Development of Instructional Design Model for Smart Education (스마트교육 수업 설계 모형 개발)

  • The smart education recognized new educational paradigm is going to be introduced in earnest in the field from 2015. We develop the instructional design model for smart education to be able to provide a guide to design the instruction which has a speciality compared to current instruction. Furthermore, we did an expert assessment to recognize the validation and applicability of developed instructional design model and then apply this model to the field. As a result, we drew a positive conclusion for this instructional design model, which provides a base of systemic instructional design in smart education environment and focuses on expanding the ability of students living on 21st century. We expect that this study will be useful for teachers in the field who perform the smart education.

  • Korea adopted a university education ,which it would have been many changes and innovations until modem developed university has its distinct feature. Design education is started just before release of korea and it has inclueded various majors in many changes until now. On the basis of 'Design', multi-media design has been happened and it shows the em of computer. With this change, the School Curriculum was tried many revisions and major subjects has had many changes reflecting the trend of the times. The Visual Communication Design Education is no exception to this. Especially the Visual Communication Design Education has a special quality that accept ail kinds of medium which can deliver on visual angle. Also it takes the problem that how to receive and teach new medium-Computer. The University education that original subject and new computer subject are mixed appropriately must be established promptly. We reside at the very point where past and present merge toward the future of computer graphic design.

  • Beyond the simple stage of technical development, the growth of information networks have changed areas such as the economy, communities, and education. Existing knowledge and new knowledge about these things have developed and either coexist or conflict with each other. It is difficult to predict the result of this interaction since old and new information is changing so quickly. The transition from a simple communication to an interactive communication is related to a changed communication environment which involves a more complex level of understanding. Establishing the new design concept which is aimed at the future and developing new educational programs which respond to these new information networks are important in order to educate designers who can adjust to the new information network era and construct design education. This paper reports research about the process of developing new education systems that explore the new design paradigms, the changing information network, and the proper approaches to developing design education programs which fulfill these requirements.

The Development and Application of Program for Scientific Experimental Design Knowledge Generation in Elementary School (초등학생을 위한 과학적 실험 설계 지식 생성 학습 프로그램의 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a program for elementary school students' scientific experimental design knowledge generation. This study also investigated the effects of their experimental design ability, as well as the change in the type and elaborateness of their experimental design by applying the program. The subjects of this study was 4 classes in 6th grade of an elementary school located in Seoul, KOREA. The classes were divided into experimental and comparative groups. While the treatment was applied to the experimental group, the comparative group was taught using conventional methods. The pre-test and post-test for students' capability of building scientific experimental design knowledge were conducted to compare the ability of experimental design, the change in the type and elaborateness of experimental design. The findings in this study are as follows: First, the program appeared to be effective in improving experimental design ability. Furthermore, the program appeared to be more effective in generating a higher level of the experimental design type and elaborateness. Therefore, in order to improve experimental design knowledge generation ability, the program can be utilized as effective learning model in elementary school.

  • This paper explores and proposes the evaluation criteria of design projects in the entry-level design course. In the entry-level engineering design course the students proceeds various design projects to understand the concept of engineering design process and to develop the creativity. The evaluation criteria of design projects is very important component because the outcome of students in the engineering design course are effected from the evaluation criteria that enforces the students to focus on doing their task. According to this case study the evaluation criteria can be good solution to evaluate the design projects. By the outcome standard of ABEEK on the entry-level engineering design course the evaluation criteria was selected with the results of design projects such as design plan, report, handicrafts, objectives.

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the current theory education system and students'awareness about Korean identity by analysing four-year curricula of Interior design programs in domestic universities and questionnaires of 468 junior and senior students who have taken the history of interior design. This study is the first step of continuous research for establishing new model of education related to Korean tradition. Following three issues - $\circled1$degree of knowledge and awareness of Korean university students majoring interior design about Korean identity, $\circled2$extent of the coverage of theoretical education for korean tradition in curricula of interior programs, $\circled3$extent of the application of Korean identity as a design theme in studio classes - were mainly analysed.
