This study was conducted to know the behavior of pH behavior in the tomato juices to find out an effective medium for microbial cultivation. Bacterial culture media is a material consist a mixture of nutrients used to grow microorganisms on or in it. In addition, microbial culture media can also be used for isolation, propagation, testing the nature physiological, and calculation of the number of microorganisms. Fresh tomato juice is used for basic ingredient, therein added salt, sugar and EM (Effective Microbial). The fermented solution placed in a room with a temperature of 40oC. Data retrieval before the pH value reached a constant value is done every 12 hours, after constant rate data collection was done every 24 hours. The pH value has been steady after 372 hours of fermentation process (15.5 days). From the results obtained that the amount of additional ingredient which added into tomato juice does not affect final pH value of solution. Thereby the most effective treatment for microbial cultivation media is treatment number four.

This paper aims to analyze fatigue fracture mechnisms with high strength aluminum alloys, which are widely used in vehicles or airplanes to prevent accidents. Usefulness of the crack opening point was proposed by using an effective stress intensity facor when evaluating the fatigue crack propagaion rate. Therefore an exact crack opening ratio can be measured for a more exact fatigue crack propagation rate. It is found that the fatigue crack propagation rate was valid within the range of experimentation as an effective stress intensity factor. Summarizing the results are as follows in this paper ; (1) It is found that the value of the crack opening ratio is constant at the rear of the specimen, U'=0.25 at the crack mouth and U'=0.45 at the crack tip, respectively regardless of the stress ratio. (2) The crack opening ratio is different according to measurement locations. The crack opening ratio value was measured at the crack mouth by a clip gage or measured behind the specimen by a strain gage. It is found that the crack opening ratio value is more accurate that any other measuring test for evaluating the crack propagation ratio test by effective stress intensity factor.

When teaching the linear regression analysis in the class, the power transformation must be introduced to fit the linear regression model for nonlinear data. Box and Cox (1964) proposed the attractive power transformation technique which is so called Box-Cox transformation. In this paper, an effective algorithm selecting an appropriate value for Box-Cox transformation is developed which is considered to find a value minimizing error sum of squares. When the proposed algorithm is used to find a value for transformation, the number of iterations needs to be considered. Thus, the number of iterations is examined through simulation study. Since SAS is one of most widely used packages and does not provide the procedure that performs iterative Box-Cox transformation, a SAS program automatically choosing the value for transformation is developed. Hence, the students could learn how the Box-Cox transformation works, moreover, researchers can use this for analysis of data.

The purpose of this article is to introduce a useful methodology of effective goal-setting for the team-level units. As a way to overcome some common symptoms in terms of Strategic Performance Evaluation System such as lack of knowledge on goal-setting, disconnection of process, problem of judging the degree of difficulty about objectives, limits of staff departments evaluation, fairness and authority of evaluators, weakness in coaching technique, and quantity or figure-oriented evaluation, to name a few, and to seek a more plausible goal-setting methodology, the author suggests a persuasive goal-setting concept: VAR(Value-Added Results). VAR, as the end-results, is the team contributions that add value to the organization, and it results from the team's activities. In addition to these goal-setting technique based on the concept of value-added results, several aspects should be improved for Strategic Performance Evaluation System to be implemented more effectively. They are: 1) shift from MBO to MP & D(Managing Performance & Development), 2) impartial exercise of evaluation authority as a organizational public assets, 3) reinforcement of maternal leadership and servantship instead of paternal leadership, 4) utilization of IT-based evaluation system.

In this work, linear and mass attenuation coefficients, effective atomic number and electron density, mean free paths, and half value layer and $10^{th}$ value layer values of barium-bismuth-borosilicate glasses were obtained for 662 keV, 1,173 keV, and 1,332 keV gamma ray energies using MCNP-4C code and XCOM program. Then obtained data were compared with available experimental data. The MCNP-4C code and XCOM program results were in good agreement with the experimental data. Barium-bismuth-borosilicate glasses have good gamma ray shielding properties from the shielding point of view.

In order to study the antioxidative action of the effectient garlic components, peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity were compared through the in vitro and in vivo experiments. RESULTS : 1. Observing the effects on peroxidase activity of efficient components in vitro, garlic oil, alliin and ethanol fraction showed effective, which was similar to the trend of TBA value, peroxide value and induction time for the first period of lipoperoxide formation in vitro. 2. In vivo experiment with peroxidase activity, the ethanol fraction and garlic oil were effective when intraperitoneally administered as well as orally administered. 3. Considering the superoxide disutase activity in vitro, the garlic oil, alliin and ethanol fraction were effective in efficient components. But non-kaolin fraction inhibited the activity on the contrary. 4. In terms of the efefcts on superoxide dismutase activity in vivo, alliin and garlic oil wee effective in intraperitoneal adminstraton and the ethanol fraction and alliin in oral administration.

This study investigates employees' online reviews, conducts in-depth text topic mining, effectively summarizes the dimensions of employer brand value, and seeks effective ways to build employer brands from a multi-dimensional perspective. This study employs samples of employer reviews, filter keywords according to word frequency-inverse document frequency, builds a review network containing the same keywords, explore the community and summarize the theme dimensions. Simultaneously, it makes a dynamic comparison and analysis of the employer brand value dimension of different industries and enterprises. The study shows that the community exploration theme can be summarized into 11 dimensions of employer brand value, and the dimensions of employer brand value are significantly different across industries and among different enterprises within the industry. The attention to the employer brand value dimension has a significant time change. Various industries pay increasing attention to the dimension of work intensity and career development, while employers pay steady attention to the dimension of welfare benefits. The findings of this study suggest that seeking the heterogeneity of employer brand resources from the multi-dimensional differences and changes is an effective way to improve the competitiveness of enterprises in the human capital market.

Decision Analysis(DA) using Value Focused Thinking(VFT) can be an excellent process to deal with hard decisions. The intent of this research is to provide better understanding of the United States Air Force(USAF) officer retention problem. This thesis effort involves building a VFT model to find out more effective alternatives in retaining pilots and non pilots. This model, in conjunction with the results of the post analysis, shows an example of the application of a VFT approach to the USAF officer retention problem.

Purpose - This study is an empirical study on the relationship of Thai consumers' attitude toward Korean Wave with the visit intention of Korean restaurants and a mediation effect of consumption value of Korean restaurants. Design/Methodology/Approach - Data were collected using a structured questionnaire of 245 Thai consumers and the hypotheses presented were verified by regression analysis and structural equation models. Findings - As a result of the empirical analysis, it was found that the higher the attractiveness and favorableness of Thai consumers for K-Wave, the higher the intention to visit Korean restaurants, and the Korean Wave attitude have a positive effect on the functional and symbolic values of Korean restaurants. In particular, the important result that can be presented in this study is that the better the attitude toward K-Wave, the higher the consumption value (functional/symbolic value) of Korean restaurants and the symbolic value plays a significant mediating effect on the relationship of the attitude of K-Wave and visiting intention, while the effect of functional value is not verified. Research Implication or Originality - These results means that in order to lead Thai consumers to a Korean restaurant using K-Wave, a strategy to make Thai ones perceive symbolic value of a Korean restaurant higher would be more effective. The main strategic implication of this study is that a high-end positioning strategy with a high symbolism, which make Korean restaurant as a suitable place as a means to show off one's value (or self) or as a means to show off one's social status (or role) to Thai consumers, will be relatively effective.
