창의성 교육 모델의 탐색 (An Exploration of Creativity Education Model)

  • Although it is widely acknowledged that enhancing creativity is an important educational theme on which schools should depend and embody their educational goal and activities, how to do it can be characterized as 'piecemeal' without a whole picture of it. Thus, school practices of creativity education has been disoriented, discontinuous, short-term, and peripheral in nature. In this practical context, a theoretical model of creativity education was developed in ways in which several theoretical concepts based on research findings on a variety of aspects of creativity education were compiled and organized. The core of the model was creative problem solving process to which the goals and the mediating variables of creativity education were connected in relational fashion. By giving repetitive opportunities for creative problem solving geared to producing the results that are novel and useful for the individual as well as the socity, it was conceptualized that two educational goals could be achieved: a short-term goal of developing creative potential of the individual and the long-term goals of self-actualization of the individual and contribution to the society. It is also conceptualized that creative problem solving can be influenced in positive manner by several mediating variables: content knowledge and skills, creative cognition, creative motivation and attitudes, and creative environment. The creative environment is composed of psychological and physical conditions and provides a basis for creativity education. The former three variables are conceptualized as necessary conditions for the effectiveness and efficiency of creative problem solving, when provided appropriately. The four mediating variables ware conceptualized as mutually affecting so that the development of one variable influences positively that of the other, and vice versa. In terms of practical perspective of teaching creativity, developing creative potential, self-actualization, and contribution to society are the goals; creative problem solving process is the methodology; content knowledge and skills, creative cognition, and creative motivation and attitudes are the content; and creative environment is the condition of creativity education. The model is not yet perfect but needs further explorations to make it more detailed in clarifying various relationships. For instance, how the creative problem solving process can be differentiated in teaching various subject matters is yet to be explored. Thus, the model proposed in this study should be regarded as a general model of creativity education, and is relatively sound to be adopted in school practices since it is based on the theoretical as well as empirical study findings on creativity. However, the proposed model needs to be validated through empirical researches in real teaching settings.

학령기 아동의 스트레스 관련 변인 탐색 (Ecological Variables on Children's Stress)

  • The purpose of this study was firstly to identify how the characteristics of children(grades, birth order, self-consciousness), parents(age, educational level, employment status of mother, mother's parenting behavior), and context (private tutoring status, tying area) relate to children's stress and secondly to examine the relative effects of these variables on children's stress. The subjects of this study were 940(453 boys, 440 girls) children from grades 4 to 6 who were selected from three elementary schools in Seoul and Buchun. Data were analyzed with t-test, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: (1) Girls get stressed easier than boys in terms of being treated distantly by their friends. (2) The study showed a negative relationship between children's stress and their self-consciousness such as general self-consciousness, teaming self-consciousness and total self-consciousness. (3) While the results showed a negative relationship between children's stress and mothers' acceptable behavior, the study revealed a positive relationship between children's stress and the mother's over protective behavior which in turn raised the children's stress level. (4) In 'total stress', it was recognized that boys were affected mostly tv grades in the children's variables category, while girls were affected by their general self-consciouness. In addition, both girls and boys were affected mostly by acceptable-refusal parental behavior in the parental variables category, and further affected by the living area in the category of conditional variables.

Factors Influencing Corporate Donations Among Shariah-Compliant Companies in Malaysia

  • Within the context of publicly traded Sharia-compliant companies in Malaysia, this study investigated the influence that board and company characteristics have on corporate donations. The primary focus of the study was (i) two board characteristics derived from upper echelons theory, namely gender composition and education level, and (ii) four firm variables derived from stakeholder theory, specifically company size, profitability, leverage, and industry category. This study used a total of 402 Shariah-compliant companies that operated in accordance with Shariah law. The information utilized in this study was culled by hand from the annual reports of various companies covering the years 2017 through 2019. According to the findings, the educational level of a company's board of directors has a significant impact on the amount of money donated to charitable organizations by Shariah-compliant companies. The level of expertise possessed by board members can be of assistance to businesses in becoming more aware of the necessity of making contributions or donations. Corporate contribution practices among Shariah-compliant companies in Malaysia were also significantly influenced by the firm's size, profitability, and the industry category in which the business was classified. The findings of the study contribute to a better understanding of the impact that board and company variables have on the activities of corporate donors.

중학생의 측정의 본성에 대한 견해에 따른 일상 및 과학적 맥락에서의 그래프 구성의 차이 (The Differences of Graph Construction of Middle School Students on Daily-life and Scientific Contexts by the Views on the Nature of Scientific Measurement)

  • 이 연구에서는 측정의 본성에 대한 견해에 따라 중학생이 구성한 일상 및 과학적 맥락의 그래프에서 나타나는 차이를 조사하였다. 중학교 3학년 학생 151명이 연구에 참여하였다. 일상 및 과학적 맥락만 다른 상황에서 비례, 반비례, 비례하게 증가하다 일정해지는 형태의 그래프를 구성할 수 있도록 유사한 측정값을 갖는 자료를 각각 제시한 후, 학생들이 구성한 그래프를 추세선 구성(추세선의 유형, 내·외삽), 축 변수 설정, 축 눈금 표기와 점 찍기 측면에서 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 집합 패러다임의 학생들은 반비례 그래프의 추세선을 곡선형으로, 점 패러다임의 학생들은 꺾은선형으로 구성하는 경향이 있었다. 내·외삽의 경우, 과학적 맥락의 그래프에서 집합 패러다임의 학생들은 점 패러다임의 학생들보다 내·외삽을 더 잘 수행하는 경향이 있었다. 이때 집합 패러다임의 학생들은 일상 및 과학적 맥락과 무관하게 내·외삽을 잘 수행하였으나 점 패러다임의 학생들은 일상적 맥락보다 과학적 맥락에서 내삽만 수행한 비율이 높았다. 축 변수 설정, 축 눈금 표기, 점 찍기 요소는 패러다임 유형에 따른 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중학생의 그래프 구성 능력 함양을 위한 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

도시의 입지결정요인 추출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Explanatory Analysis of Determinants for Location)

  • Although the comparative advantage of cities is emphasized in the context of transition into an information-oriented society and globalization, it is difficult to define the concept and evaluate the status of each city. There have been many studies and appraisals on urban competitiveness with common features of subjective standards by researchers. This study aims at extracting determinants of competitive advantage of location by not normative but data-based approach, and deals with panel data concerning 21 cities in capital region. Factor Analysis, a kind of multivariate methods, is taken up for the purpose and results in various findings. Time-serial 5-factor models constructed by the analysis show temporal variability in the determinants and have non-exhaustive and overlapped categories. This study also finds that 'educational base' is emphasized as a leading determinant and 'health, welfare and public services' factor is getting more important. The other potential factor explaining variables such as college and museum is also emerging, which is considered as an element to attract people from outside. And the fact that traditionally expected factors regarding industrial or productive basis is not drawn out indicates the other way of thinking on the relationship between the essential function of cities and industrial foundation.

M-Learning Systems Usage: A Perspective from Students of Higher Educational Institutions in Sri Lanka

  • Mobile devices have become attractive learning devices for education. The digitalization of the higher education system in Sri Lanka by 2020 is part of the government's effort to modernize and enhance the country's overall education system particularly in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Theoretically, this study contributes to the M-Learning model in higher education institutions via the integration of literature on technology adoption (TAM and UTAUT) with the variables of Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Condition. The attitude towards M-Learning amongst higher education students was gauged via an online questionnaire survey. The convenience sample comprised 344 students from the Advanced Technological Institutes (ATI) in Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka. Descriptive statistics, a measurement, and structural model, and hypotheses testing were used to analyze the derived data. The findings indicate that mobile learning is significantly affected by perceived ease of use, social influence, effort expectancy, and facilitating condition, but negatively affected by attitude and perceived usefulness. The exhaustive literature review revealed that there are very few M-Learning studies related to digital learning in the context of higher education in the Batticaloa district.

수도권 정비 권역별 입지 경쟁력 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Competitiveness of the Alignment Zones in the Capital Area)

  • In the context of sustainability which is understood as equilibrium among three elements; human, space and time, the imbalance within the Seoul metropolitan area hinders its own area or the nation from development. Claims for the balanced development in the area are set up on the premise that there is a locational order of priority among the zones named 'overpopulation suppression', 'growth management' and 'conservation'. Based on the systematic consideration of competitiveness this study adopts the premise as a research hypothesis. Factor scales derived from the factor analysis, a kind of multivariate dependence analysis play an important role in this research process since they are measured by interval-ratio level and can be used for dependent variables in the statistical analysis. The hypothesis test carried out by means of the analysis of variance(ANOVA) concludes that the hypothesis assuming no difference in the competitiveness is rejected but the alternative hypothesis of the locational order mentioned above should be adjusted. Eigenvalues derived from the factor analysis could be used as weights for aggregate factor scales and the scales show that the priority is in the order of growth management - overpopulation suppression - conservation zones. This finding has also a significant implication that the countermeasures to cope with the lowering of the competitiveness resulted from the continuous and absolute restraints should be provided. And strategic approaches which are composed of key factors for each zone are deducted from in-depth review. (1) overpopulation suppression zone; health-welfare, educational base, public service factors, focusing on health-welfare one, (2) growth management zone; public service factor and (3) conservation zone; health-welfare, educational base factors, also focusing on health-welfare one.

우리나라 중학생의 함수 개념화 특성 (Korean middle school students' conception of function)

  • 중학교의 함수 개념 도입과 관련하여 7차 교육과정의 개정 시 종속적인 변화관계에 기반하여 도입하도록 큰 변화를 시도하였고 이러한 방향은 현재 2009 개정 교육과정에서도 유지되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 교육과정의 변화가 학생들의 함수개념 이해에 어떤 변화를 가져왔는지 그리고 실제 교수 학습 장면에서 함수가 어떻게 지도되고 있는지를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 학생들의 경우 과제기반 심층 면담을 통해 함수 개념화의 특성을 살펴보았고 또 다른 한편으로는 학생들의 지도교사들을 대상으로 면담을 실시하여 수업에서 함수를 도입하는 방식에 대해 질문하였다. 연구결과 학생들은 종속적 변화관계에 기반하여 함수를 인식하는 정도가 매우 미약하며 교사들 또한 종속적 변화관계에 기반하여 함수를 지도하는데 어려움을 겪고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 학교수학에서 함수 지도와 관련한 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

초등학교 수학 교과에서의 비례 추론에 대한 연구 (Study on Proportional Reasoning in Elementary School Mathematics)

  • 이 연구는 비례 추론의 본질이 무엇이며, 비례 추론이 어떻게 발달하는지를 알아보고 비례 추론을 개발하기 위한 요인 중 과제 요인에 초점을 맞춰 지도 방향이 초등학교 수학 교과에서 어떠해야하는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 비례 추론은 비례, 비, 비율, 비례식과 관계된 추론으로서, 공변과 다중 비교의 의미를 포함하는 양적 및 질적 추론이다. 2007 개정 교육과정에 따른 교과서에서는 비와 비율, 비례식, 정비례와 반비례 등 비례 추론과 관련된 내용을 지도하고 있으나 닮음, 속도, 농도, 확대도와 축도 등 다른 교과와 관련된 내용들은 지도하지 않거나 약화시키고 있다. 공변과 관련된 내용은 비와 정비례, 반비례 등에 포함되어 있으나 전개 방식이 동적이라기보다는 정적인 방식이다. 특히 비례식에서는 알고리즘에 의해 결측치를 구하는 데 치중하고 동치인 비를 생각하고 양변의 구조적 유사성을 의식하도록 유도하지는 않는다. 또한 비를 비형식적으로 비교해보거나 비례 상황과 비비례 상황을 구별하는 활동을 찾아볼 수 없다. 초등학교 학생들의 비례 추론을 육성하기 위해서는 교육과정과 교과서 개발 작업에서 이를 뒷받침할 필요가 있다.

자폐스펙트럼장애아동을 대상으로 한 국내 로봇활용 융합연구동향 (Research Trends and Considerations in The Clinical Use of Robots for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 이루어진 자폐스펙트럼장애아동을 대상으로 한 로봇 활용 융합연구동향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 최근에 장애 아동의 교육적, 치료적 중재에 연구되고 있는 로봇연구 동향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구방법으로, 자폐를 키워드로 2009년 이후에 발표된 논문을 검색하여 총 17편의 연구 논문을 최종 선정하였고, 활용로봇, 독립변인, 종속변인 유형, 연구방법을 바탕으로 하여 주제별 범주로 묶어 내용 분석하였다. 연구결과, 그 중 자폐아동을 위한 로봇개발은 발전이 빠른 분야 중 하나이며, 자폐스펙트럼장애아동의 중재에 유용한 것으로 나타났다. 연구를 통해 향후 로봇활용의 일반화를 촉진할 수 있는 적용 절차 및 단계 등에 대한 세분화된 접근이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.
