  • There have been a large number of trials of the experimental education in engineering using virtual laboratories implemented in virtual space, namely on the Web. Although virtual education is regarded as an effective educational means that overcomes the limit of time and space and bring high teaming effects, the problem of lack of reality must be solved. The present study proposed and implemented a real-time remote laboratory as a solution for the problem of lack of reality in virtual education. The remote laboratory provides functions with which learners can perform experiments by remote-controlling circuits and equipment related to experiments and practices on the Web and gets data and image information, so through it learners can make realistic experiments at any time and in any place. The remote laboratory module based on Internet open sources such as JAVA Web start technology, FTP technology and Telnet technology in server-client environment can be implemented at low cost, and is effectively applicable to engineering experiment education in various areas related to real-time hardware control.

  • Individuals with a left frontal brain injury show significant impairments in their speech ability. The aims of the present study were (1) to assess and compare the ability of speech acts comprehension and executive function between individuals with a left frontal brain injury and normal individuals, and (2) to investigate the correlation of speech act comprehension ability factors. The study's subjects were 18 individuals with a left frontal brain injury and 18 normal control adults of the same age, gender, and educational age. The following results were obtained. First, the group of individuals with a left frontal brain injury had lower speech act comprehension, executive function than the normal control group. Second, the speech act comprehension ability of the individuals with a left frontal brain injury showed a high correlation with the executive function.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the structural relationships of the kindergarten teachers' role performance with the teaching efficacy and job stress. To achieve the research goal, this study conducted a survey targeting a total of 300 teachers, vice principals and principals working for infant educational institutes located in Gyeonggi-do, and analyzed 253 copies of the survey in total. The study used a structural equation to design a structural equation-based model to look into the structural relationships related to the role performance with the teaching efficacy and job stress. The collected data was then analyzed by AMOS 18.0 to estimate the correspondence and the parameter of the model. According to the results of the analysis, the role performance of kindergarten teachers was observed to have an immediate influence on the teaching efficacy. The role performance of kindergarten teachers was directly connected to job stress. The job stress had an indirect relationship with the role performance of kindergarten teachers through the teaching efficacy. The teaching efficacy of the kindergarten teachers was confirmed to have immediate association with the job stress of infant teachers.

  • Educational object of this study was patients who visited H-dental clinic in D-Metropolitan City. It was investigated on the general character, subjective health condition, oral knowledge, oral recognition and oral practice of patients(experimental group 134 subjects and control group 110 subjects) who were educated to repeated directing tooth-brushing through questionnaire. For understanding the degree of actual oral practice, plaque control score was analyzed by the O'Leary index. The results of this study are as follows. A verification of effect after repeated directing tooth-brushing education represented to significance in experimental group on the concern, subjective health condition, oral recognition, oral knowledge, oral practice and plaque control score(p<0.001). And as frequency of repeated directing tooth-brushing education was increased, plaque control score significantly increased(p<0.001).

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of academic achievement and the achievement goal of students of Department of occupational therapy in Gyeongnam Province. 106 students in the department of occupational therapy filled out a questionnaire. For this study, Elliot & Church's Achievement Goal and GPA were used. The achievement goal was subdivided into the mastery goal, the performance approach goal, and the performance avoidance goal. The GPA from the previous semester was used. The results of this study were as follows. Female students received higher grades on all of the Achievement Goals than male. The results of the performance approach goal decreased as the students' class seniority increased. The performance approach goal showed academic achievement correlated positively with performance approach, but correlated negatively with the performance avoidance goal. The negative achievement goal got lower as the seniority of students increased. On the basis of these results, an educational approach is necessary for the positive achievement goal where an understanding of the students' individual characteristics are account for in the achievement goal.

  • The objective of this study is to examine the influence of social support and ego-resilience on the burnout of infant teachers. 200 teachers from a children's day care center located in Jeju Island were selected as the subjects, with whom a survey was conducted using the criteria of social support, ego-resilience, and burnout. The data was analyzed by correlation and hierarchical analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program. The results were as follows. Firstly, the teachers' exhaustion level was low, whereas their ego-resilience level was high. Secondly, the higher their social support and ego-resilience were, the lower their exhaustion level became. Finally, in the review of the influence of social support and ego-resilience on exhaustion, ego-resilience explained more than social support. This finding suggests that teachers' ego-resilience and social support are the key factors affecting burnout. To reduce burnout, the development of educational programs to enhance the teachers' ego-resilience and social support is strongly recommended.

  • The aim of this study was to understand and describe the awareness of the emotional labor of nursing college students in a graduation year. The participants were eleven students in nursing colleges. The data were collected from September 5, 2016 to November 25 through in-depth interviews until it was saturated. All interviews were recorded and transcribed as they were spoken. Colaizzi's phenomenological method was used for data analysis. In this study, twenty-one themes, ten theme clusters and five categories were generated. The five categories consisted of 'Confused by irrational circumstances,' 'Skepticism on nursing occupation,' 'Empathy for the nurse's difficult situation,' 'Learning nurses' words and behavior', and 'Preparing for the future.' These results will contribute to the qualitative improvement of nursing practice education by providing the grounds for an effective educational strategy development that manages the emotional labor of Nursing students from clinical practice. In-depth studies on the experience of nursing students' emotional labor and studies on various factors affecting the awareness of emotional labor in nursing students and problems will be required.

  • In the 21stcentury, teachers must welcome new technology to ensure the best learning in virtual classrooms, aside from the physical classroom. Google Classroom provides a vital chance to promote blended learning and professional development. The purpose of this study is to specify the procedures in problem design when employing blended problem-based learning (BPBL) and to design problems for learning the contents of the subject. The design of problems is crucial for effective BPBL. The underlying theory of BPBL is that learning is most effectively initiated and facilitated by posing and solving real-life problems that interest the learner, because working on such problems makes learning meaningful and motivates students. Ineffective problem-based learning (PBL) could affect students when acquiring sufficient domain knowledge, activating appropriate prior knowledge, and properly directing their own learning. The procedures for designing good problems are composed of the selection of educational content, figuring out the learner's characteristics, finding problems, setting up roles and situations, and writing down problems. Using these procedures, we designed five integration problems covering the contents of management subjects. Planned management subjects based on BPBL in a Mongolian university focuses on the process of designing problems.
