This study presented the development of a user centered school facility fire safety evaluation model that would support fire safety evaluation, which is globally recognized as being important in terms of school safety, to be more efficiently implemented in the school field mainly by students. The study consisted of five steps. First, actual condition survey tools were developed based on the major fire safety evaluation items derived through literature review. Second, the characteristics of domestic school facilities in terms of fire safety were developed using the survey tools. Third, an evaluation model at a level utilizable by students was developed based on the foregoing characteristics. Fourth, the applicability of the model was verified through a trial application of the model to elementary school students. Finally, legal and institutional improvement plans and fire safety education materials were presented through a policy proposal.

The relevance of the topic is determined by the existence of inconsistencies between economic and environmental aspects of innovative development of urban logistics infrastructure, as well as the conflict of public, state and private commercial interests in this issue. The purpose of the article is to determine the principles and effective tools for innovative development of urban logistics infrastructure, taking into account pandemic constraints. The influence of the environmental aspect on the dynamics of transport flows was analyzed in detail and characterized, the scheme of determining the optimal solution for the development of the city was proposed considering the compromise between economic and ecological interests of society, state and business entities. A scheme of innovative development of urban logistics infrastructure under pandemic constraints was also developed. Materials of the article are relevant for developers of city plans, managers of urban logistics infrastructure, employees of enterprises participating in transport and logistics markets, scientists, and doctoral students.

The goal of this study is to introduce the SW Edu-thon program designed to strengthen pre-service teachers' software teaching competencies and to report its outcomes. In order to achieve the goal, we have conducted a survey for twenty-two teams of two pre-service teachers who have participated in the regional pre-contest and selected for the best lesson plans. The survey consists of several sections including the level of SW competencies, learning motivations, educational outcomes, satisfaction toward the lecturers, mentors, educational programs, and management and operations. In addition, we have analyzed the mentors' progression reports written by the participating in-service teachers who have helped the pre-service teachers to develop and implement their SW lesson plans. The results of this study provide with the outcomes of the program and the future directions for operating the SW Edu-thon program.

For successful food safety education in kindergartens, enjoyable play is essential. However, Korea lacks food safety education materials that help teachers create play activity plans suited to specific situations. This study aimed to develop food safety education guideline based on the Ministry of Education's guidelines and the 2019 Revised Nuri Kindergarten Curriculum. We reviewed current guideline and conducted focus group interviews to create content aligned with these guidelines. In our research, we structured educational content on elements of 'food safety management practices', including 'hand washing habits', 'food poisoning management', and 'food labeling information'. Nutrition and early childhood education professionals designed objectives and activities suitable for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old children. The resulting guidebook provides a comprehensive resource for planning annual, monthly, and weekly food safety education. Educational topics, content, examples of children's experiences, and related Nuri curriculum were summarized in the food safety education guidebook. Guidebooks were provided to kindergartens to facilitate the application of these activities. The guideline developed in our study will enable kindergartens to make structured plans for food safety education, ultimately contributing to children's health and the formation of safe eating habits.
Purpose: Health management programs should provide comprehensive health services for students and staffs at schools. Health management programs are critical for helping students become adults with physically, mentally, and socially good health conditions. The aim of this study was to identify the past and present history of health management programs and health laws to help schools develop future health plans. Methods: This study was conducted by analyzing reference data collected using data from Ministry of Education and Science Technology, Korean Educational Development Institute, Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Statistical Office as well as legal documents from the Legislative Office related to school health from 2001 to 2010. Results: Health management programs in schools included three sections: disease prevention and control, physical examinations, and prevention of communicable diseases. Disease prevention and controls consisted of obesity control, drug abuse prevention and control,and management of students' mental health. Various strategies and services were developed to improve health status of students for 10 years from 2001 to 2010. School health laws and systems have been established for disease prevention, physical examinations and communicable disease control as well, to improve students' health as well. Conclusion: The history of health management programs has a number of implications to help design future plans for school health programs and services for students and staffs.

The purpose of this study, which focuses on safe living as an important determinant of the quality of life for the elderly, is to provide policy proposals for their safe living in rural areas by examining their current living conditions and related policies. To examine the related policies, we analyzed government plans including: the first, second and third Basic Plan on Low Fertility and Aging Society, first implemented in 2006, the first, second and third Basic Plan for Healthy Families, also first implemented in 2006, and the first, second and third Five-year Plan for Improvement of the Quality of Life of Rural People and Regional Development of Rural Areas, first implemented in 2005. In addition to these plans, government projects concerning safe living environments were assessed. we present the following policy proposals for the safe living of the elderly in rural areas. First, integrated, customized policies are required for the rural elderly's everyday life. That is, elderly-friendly residential improvement policies are needed since accidents involving the rural elderly usually occur in their own houses. Policies should also be introduced to monitor and improve the elderly's nutritional and health status. Also considering the high proportion of elderly people in rural areas, policies must be aimed at creating elderly-friendly and family-friendly villages. Second, educational sessions for the elderly are necessary to raise their awareness of safety in everyday lives, which they often overlook.

The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching-learning plans for middle school Home Economics that practices clothing life in response to climate change. Four steps of analysis, design, development, and evaluation were used for the research. 'Phenomenon and cause, impact (environmental, economic and social) and response (relaxation and adaptation)' were selected as educational content elements for climate change through reviewing the literature related to climate change. Six types of middle school Technology and Home Economics textbooks under the 2015 revised curriculum were analyzed using the selected content elements for climate change as the basis for analysis according to the data type(reading data, picture data, activity data) and clothing use cycle (production, purchase, use, and disposal). Based on the content elements of climate change in the clothing life area extracted through textbook analysis, a total of 12 teaching-learning plans in response to climate change were developed by utilizing various teaching and learning methods, data and media. The teaching-learning plans were designed based on an integrated understanding of the phenomena, causes, effects, and responses of climate change for the students to realize the seriousness of climate change and to exercise positive influence on families and society.
This research has the meaning to be the basic help for the study of the qualification system for cultural artistic education teachers, and it is to recognize the importance of the qualification system for cultural artistic education teachers which has been developed from the teachers' pool system to the present cultural artistic education teacher system and to find the more systematic development plan. Thus, focusing on the advanced researches and materials regarding the cultural artistic education teachers, this research is to discover the economical, social and educational values and the plan to solve the present problems. And as a result of this research, it suggests the development plans for curriculums and training course, qualification and employment, field experiences, working conditions and treatment of the cultural artistic education teachers.

University campuses have been developed along with the historical development of mankind in association with the characteristics of urban changes. In particular, regarding the master plan reflecting periodic characteristics, now is the time to grope for crucial roles today that we are pursuing international growth of universities. Also, with the development of cities, in terms of the aspects of campus development, various borderline extension strategies are explored due to the physical limitation. And with the program methods through the exchange with the local community, we are concretizing this through the formation of new campuses. Seoul National University, the subject of this paper, is groping for ways of extension through the SNU-Valley Project with its Gwanak campus. Along with this, it is looking for ways of cubic borderline extension by forming Siheung international campus. The conclusion drawn through above contents is as written below: First, universities located in cites have relatively more limitations in the extension of campus space along with the development of urban space changes. To overcome this, various ways like political or physical space extension strategies are being explored. Second, along with the physical strategies visually shown in suggesting university campus master plans, we can recognize the importance of suggesting vision through specialization strategies. Third, it is about the importance of improving relationship with the local community. With the approaches based on human resources and reasonable connection of space, this also plays roles in enhancing the urbanity of the campus. Fourth, we can see the aspects of campus' urban function enhancing. It is needed to connect urban context that a region has with environment and grope for ways to enhance centrality, connection, and accessibility in it.
The Korean government embarked upon ambitious economic development plans in the 1960's the goals of development policy at that time were the elimination of absolute poverty and the alleviation of unemployment. With scant natural resources, the government had to push for industrialization based upon borrowed foreign raw materials with surplus local labor. Preoccupation with the economic goals of industrialization and export expansion left little room for considering environmental protection. It is evident that Korea's exported industrialization strategy of the past three decades has been a success in terms of income, production, and other macroeconomic indicators, but it cannot be denied that a host of undesirable side-effects have been created. These include environmental problems. congestion in several large cities, poor wealth distribution, and regional disparities. The environmental problems were recognized even in the early stage of development, but preoccupation with the pending economic goals of industrialization and export expansion left little room for considering environment protection. The perceived and actual seriousness of the problems, however, has reached such a level that further negligence may imperil political stability and developmental problems facing the world arise from a world economic order characterized by ever expanding consumption and production, which exhausts and contaminates natural resources and creates and perpetuates gross inequalities between and within nations. It will be necessary to develop new culture and ethical values, transform economic structures, and reorient, our lifestyles. Changing lifestyles can not be promoted by government policy initiative alone but through self=generated educational efforts and mutual training by people themselves. The citizens group for environment (NGOs) should assume these educational and training responsibilities starting from grass-root level of people. It must be reawakened to the reality that the environmental preservation for better quality of life is based on the development of human relationships, creativity, spirituality, reverance for the natural world and celebration of life, and is not dependent upon increased consumption of non-basic material goods. To carry on such environment education social movements and NGOs should (1) provides educational methodologies, which focus on values clarification and moving beyond clarification and moving beyond blame to constructive action. (2) provide training for leaders of business and industry, government, union and others on consumption and production. (3) initiate and support the training and work of environmental counselor who encourage responsible consumption. (4) cooperative with media to initiate and strengthen educational programs on the social environmental programs on the social environmental impacts of consumption and production and to build awareness of consumer responsibility and potential. Economic and social development can be compatible with environment protection : both can be achieved simultaneously. Effective environmental management depends on the various factors : political will, institutional arrangements, appropriate legislation, and availability of the requistite financial and technological resources, which is possible with a strong public awareness of the importance of environmental preservation.
