당뇨병 노인을 대상으로 한 영양교육의 효과 평가 (Evaluation of Nutrition Education for Diabetes Mellitus Management of Older Adults)

  • Diabetes mellitus is the prevalent disease among older adults. The purpose of this study was to implement and evaluate the nutrition education program for diabetes mellitus patients aged 60 and over. The one group pretest and posttest design was employed to evaluate the program effectiveness. Nutrition education program for diabetes mellitus patients was carried out at the public healthy center in Guri city. The 38 out of 63 patients completed education program. They received four sessions of group education during four weeks. Nutrition education materials (booklet, leaflet) for older adults were provided to participants. Data about blood glucose, blood pressure, nutrition and diabetes mellitus knowledge, dietary behavior, dietary intake by 24-hour recalls were collected before and after nutrition education to evaluate the program effectiveness. All data were statistically analyzed using SAS package (ver.8.2) and significant difference was evaluated by $X^2$-test, paired t-test and Wilcoxon signed rank test. Study results showed that blood pressure and blood glucose were slightly decreased after nutrition education but they did not reach statistical significance. There were positive changes in nutrition knowledge and dietary behavior. The total score of nutrition and diabetes knowledge increased significantly (p < 0.001), and the total score of dietary behavior was improved (p < 0.05) after nutrition education. Dietary intakes of most of nutrients examined were not significantly different between pre- and post-test. Based on study results, it appears that nutrition education program for the aged diabetes mellitus patients might effectively increase nutrition knowledge, dietary behavior and diet quality. This nutrition education program can be used at the public health centers or senior centers for the management of diabetes mellitus for older adults.

  • 본 연구에서는 국가 교육과정을 기반으로 SW교육을 이해하고, 적용하는 역량을 함양하기 위한 초등 SW교육 핵심교원 연수 프로그램을 개발하고, 실제 전국 단위 직무연수 현장에 적용하여 그 효과성을 분석하였다. 연수 프로그램 개발을 위해 개발 방향 설정, 파일럿 연수 진행, 연수 최종안 적용 및 추가보완의 과정을 거쳤으며, 개발된 연수 프로그램을 교육부 주관 2019년 동계 및 하계 직무연수에 적용 하였다. 연수 프로그램의 효과성 분석을 위해 SW교육 교수효능감, 만족도 조사 등을 실시하였으며, 분석 결과 개발된 연수 프로그램의 긍정적인 효과성을 확인할 수 있었다.

외상 응급처치 교육 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 -영유아 및 학령전 아동의 어머니를 대상으로- (Development of A First-aid Education Program and Its Effectiveness -A Care of Mothers of infant, toddler and preschool children-)

  • The researcher has studied the types of accidents and injuries that most often occur to infants, toddlers and preschool children. Using this knowledge, a first aid program was developed for mothers. This researcher used a Quasi experimental study which consisted of a nonequivalent control group pretest - posttest design for injury first-aid knowle. The experimental group consisted of 32 mothers, and the control group consisted of 29. The education program consisted of the types of injury, the structure and function of skin, the methods of obsevation, first-aid awareness, and the standard of professional support in case of contusion, abrasion, laceration, fracture and burn. The education program was developed and based on 'the systemetic design of instruction' by Dick & Carey(1996) and utilized multimedia text book, pictures, examples, practice and discussions to increase understanding and effectiveness of learning. The data for this study was collected from September to early November, 2001. There were two fomative evauations, pretest and posttest with an intervention of education program. The analysis of the collected data was analyzed by descriptive analysis, ANOVA, t-test and paired t-test using the SPSS 10.0 program. The results as follows; 1. The experimental group, who was given an education program before the test, got higher marks on the injury first-aid knowledge than the control group. There was a significant difference in knowledge between experimental group and control group(t=6.578, p=.000). 2. The experimental group got higher marks on the action evaluation than the control group. There were significant differences in the certainity of action (t=8.546, p=.000) and the accuracy of action (t=7.654, p=.000) between experimental group and control group. This study examined how a first aid education program increased effectiveness in the knowledge and action of injury first-aid.

인공지능 리터러시 신장을 위한 인공지능 사고 기반 교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effectiveness of an AI Thinking-based Education Program for Enhancing AI Literacy)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the Artificial Intelligence thinking-based education program for improving AI literacy and verify its effectiveness for beginner. This program consists of 17 sessions, was designed according to the "ABCDE" model and is a project-based program. This program was conducted on 51 first-year middle school students and 36 respondents excluding missing values were analyzed in R language. The effect of this program on ethics, understanding, social competency, execution plan, data literacy, and problem solving of AI literacy is statistically significant and has very large practical significance. According to the result of this study, this program provided learners experiencing Artificial Intelligence education for the first time with Artificial Intelligence concepts and principles, collection and analysis of information, and problem-solving processes through application in real life, and served as an opportunity to enhance AI literacy. In addition, education program to enhance AI literacy should be designed based on AI thinking.

청소년을 위한 건강가정 교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of Healthy Family Education Program for Middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and test the effectiveness of a healthy family education program for adolescents. Based on the literature review and an assessment of middle school students' and their parents' needs for the healthy family education, a healthy family education program was developed with four main parts: 'Forming a Happy Family', 'Developing Friendship with (Other Sex) Friends', 'Traveling into the World of Consumption', and 'Healthy Body, Healthy Minds.', In order to test the effectiveness of the program, 35 students from a middle school in Seoul were treated with the education program. The treatment group was compared to a control group before and after the treatment in terms of their attitude toward and knowledge in family healthiness. As a result, the developed program was found to have a positive effect on enhancing the attitude and knowledge of middle school students related to family healthiness.

취약계층 아동 대상 식생활 교육의 효과성 평가 (Assessment of Dietary Education Program for Children from Low-Income Families in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a dietary education program, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the education program for children from low-income families. A total of 242 children (122 education groups and 120 control groups) were run six times a dietary education program from April to December 2018, and a questionnaire was administered before and after the education to evaluate effectiveness. Elementary school students were the most prevalent in the education and the control group. In the education group, the body height and weigh were 137.27 cm and 33.69 kg, respectively, and in the control group the body height and weight were 143.48 cm and 40.64 kg, respectively. The education group showed positive change in dietary self-efficacy and dietary knowledge compared to the control group. In particular, 'I can have meals regularly' (Education Group: 4.00 points from 3.71 points) and 'I can choose fruits instead of cookies candies as snacks (Education Group: 4.01 points from 3.70 points) The score increased after participation in the program. In the change of nutritional and hygiene knowledge of children, the education group scored 3.63 of 10 points before education, but the score significantly increased to 5.70 points after education(p<0.001).

영유아 부모의 아동안전 응급처치 교육프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Implementation of Children Life Safety Support Education Program for Parent)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and implement the educational program of Life Safety Support for parent. Methods: This study was used to develop children life safety support education program. The education program was utilized as multimedia, practice and discussions to increase understanding and effectiveness of learning. The data for this study was collected from June to December, 2010. 또래 괴롭힘 피해아의 특성에 기초한 중재 프로그램의 개발 : 부모교육 프로그램과 사회적 기술 훈련 프로그램을 중심으로 (The Development of Intervention Programs Based on Characteristics of Children Victimized by Peers:Focus on Parent Education and Social Skills Training Programs)

  • Based on characteristics of victims, the parent education program focused on building a new concept of personal respect toward their children and on changing overprotective and coercive parenting styles into democratic parenting. The social skills training program focused on building self-acceptance, self-esteem and interpersonal capabilities in victimized children. Three groups, each composed of 6 victims and their mothers, were compared to examine the effectiveness of the programs. Children in experimental group I showed marked increase in self-esteem. They also reported that their mothers' overprotective parenting decreased after participation in the parent education program, indicating the effectiveness of the intervention program.

HACCP 적용 학교 급식소의 조리종사자 대상 위생교육 프로그램 개발 (Developing Food Safety Education Program for Employees at School Foodservice Implementing HACCP)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to develop a food safety education program for school foodservice employees and evaluate its effectiveness. Methods: Food safety education programs were made into two levels; one for new employees in school foodservice and another for employees in charge of Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring. The programs were for 40-minute-long lecture using PowerPoint. The effectiveness of these programs were assessed based on eleven evaluation items by school foodservice dieticians (n=30) and the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) specialist (n=13). All statistical analyses are conducted by SPSS package program (ver 20.0). Results: According to the results of evaluating the food safety education program by dietitian and HACCP specialist, the overall satisfaction score was 4.14, evaluated by 5 point scale. There were no significant difference in results of evaluation between dieticians and HACCP specialists. The score of 'it is helpful to work' and 'pictures, images and charts are pertinent to study' were higher than others while the score of 'education contents is pleasant and interesting' and 'screen is pleasant and interesting' were the lowest among all evaluation items. Conclusions: To increase the school foodservice quality, employees should be offered regular food safety education and training through effective education media including prerequisite program and HACCP manual for school foodservice.

성교육 프로그램이 여대생의 성지식과 성적 자율성에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Sexual Education Program on Female College Student's Sexual Knowledge and Sexual Autonomy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the sexual education program on female college students' sexual knowledge and sexual autonomy. Methods: The integrative 5-week (15 hour) sexual education program reflecting control and coping aspects of sexual autonomy was developed based on self-determination theory. 59 female students were assigned to the experimental (n=29) and the control group (n=30). Students completed the sexual knowledge and the sexual autonomy questionnaires at prior to the program, right after and 10 weeks after the completion of the program. Independent t-test were used to test the effectiveness of the program. Results: Significant group differences were found on sexual autonomy score right after and 10 weeks after the completion of the program. No significant group differences were found on sexual knowledge at any time after the program completion. Conclusion: The results indicate that the 5-week Sexual Education Program was effective in increasing female college students' sexual autonomy. Nursing professors majoring women's health nursing may contribute to improving college students' sexual autonomy by opening the sexual education program as a general elective curriculum. Strategies to improve sexual knowledge need to be considered for better effectiveness of the program.
