 step lengths and stride lengths in trot showed significant difference with longer than that of walk. Velocity of Trot showed significant difference statistically with higher than that of walk Conclusion : The horses' velocity during 1 step lengths and 1 stride lengths showed a proportional relationship, but the correlation between the horses' velocity and stance time showed a negative relationship during the quadruped cadence.

조미료가 창자 운동과 흡수기능에 미치는 영향 -소장의 피동적 흡수에 대한 고추의 영향- (The Effect of Seasoning on the Intestinal Absorption -Absorption by Passive Transport and the Effect of Red Pepper-)

  • Numerous factors concern with the absorption of substances through the membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. To simplify the experimental condition, present work has been restricted to observe the disappearance rate of substance from the intestinal loop which was made in the jejunum, 70 cm apart from the pylorus of the adult rabbit. The purpose of the study is to clarify the absorption of urea through the jejunal wall is solely attributable to the concentration difference between the luminal fluid and plasma, and to observe the effect of adding red pepper upon the rate of absorption. The rabbits were anesthetized with nembutal, 35mg/kg I.V. Jejunal loop was made by ligating at 2 spots, 70 cm and 80cm apart from the pylorus. After rinsing with normal saline solution through the polyethylene tubing inserted from the end of the loop, 8 ml of test solution was placed through the same tubing. The test solution contained 200 mg% of urea and 150mg% of polyethylene glycol(M.W. 4,000) in normal saline solution. Right after placing the test solution the first specimen was taken through the tubing, and successive samplings were performed at 5, 10, 20, and 30 minutes. Logarithm of the difference of urea concentration between the luminal fluid and plasma was plotted against time elapsed after the onset of the experiment. If straight line is revealed, it would verify the nature of transport mechanism as diffusion, obeying the Fick's principle. The concentration of polyethylene glycol (PEG) was also measured in order to examine the change in the volume. PEG was used as the marker substance because it is not absorbable in the intestinal tract. Consequently the concentration of PEG relates inversely to the volume of the loop. Instantaneous concentration of urea in the loop times the volume will give the amount of urea remaining in the luminal fluid. The change in the amount of any substance is directly relate to the volume of the compartment and differs from the change in the concentration which is independent of the volume. After completion of the experiment without red pepper, it was added in the test solution and was centrifuged after thorough mixing. Supernatant of the mixture was placed in the loop and similar sampling were performed with the same time intervals that of previous run in order to observe the effects of the red pepper on the passive transport of the water soluble small substance, urea. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Logarithm of the concentration difference of urea between the luminal fluid and plasma was diminished exponentially as time elapsed. The decay constant in the experiment without red pepper was 0.0563/min. By adding red pepper in the test solution as much as the concentration rose to 4,000 mg% and 8,000 mg%, the decay constants were lowered to 0.0493/min and to 0.0506/min, respectively. The time interval by which the concentration difference dropped to one half of the initial value was prolonged. Without red pepper the half concentration time was 13.30 minutes, and by adding extract of red pepper, 15.31 minutes and 15.71 minutes were revealed. 2. The profile of the diminishing rate of tile amount of urea was quite different from that of the concentration because of the change in the volume of the loop during the observed period. 3. By adding the extract of red pepper, it slowed down the rate of absorption of urea in the intestinal loop, suggesting an increase in the diffusional barrier. 4. Larger dosage of red pepper brought an increase in the secretion of intestinal fluid with concomitant expansion of the luminal volume, and the retardation of the absorption of urea was noticed. This effect was largely dependent on the sensitivity of the individual animal to the red pepper, extract. The amount of urea remained after 10 minutes interval was 55.5% of the initial amount in the experiment without red pepper. On the other hand it was not consistent after administration of red pepper, showing 50.6% and 66.5% of the initial figures by adding 400 mg and 800 mg of red pepper in the test solution, respectively. It was postulated that symptom of diarrhea often encountered by taking a hot (red pepper) food might be attributable to the increase of secretion and the retardation of absorption in the intestinal tract.

냉동 수산물의 저장 온도 관리를 위한 Time-temperature Indicator와 비전 기반 Indicator 분석 프로그램 개발 (A Time-temperature Indicator for A Vision Based-Detection System for Managing the Storage Temperature of Frozen Fish Products)

  • We develop a time-temperature indicator (TTI) that can determine whether thawing of fish and other fishery products has occurred during frozen storage. A polypropylene tube with an internal diameter of 3 mm was prepared and cut to a length of 14 to 20 mm. One end of the tube was thermally sealed and 0.1% acetic acid was injected into the other end; the tube was then frozen at $20^{\circ}C$. Then the open side of the frozen tube was blocked by sinking the tube into a 10% gelatin solution. The tube was attached to a polyvinyl packaging bag along blue litmus paper and the bag was put into a freezer at $-20^{\circ}C$. After freezing, the bag was removed to an ambient temperature of $20^{\circ}C$, and the time dependence of the color change of the litmus paper was observed. The color changed from blue to red, with the length of the red region increasing with time. Our TTI can be used as a part of a visible detection system and the detection program can conduct the elapsed time analysis on the length of the red region of the litmus paper indicating the degree of thawing. Thus, the TTI is a useful tool in the temperature management of frozen fish and fishery products.

은퇴 노인의 부부관계 만족도와 삶 만족도의 관계에 대한 종단적 비교 (The associations between marital satisfaction and life satisfaction among retirees in later life: a longitudinal comparison)

  • Objectives: The aims of this study are to examine the associations between marital satisfaction and life satisfaction among Korean retirees in later life and to test whether the degrees of associations increased over time. Method: Nationally representative Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing data from wave 1 (in 2006) to wave 4 (in 2012) was utilized and retirees in later life (65-89 years old, N=402) were analyzed. Latent growth modeling (LGM) and model constraint were applied using Mplus 7.3. Age, sex, household income, subjective health, depressive symptoms and elapsed time after retirement were included as control variables. Results: Linear unconditional LGM fitted the data well and showed gradual decrease in life satisfaction. Conditional LGM revealed significant associations between marital satisfaction and life satisfaction from time 1 to time 4. According to model constraint test, the size of associations between marital satisfaction and life satisfaction did not change with time. Conclusions: To sum up these results, the associations between marital satisfaction and life satisfaction were significant and relatively stable over time among retirees in later life. This study suggests one's spouse is a fundamental component of social convoy among Korean retirees in later life. Therefore, intervention programs targeted toward enhancing marital relationships among retirees' couples will help them to live a better life.
