The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of Dangkisoo-san(Dangguixu-san) and Gamihwalhyul-tang(Jiaweihuoxie-tang) herb-medication for the Traffic accident patient group with the effectiveness of common herb-medication for the general patient group by using 7-Zone-Diagnostic System. Two groups were selected from those who took the CP-6000A test in College of Oriental Medical Hospital of Sangji University from March 2007 to January 2008. Mean values of Factor AA on Skin Resistance Variability(SRV) of two groups were compared. The mean values of the deviation between measurement and 50 in pre-examination was higher than those of post-examination. Especially, there were remarkable difference between the mean values of the deviation between measurement and 50 in pre-examination and those of post-examination within the general patient group. When we compare pre-examination with post-examination in each area, 2 areas have remarkable difference within the general patient group. The mean values of positive deviation in pre-examination was higher than those of post-examination within both group. Especially, the TA patient group was remarkable. The other side the mean values of negative deviation in pre-xamination was remarkably higher than those of post-examination within the general patient group. By contraries the mean values of negative deviation in pre-examination was lower than those of post-examination within the TA patient group. These results suggest that Dangkisoo-san(Dangguixu-san) and Gamihwalhyul-tang(Jiaweihuoxie-tang) herb-medication will be less effective for chronic and weak traffic accident patients.
Objectives: Recent studies have shown that tailored messages for cancer screening to the beliefs and stage of cancer screening behavior of individual women increases the take-up probability. Many studies on cancer screening have used the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) to identify variables associated with cancer screening behavior. This study was carried out to identify the cognitive-behavioral factors associated with stomach cancer screening among women aged 40 years and over, and to develop and evaluate a tailored educational program for stomach cancer screening by stages of change. Methods: Building on the TTM constructs, we conducted a quasi-experimental study(N=283) to test the effectiveness of a tailored educational program for endoscopic stomach cancer screening. We carried out pre and post tests in the experimental group(N=162) and the control group(N=121), and the experimental group was subdivided into an on-line group(N=81) and an off-line group(N=81) by educational methodology using e-mail and the postal service. We used the chi-square test, trend test, and paired t-test to test the effectiveness of the program for stomach cancer using a tailored stage-matched messages. Results: To examine the effectiveness of the program for stomach cancer screening by the tailored stage-matched messages, the stage-matched materials were offered to the experimental group(N=162) four times for 4 weeks. The stage-matched materials consisted of the four types for stomach cancer. The tailored message was effective in changing the cognitive-behavioral factors, such as experience process, behavior process, con opinion for stomach cancer, self-efficacy, and the behavioral stages for stomach cancer screening. The stomach cancer screening adherence was higher for the stage-matched materials using postal mail than for those using e-mail. Conclusion: To improve the stomach cancer screening rate, the use of tailored messages for stomach cancer screening will be generated using an expert system. Therefore the implementation of tailored educational program will be supported a partnership between public and private health organizations and increasing awareness of the necessity of community-based interventions.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching strategies for scientific conceptions in the units of oxygen and combustion in elementary school science textbook. 70 elementary school 6th grade students in Seoul participated. They were divided into experimental group and controlled group. Five scientific concepts were adopted from the units of oxygen and combustion in the 6th grade science textbook. Subjects' preconceptions were investigated by pre-questionnaires. A series of 6 instructional sessions based on the teaching strategy of cognitive confliction theory were given to the experimental group. By the end of the instructional session, a post-test was administered to both experimental and controlled groups. There was a statistically significant difference between post-test gains of the experimental and controlled groups. These results support the notion that the teaching strategy was effective for changing from preconceptions to scientific concerts.

The purpose of this research was to determine whether or not a education program of low back pain would have benificial effect on nurses. Nonequivalent control group pre-post test research was designed. Subjects for this study were 50 selected from nurses who work at a general hospital in Taegu. Of them, twenty seven were assigned to experimental group, twenty-three to control group. The data were collected during the period from June 27 to August 31, 1994. The instruments used in this study were Visual Analog Scale for low back pain, Sit-and-reach test for trunk flexibility, and 1 min sit up test for abdominal muscle endurance. Data related to general chracteristics and factors of low back pain were collected with questionnaire developed by this reseacher. The data were analyzed by $X^2-test$, t-test and paired t-test, using the SAS package program. The results of this study are summerized as follows : 1. The numbers of the experimental group with low back pain were not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting($X^2=0.77$, p=.379), and the numbers of the control group with low back pain were also not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting($X^2=0.09$, p=.767). 2. The severity of low back pain of the experimental group was not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting(t=-0.55, p=.5857), and the severity of low back pain of the control group was also not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting(t=-0.70, p=.3101). 3. The trunk flexibility of the experimental group was not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting(t= 1.08, p=.2835), and the control group's trunk flexibility was also not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting(t=0.85, p=.4026). 4. The abdominal muscle endurance of the experimental group was a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting(t=-2.42, p=.0190), but the control group's abdominal muscle endurance was not a statistically significant difference from pre to posttesting(t=-0.06, p=.9556) This study suggest that replication of study with more sample and more rigid treatment should be needed. And furthermore, the longitudinal research is needed to determine the effectiveness of education program.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of the CPR training for non-healthcare providers by checking the performing ability of the subjects before and after the teaching class. Method: This study was a single primary experimental study designed with pre and post test. Study subjects were 37 office staffs who participated in all test from March, 10th, 2005 to April, 18th, 2005. The tools of this study were CPR performing evaluation sheet and CPR teaching computer program. Data analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, repeated ANOVA and Bonferroni with SPSS 12.0 program. Result: The CPR practice performing ability statistically significant increased by the step of test. The CPR practice performing ability of learning experience group had significantly high score than non experience group. The self-confidence about CPR practice when faced emergency situation was increased after practice training. Conclusion: One to one CPR practice teaching method using simulation by CPR teaching specialists was turned out to be very effective in improving the ability of CPR practice of non-healthcare providers in a tertiary hospital than self-study.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the CPR training for civilian by checking the performance ability of the subjects before and after the CPR education. Method: This study was a single primary experimental study designed with pre and post test. Study subjects were 55 apartment managers who participated in all test on December 5 and December 11, 2011. The tools of this study were CPR performing evaluation sheet and CPR teaching program(AHA). Data were analysed by descriptive statistics, t-test, repeated ANOVA and Bonferroni with SPSS 18.0 program. Result: The CPR practice performing ability was significantly increased by test. The CPR practice performing ability of the learning experience group had significantly higher score than that of non-experience group. The self-confidence on CPR practice when faced emergency situation was highly increased after practice training. Conclusion: Practical performance evaluation score has improved step by step. The primary and secondary practical evaluation showed a significant difference in all items and practice-oriented education was found to be effective in CPR training.
In this investigation of the effectiveness of the Project Approach Method the 32 4-to 5-year-old subjects (16 each in the experimental and comparative groups) were pre-tested before the Project Approach Method was applied (23 times over 7 weeks) in the experimental group while the comparative group had science activities using standard unit methods of instruction. Then, all the children had a posr-test. Data were analyzed by t-test and ANCOVA. Results showed differences between the experimental group and the comparative group in their scientific problem solving ability. Specifically, effects were found on 14 sub-factors, but no difference were found on 3 sub-factors.
The purpose of this study is, first, to develop a Therapy Competency Enhancement Program for Novice Play-therapists Using Traditional Play to enhance therapy Competency and second, to examine the program's effectiveness. The program consists of 10 sessions and each session employs a variety of traditional plays. The Therapeutic relationship Scale and Playfulness Scale were used as a pre-test and post-test respectively. The data were analyzed by the SPSS 18.0 program, which applied the Mann-Whiteney U test and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Twelve novice play therapists participated in ten sessions of the Therapy Competency Enhancement Program, and were compared with the control group of twelve novice play therapists who did not receive treatment. The treatment group statistically showed significant enhancement in therapeutic relationships, and playfulness in comparison to the control group. It was concluded that the Therapy Competency Enhancement Program for Novice Play-therapists Using Traditional Play was effective for enhancing therapeutic relationships and playfulness. This study has significance in its attempt to develop a Therapy Competency Enhancement program to improve the therapeutic relationship, and playfulness of novice play therapists by Traditional Play.

Falls are one of the most serious problem that threatens the health of the elderly. This study was conducted twice a week for six weeks from May to June 2014 to evaluate the effectiveness of fall prevention exercises for rural seniors. This study analyzed the effects by comparing before and after exercise on the TUG, FRT, BBS, ADL, fear of falls, fall efficacy, and depression. The results of this study was as follows: Hypothesis1, "a TUG of post-test will improve more than the pre-test", was supported. Hypothesis3, "BBS of the post-test would improve more than the pre-test" was supported. In addition, the FRT, ADL, fear of fall, fall efficacy, and depression of post-test would improve more than the pre-test. Accordingly this study showed that fall prevention exercises are effective in improving the physical function (TUG, FRT, BBS, and ADL) and emotional function (fear of fall, fall efficacy, and depression) in rural seniors.

This study aims to verify the effectiveness of the programming-based TPACK educational program developed by Kim and Lee (2019) in improving the TPACK of pre-service teachers. The treatment used ICT-based (control) and programming-based TPACK educational programs (first, second, third, and final cycle) developed through design-based research. TPACK test tools were implemented pre and post treatment, and the test results were analyzed using ANCOVA. Therefore, the TPACK of pre-service teachers who implemented the programming-based TPACK educational program was significantly higher compared to the ICT-based TPACK educational program. Furthermore, through this design-based research, the effect of the developed final educational program on the TPACK of pre-service teachers was particularly the most outstanding. Therefore, it can be concluded that the programming-based TPACK education program developed through design-based research is effective in improving the TPACK of pre-service teachers.
