  • Children's food behaviors have been expressed in a various ways because of recent changes in their family environment. Thus, this study was performed to investigate in-depth qualitative research on the mother's perception on children's food behaviors by focused group interview. This study was designed in four steps of planning, collection of participants, process, and analysis. Participants for the focus group interview were recruited and sampled from households with elementary school students in the Seoul and Gyeonggido areas. Groups were divided by total income and education expense levels. 1) High income household: It is better to improve currently existing web sites for nutrition education. 2) Mid income household: Easy, practical, and inexpensive off-line cooking class/nutrition education classes for mothers are needed. Nutrition programs for children should be developed through mass media and be promoted in the broadcasting circle. 3) Low income household: Motivation is required for mothers' educatior and the serious nutritional problems of children should be informed through mass media and home correspondence from school. And interesting educational materials should be developed for children to read whenever they want.

  • Grit, a concept conceived in 2007 by Duckworth and others in the United States, is based on positive psychology that focuses on growth and development through individual strengths. Recently, "Grit", which means patience and enthusiasm for long-term goals, has emerged as a key factor of personality strength. In Korea, Joo-hwan Kim (2013) was the first to conceptualize and study the subject of Grit. However, there have been no overview studies that systematically summarize the overall trends and flow in the research of Grit so far. There have been 147 research papers on Grit published so far in Korea. The purpose of this study was to conduct trend analysis on the subject of Grit by analyzing forty-three (43) master's and doctoral dissertations, thus presenting the direction of future research on Grit through careful analysis. In the studies conducted, it was found that Grit is a very significant variable linked to self-efficacy. It is also a subjective belief that can help an individual achieve his/her educational goals, and go through failure resynchronization. In addition, Grit is very significant as a practical core indicator of how fusion talent is fostered for the fourth industrial revolution. Therefore, there is a need for more in-depth research from the viewpoints of workplace learning, experiential learning, or informal learning, as well as research into Grit characteristics.

  • Understanding teachers in the early childhood education is crucial as it can not only affect the quality of children's education but also cause many critical problems such as child abuse. A significant amount of research work has been made on the use of robots in childcare classrooms. The finding from the research has shown many advantages such as the improvement of learning performance, social/emotional skills, creativity, concentration period, physical and cognitive development. However, most of the study has been implemented at the K-12 classrooms but not much has been focused on the education at the early childhood classrooms. Importantly, it is very crucial to understand teachers' perception, demands and technical competence about the new teaching tool, in order to maximize its educational effect. This paper investigates some critical issues existing in both teaching and managing in the early childhood education. It will also explore teachers' perceptions and expectations on the use of robots to identify some dilemmas that exist in their working and teaching environment. A survey study was conducted with 119 early childhood educators in South Korea. It analyzed the educators' perception of using robots to improve their teaching performance and to make better outcomes for children, investigated job satisfaction and difficulties that they have in the current work environment. This paper concludes with several guidelines for integrating and setting robotics in the early childhood environment, in order to engender productive outcomes for the future early childhood education.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between dance passion, self-management, and dance immersion. Specifically, passion for dance was subdivided into obsessive-compulsive passion and harmonious passion, and these were selected as exogenous variables. In addition, it is intended to provide theoretical and educational implications by analyzing the structural equation model composed of endogenous variables of self-management and dance immersion. The subjects of this study were college students majoring in dance, and the final 206 students were selected as effective samples by the convenient sampling method. For data processing, frequency analysis and reliability analysis were performed using SPSS 23. In addition, AMOS 21 was used for confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. As a result of the study, first, it was found that both compulsive passion and harmonious passion have a positive effect on self-management. Second, self-management was found to have a positive effect on dance immersion. Third, it was found that compulsive passion had a positive effect on dance commitment, but harmonious passion did not have a statistically significant effect on dance commitment.

  • Recently, local governments that provide mobile-based public delivery app services have been increasing a lot. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the restaurant self-employed's public delivery app selection attributes and public institutions' perception of support, which are under economic pressure due to the high delivery fee burden of private delivery apps, affect the intention to use public delivery app services. In this study, the degree of perception of each factor was measured using the Likert 5-point scale, and it was verified through statistical analysis using SPSS. The effect of the selection attribute of public delivery apps and the perception of self-employed people in the restaurant industry on the intention to use the service was empirically analyzed, and the hypothesis was verified using regression analysis. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that convenience, economy, and public interest had a significant effect among the factors of public app selection attributes, and educational support had a significant effect on public institution support.

  • For this study, 373 students of H cyber university were chosen to conduct a survey in the spring semester of 2011. The result of this study through structural equation modeling analysis was as follows: First, organizational support significantly affected perceived isolation. Second, organizational support and perceived isolation significantly affected satisfaction. Third, perceived isolation and satisfaction significantly affected learning persistence, while organizational support didn't. In addition, satisfaction was verified as a mediating variable between organizational support, satisfaction, and learning persistence, and satisfaction was verified as a mediating variable between perceived isolation, organizational support and learning persistence. These results imply that perceived isolation and organizational support should be considered for the design and development strategies of instructional courses in order to enhance satisfaction and learning persistence of students in cyber educational environment.

  • The purposes of this study are to describe the process for the instrument construction and the development of scales on rating college students' adaptability and to analyze the technical qualities of the test. The primary goal of this study is to inform students and institutions what is needed to college student's adjustment process into university and college life. The scales are tested by specialty group and statistical methods, and finally composed of 142 items, which measures 8 scales, the academic integration, the social integration into college, career identity, emotional stability, learning condition's stability, relationship with professors, satisfaction degree of educational service, satisfaction degree of college education. This study analyzed 1,959 students' responses from 4 colleges and universities. This study confirms that the scales which this study developed show high concurrent evidence with the college student's adaptability inventory for Korean university and college students based on various development process, specially rapid great change of college. The result of factor analysis shows the evidence based on internal structures of the scales. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of the subscales is .965, from 742 to .937. The prediction model to determine the possibility of dropout by 7 scales is statistically significant in .05, except learning condition's stability. According to CFA Model, RMSEA= .08~.09. dependence factor variance are explained by this study's CFA model. In conclusion, this study confirms that the scales which this study developed are valid and reliable instrument for Korean university and college students to predict their adaptability to college.

  • In this study, we wanted to analyze the factors at the national university level that affect college students ' elimination. In addition, national universities, private universities, universities in Seoul and universities outside of Seoul were divided into more college-specific characteristics. Except for leave of absence and departure from school, it was defined as a middle school dropout among changes of students. The data were used for analysis by receiving raw data from "University Alerts," which are operated by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for Educational Universities. At the university notification, 222 universities out of the schools classified as "Universities" were utilized for final analysis, and jobs, credits, scholarships, tuition fees, students, independent students, and full-time teachers were secured through multiple education. Overall, the higher the average graduate level and employee-rate the lower the rate of elimination from the middle of college students, the analysis showed. Second, the higher the average tuition fees at private universities, the more negatively affects the rate of elimination of university students. Third, higher tuition fees at universities outside the Seoul metropolitan area have a negative impact on the rate of elimination of students.
