방류수질 예측을 위한 AI 모델 적용 및 평가 (Application and evaluation for effluent water quality prediction using artificial intelligence model)

  • Occurrence of process environment changes, such as influent load variances and process condition changes, can reduce treatment efficiency, increasing effluent water quality. In order to prevent exceeding effluent standards, it is necessary to manage effluent water quality based on process operation data including influent and process condition before exceeding occur. Accordingly, the development of the effluent water quality prediction system and the application of technology to wastewater treatment processes are getting attention. Therefore, in this study, through the multi-channel measuring instruments in the bio-reactor and smart multi-item water quality sensors (location in bio-reactor influent/effluent) were installed in The Seonam water recycling center #2 treatment plant series 3, it was collected water quality data centering around COD, T-N. Using the collected data, the artificial intelligence-based effluent quality prediction model was developed, and relative errors were compared with effluent TMS measurement data. Through relative error comparison, the applicability of the artificial intelligence-based effluent water quality prediction model in wastewater treatment process was reviewed.

유출수 반송이 UASB 반응조 운전효율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of effluent recycling on the operating performance of UASB reactor)

  • This study was aimed to evaluate the effects of effluent recycling on the UASB reactor performances at the various organic loading rates and influent substrate concentrations. The organic removal efficiency of the reactors operated with effluent recycle were above 85%. However, the efficiencies of the reactors operated without the recycle were below 40% even though the effort to increase the efficiencies was made by changing the influent substrate concentrations and the organic loading rates, and introducing the effluent recycle at the final stage of the experiment. It was realized that the certain amount of effluent recycling from the start-up stage in UASB reactors seemed to be necessary to provide the effective contact chances between the substrate and granular sludge for better performances of the UASB process.

유용미생물을 이용한 육상수조식 양식장 배출물의 재활용 (Recycling Marine Fish Farm Effluent by Microorganisms)

  • 본 연구에서는 광합성세균 또는 젖산균 등과 같은 유용 미생물에 의한 육상수조식 양식장 배출물의 재활용이 가능한지 평가하였다. 제주에 있는 육상수조식 양식장의 배출물을 조사 분석한 결과 배출물은 회분, 수분과 더불어 단백질, 지방으로 구성되어 있었다. 따라서 배출물이 광합성세균 또는 젖산균의 생장에 대한 기질로서 이용 가능한지를 평가하였다. 배출물은 광합성세균 생장의 기질로서 이용할 수 있었으며, 젖산균의 경우에는 당분을 첨가하면 기질로서 이용할 수 있었다. 본 결과는 육상수조식 양식장에서 배출되는 배출물이 유용미생물에 의하여 효과적으로 재활용될 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다.

공기부상반응조에서 체류시간과 반송율에 의한 유기물질 및 질소제거 향상에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Organics and Nitrogen Removal by HRT and Recycling Rate in Air Lift Reactors)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the air lift reactors (ALR) by variations of HRT and recycling rate. Air lift reactor was composed of bioreactor and clarifier above it. To remove organic matters and nitrogen through the formation of microbic film and filtration, bio-filter reactors were filled with clay, glass, bead, waste plastic, respectively. Influent wastewater was fed to biofilter reactor, and effluent wastewater from bio-filter reactor was injected ALR again, instead of adding external carbon source. Effluent BOD concentration was satisfied with lower than 10 mg/L in recycling rate 100% regardless of the variation of HRT and the kinds of media materials. In HRT 4 hr, recycling rate 100%, BOD removal efficiency rate was from about 85 to 90%, COD removal efficiency rate was higher than 90%. Effluent TN concentration was satisfied with less than 20 mg/L, if HRT was maintained by over than 6 hr regardless of recycling rate and media materials. Over than HRT was 4 hr, microbes concentration in air lift reactor was maintained over than 2,500 mg/L constantly, not sensitive to environmental condition, and organic removal was effective as it was higher.

Recycling of rayon industry effluent for the recovery and separation of Zn/Ca using Thiophosphinic extractant

  • In textile industries, waste effluent containing zinc is generated during the manufacture of rayon yarn from the wood pulp or cotton linters. Due to the strict environmental regulations and the presence of toxic metallic and other constituents, the discharge of industrial effluents in the sewage or disposal of solid sludge as landfill is restricted. Before recycling of zinc as zinc sulphate solution to the spinning-bath of the rayon manufacturing plant the zinc sulphate solution must be free from calcium, which is deleterious to the process as gypsum precipitates with the increase in concentration and forms scale in the bath. In the present work an attempt has been made to develop a process following solvent extraction technique using thiophosphinic extractants, Cyanex 272 and 302 modified with isodecanol and diluted in kerosene to recover zinc from rayon effluent. Various process parameters viz. extraction of zinc from different concentration of solution, distribution ratio, selective extraction, O/A ratio on extraction and stripping from the loaded organic, complex formation in the organic phase etc. have been studied to see the feasibility of the process. The extractant Cyanex 302 has been found selective for the recovery of 99.99% of zinc from the effluent above equilibrium pH 3.4 maintaining the O/A ratio of 1/30 leaving all the calcium in the raffinate. It selectively extracted zinc in the form of complex $[R_{2}Zn.3RH]_{org}$ and retained all the calcium in the aqueous raffinate. The zinc from the loaded Cyanex 302 can be stripped with 10% sulphuric acid at even O/A ratio of 10 without affecting the stripping efficiency. The stripped solution thus obtained could be recycled in the spinning bath of the rayon plant. The raffinate obtained after the recovery of zinc could be disposed safely without affacting environment.

간헐적인 유출수 반송이 UASB 반응조 운전효율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of intermittent effluent recycling on the performance of UASB process)

  • Effluent recycling effect on UASB reactor performances is known as an important operational factor. In the present study, the possibility of intermittent recycle in UASB process for saving the power consumption was examined at different organic loading and various operational modes in recycle time period. The organic removal efficiencies of the reactors operated with the intermittent effluent recycle were considerably higher compared to those without the effluent recycle. In the intermittent recycle mode, the organic removal efficiencies slightly decreased as the non-recycle time period in the operational mode increased. Proper ratio of recycle and non-recycle time period in the mode seemed to be required to prevent the produced biogas from accumulation in the sludge bed, which caused dead zone in the reactor and sludge loss when the gas was escaped from the bed at the certain pressure.

슬러지탄화공정수 연계처리가 하수처리효율에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Effluent from a Sludge Carbonization Facility on Wastewater Treatability)

  • 유입하수와 기존 연계처리수(축산폐수, 분뇨, 음폐수 등)에 더하여 슬러지탄화시설에서 발생되는 유출수가 추가로 유입되며 질소성분의 처리에 어려움을 겪고 있는 하수처리시설을 대상으로 연계처리가 처리효율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 하수처리시설에 유입되는 연계처리수의 부하량(kg/d)을 산출한 결과, BOD 및 COD의 경우 음폐수와 축산폐수가 차지하는 비중이 상대적으로 크게 나타났고, T-N과 $NH_3-N$은 탄화공정수가 차지하는 비중이 가장 큰 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 탄화공정수가 방류수질에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 탄화공정수 유입 유무에 따른 공정별 처리효율을 분석결과, 호기조에서 $NH_3-N$의 질산화율이 탄화공정수가 유입되지 않는 경우 89%이었으나 탄화공정수가 유입되는 경우 55%로 낮아져 탄화공정수 유입시 질산화효율이 현저히 떨어지는 것을 확인하였다. 탄화공정수 유입으로 인한 질소 및 암모니아 부하량 증가 및 이로 인한 제거율 악화를 해결하기 위해서는 탄하공정수의 전처리를 통해 질소성분의 부하를 낮추어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

연탄재를 이용한 슬러지 저감 하수처리 연구 (Efficient Sewage Treatment with Less sludge Production by Used Briquets)

  • 본 연구에서는 버려지는 연탄재를 하수처리에 이용하여 그 처리효율 및 활용성 등을 조사하였다. 본 연탄재 공법에 의해 처리된 처리수의 $BOD_5$, CODcr, SS 등은 각각 1.1 (mg/L), 9.5 (mg/L), 3.8(mg/L)를 나타내며 원수와 비교하여 99%, 92.7%, 96.3%의 처리효율을 보여주었다. 본 연탄재공법에 의한 처리수의 총 세균 및 대장균에 대한 제거효율은 각각 평균 9 (cfu/ml) 및 1.2 (cfu/ml)로 나타나 기존의 하수처리장 방류수와 비교하여 괄목할만한 감소효과를 보여주었다. 한편, 1년 이상의 장기적 운전실험에서는 변함없는 높은 처리효율의 유지와 함께 계절별 처리효율의 변동폭이 매우 낮았으며, 슬러지발생이 차단되는 효과를 보여주었다. 본 연탄재공법은 연탄재를 재활용함은 물론, 높은 처리효율과 슬러지의 발생을 감소시킴으로써 환경친화적인 공법이라 할 수 있으며, 중소규모의 하수처리 및 처리수의 재활용에 매우 유용할 것으로 사료되는 바이다.

The Characteristics with HRT Variation on InSub Pilot Plant for Advanced Sewage Treatment

  • The InSub system(applied for a patent) was developed, as it combined the indirectly aerated submerged biofiltration(InSub) reactor and Anaerobic/ Anoxic reactor. This system which can eliminate organism and nutrient materials at the same time, which is safe and economical to be maintained and managed is more simple process than the complicated existing biological advanced sewage treatment system. The most suitable HRT of this study showed 9 hours. As looking into the effluent concentration and removal efficiency of each item at 9 hours of HRT, each effluent concentration for $SS,\;BOD5,\;COD_{Mn},\;and\;COD_{Cr}$ was 1.46 mg/L, 7,09 mg/L, 9.84 mg/L and 16.42 mg/L. And their removal efficiency was 96.98%. 90.59%, 77.18% and 83.92%, respectively. Each effluent concentration of T-N and T-P was 10.42 mg/L and 1.04 mg/L. Their removal efficiency was 73.38% and 61.62%, respectively. This pilot plant experiment(the state was without the internal recycling.) followed a variety of HRT. The results confirmed that it was to be advanced sewage treatment system with high efficiency when it combined with the internal recycling.

EMMC공정을 이용한 수산물 가공공장 폐수처리에서 동력학적 인자 평가와 유출수반송의 영향 (Evaluation of Kinetic Constant and Effect of Effluent Recycling in Wastewater Treatment from Fisheries Processing Plant using EMMC Process)

  • 수산물 가공공장 폐수의 생물학적 처리를 위하여 미생물 능동포획방식의 일종인 EMMC(Entrapped Mixed Microbial Cell)공정을 적용하여 유기물 및 질소제거에 대한 동력학적 인자를 산출하였으며 전체 시스템 운전효율에 유출수 재순환이 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 동력학적 인자 중 유기물의 세포 전환계수 Y의 경우 일반적인 활성슬러지 공정에서 보고된 Y값에 비하여 상당히 낮은 값을 나타내어 활성 슬러지 공정에 비해 슬러지 생성량을 상당히 줄일 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 내생호흡 계수 $k_e$값 역시 일반적인 활성슬러지법에 있어서의 값과 비교할 때 상당히 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 질산화 미생물의 미생물 전환계수 Y 및 내생호흡계수 $k_e$, 반포화상수 $k_s$ 값을 일반적인 부유성장형 질산화 반응조에서 구한 값들과 비교하였다. Y값은 본 연구에서 구한 값과 유사하였으며 내생호흡 계수는 낮았으며 반포화 상수의 경우는 본 연구에서의 값이 훨씬 높은 값을 나타내었다. 이를 통하여 질산화 박테리아에 있어서도 포괄 고정화 공법이 일반적인 부유성장 반응조에 비하여 기질 친화도가 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 내부 재순환이 전체 반응조 운전효율에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 내부 순환율을 1.5Q, 2.0Q, 2.5Q, 3.0Q로 변화시켜가며 운전한 결과 내부 순환을 증가는 질산화보다는 탈질화 효율의 증가에 더 큰 영향을 미치며 내부 순환율의 최적화는 anoxic조의 운전효율 증대에 초점을 맞추어야 하는 것으로 나타났다.
