The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiencies of project management offices in large information system construction projects using the data envelopment analysis. In addition, we tried to estimate the confidence interval of those efficiencies using bootstrap DEA to give a statistical meaning. The efficiency by the CCR model is analyzed as eight project management offices are fully efficient and 22 project management offices are inefficient. On the other hand, there are 15 project management offices are fully efficient, but 15 project management offices are inefficient in the BCC model. As the result of the scale efficiencies, of the inefficient project management offices, 13 project management offices are inefficient in scale. It is possible to eliminate the inefficiency in the CCR model by improving their project performances. And, the nine project management offices showed that the inefficiency was due to pure technical efficiency, and these companies should look for various improvements such as improvement of project execution system and project management process. In order that the inefficient project management offices be efficient, it is analyzed that more efforts must be made for on-budget and on-time as a result of examining the potential improvement potentials of inefficient project management offices.

In these days, the technical advances and complexities have generated much of the difficulties in managing the project resources, both time and costing to accomplish the project in the most efficient manner. The project manager is frequently required to render judgements concerning the schedule and resource adjustments. This research develops an analytical model for a schedule-cost and risk analysis based on visual PERT/CPM. We used a two-step approaches ：in the step 1, a deterministic PERT/CPM model for the critical path and estimating the project time schedule and related resource planning, In the second step, we developed a heuristic model for crash and stretch out analysis based upon a time-cost trade-off associated with the crash and stretch out of the project. Computer implementation of this model is provided based on GUI-Type objective-oriented programming for the users and provided displays of all the inputs and outputs in the form of visual graphical. Also developed GUI-type program, Dongeui Visual-PERT/CPM. The results of this research will provide the project managers with an efficient management tool.

최근 건설 환경의 급변화로 인해 건설 프로젝트의 실패 가능성이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 이유로 건설 산업에서는 합리적인 프로젝트 관리전략을 수립하기 위하여 프로젝트의 성과에 영향을 미치는 성공요인에 대한 다각적인 연구가 제시되고 있다. 하지만 프로젝트 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 개선 여부에 따른 혼재로 합리적인 성과관리가 힘든 상황이며, 특히 개선 불가능한 요인인 프로젝트 특성은 성과에 영향을 미치는 독립변수로 성과 도출의 난이도를 결정하게 됨에도 불구하고 이에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 성과지표와 특성지표체계를 이용하여 성과와 특성간의 영향관계를 밝혀내고 그 결과를 퍼지이론으로 정량화하여 성과 난이도 지수를 산정하며 특성간의 중요도를 고려하여 최종적으로 성과 난이도를 예측하는 연구과정을 수행하였다. 또한 성과 난이도 예측에 있어서 시간과 노력을 절감하여 효율적인 프로젝트 관리 전략을 수립하기 위해서 시공자가 서로 다른 프로젝트의 특성을 입력함에 따라 프로젝트의 각 성과영역에 어떠한 난이도를 갖는지 미리 예측하고 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 프로젝트 성과 난이도 예측 시스템을 개발하였다.

Yongsan river 4th agricultural comprehensive development project is being developed in order to strengthen the competitiveness in the southwest sea-side district, to construct the area for the special product and so on. Different from other development project, this project is to use water from its watershed by means of using regulating reservoirs, small reservoirs and farm ponds. but the number or regulating reservoirs, small reservoirs and farm ponds involved in this project are 7, 147 and 13 respectively. So it is necessary to develope the irrigation water management system for the purpose of efficient water use in Yougsan river fourth district. In this study, the irrigation water management system was developed and by using this system. efficient water using plans could be established.

Systematic and efficient Management of Development requirements will lead to success of project such as aircraft system development consisting of complex subsystem. For such reason, Requirements management tools have been used in most of project. In the case of FA-50 development project, requirements management tools have been used for systematic and efficient management of FA-50 Requirements. Especially FA-50 system was designed on the basis of the TA-50 configuration. Therefore, it needs traceability of requirements about functions, which have been already developed and will be newly developed. This paper was described about the implementation method of FA-50 development requirements traceability management.

Purpose This study is based on previous studies related to the function and operating system of the project management system for efficient project management. The purpose of the study is, first, to find out how the project performance is affected by the utilization of the project management system and the involvement of the PMO. Second, the mediating effect of implementing integrated management between the project management system and project performance is to be demonstrated. Design/methodology/approach Based on previous studies related to project management, this study designed a research model by integrating functional factors derived from project management system design studies, integrated management factors, and factors derived from PMO function studies. Findings As a result of the empirical analysis, this study first confirmed that high utilization of the project management system and high involvement of the PMO are factors that affect project performance. In addition, it was confirmed that the establishment of the system and the introduction of PMO do not guarantee project performance. Second, it was confirmed that the execution of integrated management has a mediating effect between the system and the project performance, and that the high utilization of the system has a positive effect on the mediating effect.

The problems like exceeding estimated cost, late due-date, expensive maintenance, insuffiency of experts and low productivity are becoming emphasized related with the software development. In order to overcome these problems and to develop the highly qualified software within the limited resources, a project management tool is used. The purpose of this study is to develop a conceptual model of the project management system which can plan, analyze and control the software development projects effectively. The model is constructed with plan and track management system, cost management system and operation management system for the efficient project management. It is named by LSD-PMS : Large-scale Software Development Project Management System. We reviewed 5 cases of project management. LSD-PMS is evaluated and reviewed by the project managers in the field. It is proved that LSD-PMS is a tool which can help project managers develop software successfully given budget and time schedule. In the future, this system should be further developed as an integrated model with system implementation tools such as CASE products.

Due to the development of modern technology and the enlargement of industrial scale, the scale of many projects is expanding and the complexity is also increasing. Individual management of existing projects cannot effectively manage projects in this trend, and it is necessary to systematically manage the entire process from initiation to completion. Accordingly, the need for integrated management and life cycle management that can efficiently manage the entire project is emerging, and for this, a systematic project management system is also required. PMS enables efficient project management by linking business processes such as resource, schedule, scope, and output management of a project with separately separated infrastructure accordingly. In this paper, a research model was proposed to manage the project from the perspective of implementing integrated management and life cycle management, especially during R&D project execution, and to prove the mediating role between PMS and R&D project performance for this purpose. The proposed research model will be able to help companies and organizations that feel the need to implement integrated management and life cycle management and are preparing to build a PMS-type system or that have already been established to efficiently perform project management.

Large-scale construction projects require various license and technologies for the manufacturing and handling processes. Also, the whole life cycle business process management determines the success of the project. Then, the efficiency of the business conducted by stakeholders and their possessed technology should be enhanced in order to strengthen their competitive power. For this reason, many experts pointed out to focus on the improvement of the life cycle process and efficient management. Since it is very important to keep up-to-date data and utilize it for work during the long-term project to reflect changes in the large-scale project, the most important part of the project management in project is information change management. Therefore, the objective of this study is applying configuration management(CM) technique in order to managing change data generated for planning in early phase. The result of this research will certainly assist the large-scale project managers in the development of information change management system.

Project Managers want to reduce the cost and the completion time of the project simultaneously. But the project completion time tends to increase as the project cost is reduced, and the project cost has a tendency to increase as the project completion time is reduced. In this paper, the resource constrained project scheduling problem with multiple crashable modes is considered. An exact solution method for finding the efficient solution set and the computational results are introduced.
