BROWDER'S TYPE STRONG CONVERGENCE THEOREM FOR S-NONEXPANSIVE MAPPINGS

  • We prove a common fixed point theorem for S-contraction mappings without continuity. Using this result we obtain an approximating curve for S-nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space and prove Browder's type strong convergence theorem for this approximating curve. The demiclosedness principle for S-nonexpansive mappings is also established.

  • This article has tried to identify the preferred subjects of after school computer educations in elementary schools by means of the conjoint analysis. We surveyed the fourth, fifth and sixth grade students from the three schools in Seoul. It has been found that graphic related courses are most preferred, though such courses are taught in public schools. Based on this research, we propose a new curriculum for after school computer education.

  • This research reviewed literatures on proof in mathematics education. Several views of proof can be classified (and identified) such as psychological approach (Platonism, empiricism), structural approach (logicism, formalism, intuitionism) and social approach (ontology, axiomatic systems). All these views of proof are valuable in mathematics education society. The concept of proof can be found in the form of analytic knowledge not of constructive knowledge. Human beings developed their knowledge in the sequence of constructive knowledge to analytic knowledge. Therefore, in mathematics education, the curriculum of mathematics should involve the process of cognitive knowledge development.

  • In this paper, we propose a framework of reliability education program for industry people taking charge of reliability improvement or reliability evaluation. To this end, we investigate the situation of how reliability theories or reliability technologies are applied to industry and how industry people have reliability educations. And we also identify reliability theories or technologies which industry people need to ensure. Based on the result of such studies, we design a reliability education program which is appropriate for industry people.

  • The notion of perfect filters and concrete filters in WFI-algebras is introduced, and several properties are investigated. Relations between a filter, a perfect filter and a concrete filter are given, and characterizations of a perfect filter and a concrete filter are provided. An extension property for a concrete filter and a perfect filter is established.

  • The purpose of the study is to introduce how tessellation can be used and integrated to connect geometry to pattern in elementary mathematics educations. Tessellation examples include transformations such as translational symmetry, rotational symmetry, reflection symmetry, and glide reflection symmetry. In addition, many examples of tessellation using softwares such as Escher, TesselMania!, and LOGO programs. Further, future study will continue to foster students and teachers to try to construct their alive mathematics knowledge. The study of geometry and patterns require a rich teaching and learning environment provided by in-depth understanding of thinking connections to objects in real world.

  • 본 논문은 초등정보교육과정의 "문제해결방법과 절차" 영역에 필요한 초등 교육용 프로그래밍 언어교육을 실시하는데 사용될 수 있는 PBL 및 스캐폴딩 교수학습 모형을 초등 수업에 적용하고 비교 분석하였다. 이를 위해 두리틀 프로그래밍 언어를 적용하였고, 두 가지 교수학습 모형을 적용한 교수학습방법을 실시한 후 학생들의 학업 성취도 및 교육용 프로그래밍 언어에 대한 흥도 측면을 비교 분석하였다.
