For the purpose of integrating nursing diagnosis into the nursing curriculum, a descriptive survey research was done using the inductive method with questionnaires and a literature review. Research subjects included nurse educators, textbooks of adult nursing published in Korea, and the course outline for adult nursing used in one college of nursing. The Results show that there was common agreement on 39 nursing diagnosis which should be in cluded in the adult nursing curriculum, textbooks of adult nursing, and patient care on the medical-surgical units. The two existing nursing diagnosis classification systems(NANDA and Gordon's Human Response Patterns) show different basic frameworks and difficulties were discovered in integration of nursing diagnosis into the curriculum. To develop a conceptual framework for a nursing diagnosis classification system, diagnosis were classified into three categories ; health promotion, high risk problem, and actual problem on the basis of the framework used in adult nursing textbooks and Gordon's 11 Functional Health Patterns. Subconcepts for actual problems were classified as ; activity and rest, nutrition and elimination, perception and coordination, stress and coping. Progress in this study supports further development of a conceptual framework of nursing based on a nursing diagnosis classification system, from which improvement in nursing education and clinical practice can be expected.

The Response to Intervention(RTI) approaches is the method to help students who are at risk for learning difficulties in advance and provide an appropriate level of intervention. In this article, the characteristics of model RTI were reviewed for students with achievement of below basic proficiency level. We considered RTI as supporting system to document students' progress and its applicability for the general educational setting in Korean school. The tier of RTI make it possible the evidence based individual instruction and counseling, differentiated step-by step approach for students with achievement of below basic proficiency level. In conclusion, RTI can be used as educational tools for dealing with improvement of academic subjects learning, behavioral and emotional problem for students with achievement of below basic proficiency level. For building high quality implementing for RTI it is needed the collaboration of teachers, counselors and learning consultants and related educators.
How can the educator help learners to learn? The old way was to tell learners as much as possible, passing on the educator's knowledge. Now the educator acts as a helper. She will organise experiences which allow the learners to do health behaviors, she may utilize instructional materials, she may write downsome questions for a group of learners to discuss. In all these ways the teachers is helping learning. Some educators feel that they must do all the talking themselves. They feel that they are not really teaching the learners some new information, but this is quite wrong. In fact if a educatorgives a lecture and learners do not learn, then the educator is talking not teaching. So the devlopment of instructional materials is much needed to be a learner education. And the selection of materials may be very important for the level of maturity of the learners in interest, complexity of ideas, opportunity for self-identification, speed of learners' ability to observe and length of concentration. Author studied the several instructional materials which can be utilized in the field of dental health education and also studied their values, limitations and considerations when they are used. The learning activities are poster, puppet, model, mock-up, specimen, flannel board, chalk board, bulletin board, psychodrama, role play, field trip, exhibition, laboratory method.
This study explores the factors that affect the lottery purchasing intentions of university students. Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 504 students attending four universities in Kwangju South Korea. The conclusions are as follows: First, approximately 43% of respondents participated in at least one lottery purchase and the frequency of lottery purchases during the last 12 months was 4.84. Gender issues were considered since almost twice as many males reported lottery purchases. Second, males were affected by attitudes toward lotteries; females were affected by past behavior, subjective norms, and attitudes toward lotteries. It was hypothesized that the attitudinal message would change behavior for male students while the accurate information and the normative message would also be effective for female students. The fact that just about half of the respondents have previously participated in gambling vis-$\grave{a}$-vis lotteries shows consumer educators that lottery purchases by youth is a social policy issue in need of systematic and scientific attention.
This study investigated preservice teachers' perceived constraints in implementing their ideal pedagogies and the influence of the teacher education program on their pedagogical beliefs changes. Unique features that the university-based coursework and field experiences had on preservice teachers' learning to teach were also explored. This preservice teacher education program employs constructivist aspects of teacher education and generates applications of constructivism to the practice of teaching. Major findings include: preservice teachers' having traditional pedagogy as the default, recovery of prior beliefs, constraints on implementing constructivist pedagogy, and being overly confident in themselves as teachers. With the influence of constructivist epistemology, these preservice teachers' pedagogical beliefs evolved and were refined over time as they incorporated various constructivist ideas. The benefits and influences of the M.Ed. program's theoretical coursework and the field experiences on these teachers' learning-to-teach experiences are addressed with rich data. The implications for teacher educators as well as for the instructional practices of preservice teacher education programs are discussed. Recommendations for future research are also presented.

Science-Technology-Society curricula have been developed in several countries for the last 20 years. Those curricula were focused on social aspects of science, i.e., value-laden knowledge and scientific enterprise, and society-related scientific and technological issues, i.e., energy, pollution, natural resources. The major teaching models employed in those curricula were problem solving and decision making, which required the following teaching techniques: teacher as a manager, small group discussion, controversy as a motivational force for substantive learning, and sufficient factual information into the discussion. Further researches are to be made to ascertain whether or not the expectations of the curricula might be realized in practice. It was shown that most Korean biology teachers considered the STS-related goal of science education as more important than the other goals. Based upon the findings, some recommendations for development of Korean STS curriculum were made as follows: 1. The contents of the STS curricula are to be organized with the integrated mode; 2. The major teaching models throughout the contents are to be problem solving and decision making. These are considered to provide students with the opportunities to involve in debates on practical issues and to draw consensus from them; 3. Some degree of flexibility should be provided on teachers' implementation of the curriculum in terms of contents, teaching techniques etc.; 4. To increase the practicality of the curriculum, teachers should be involved in the development of the curriculum and the relevant research; and 5. Contents to be included in STS curriculum were suggested by some science educators, but the more systematic study is required in this respect.

With an emphasis on scientific literary, science education has again became closer to the interests and needs of people and sometimes expands its scope beyond the boundaries of school and the curriculum. Science educators often claim that its historical roots can be traced back to the movements of General Science and Science and Citizenship during the 1920s-40s. This study attempts to re-interpret the historical meanings of the Mechanics' Institute Movement (MIM) from the perspectives of science education. In doing so, this study first introduces the process of the emergence of MIM with a focus on its founder, George Birkbeck, and the Andersonian Institute where evening science classes began to be open to skilled workers. Then the overview of MIM is described, with examples drawn from the London Mechanics' Institute and the Manchester Mechanics' Institute. In discussing science teaching of MIM, the details taken from various mechanics' institutions are examined in terms of why, what, and how to teach sciences. This study argues that the MIM was a unique social phenomenon in which science could respond to the needs of skilled workers through education, providing science learning opportunities which were otherwise unavailable and that the MIM shared many similarities with current practice of science education, moving towards a wider career perspectives, cross-subject, community-based, and informed citizenship.

It is noted that although the current state of development of web-based English education (hereafter referred to as WBEE) might not meet the criteria some educators have set for themselves in the field, students certainly seem to prefer studying in a web-based and computer-assisted learning environment. This kind of demand is fueling the drive to develop more suitable variations of WBEE. In order for WBEE to work out, a teacher should be a multifunctional type of instructor handling responsibilities such as the role of scriptwriter to create text, act as technician for the sound mixing and recording, preside over online chat rooms and discussion boards, and finally, as webmaster to maintain the site and supervise all academic/ clerical work related to the course. Therefore, it is suggested that WBEE be accompanied by a small personnel to divide the labor and lessen the burden on the actual teacher. Finally, it is noted that the traditional relationship between students and teacher may no longer be sustainable since WBEE does not provide the face-to-face style of class discussion and office hours in its current form. Until the technology is fully developed to compensate for these kinds of differences, it is an immediate challenge to provide other more compelling reasons for students to participate in WBEE.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the level of interpersonal attachment styles and love styles and to identify the differences of love styles according to interpersonal attachment styles among nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from 510 nursing students using a self-report questionnaire and analyzed by frequencies, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and ANOVA using the SPSS program. Results: In terms of interpersonal attachment styles, secure style was the most prevalent, and fearful style was the second highest in nursing students. There were significant differences in interpersonal attachment styles between upper and lower level nursing students, indicating the highest rate of secure style in the lower grade and the highest rate of fearful style in the upper grade. In love styles, the mean scores for eros and pragma style in nursing students were significantly higher in the upper grade than the lower grade. Love styles according to interpersonal attachment styles showed a significant difference for eros style. Conclusion: Our results might help nursing educators increase their understanding of interpersonal attachment styles and love styles in nursing students and counsel nursing students in interpersonal and romantic relationships. In addition, educational programs addressing interpersonal attachment styles should be developed and applied to nursing students.
