The object of this study is to understand the psychological factor of the worker on safety and recommend experimental factor of safety education program. The following are the methods of this study. We analyzed the statistical data from survey to workers(N=139) about the psychological factor on safely. The survey consisted of 34 questions about 4 factors like private external characteristic, psychological characteristic, characteristics on behavior, and experience and reason of disaster. As the result of the analysis of the multi regression model on the base of correlation of each of the major factors, psychological health, effort on practicing, and satisfaction on their life were the variables with high influence on the safety mind of workers. So, it is good safety strategy for effective working to maintain healthy life with optimistic minds, and try to practice actively as usual. After considering the result, for the development of safety education program for working, we have to consider psychological factors of our workers that influence their safety and try to improve the experimental education opportunity, and it will be effective.

Safety is paramount for construction industry throughout the world. Human errors which contribute to more than half of construction accidents, could be proactively prevented through effective education and training methods. Although Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) have gained much attention in various disciplines, few studies applied them for construction safety education. This research presents a new approach in construction safety education by utilizing VR and AR. The vision of aligning teaching & learning strategies is examined in order to ensure the potential benefits of the new method. This innovative approach shifts safety education from "Listen, and I will forget. See, and I may remember" towards "Practice, and I understand".
Objectives: This study aims at grasping the socio-demographic variable, safety education experience, personality type and accident experience and analyzing if the personality type influences on the accident experience. Methods: For 330 third-year students at one middle school located at Gyeonggi-Do, questionnaire survey was performed on 16th, October, 2010. Excepting data of 19 students poor in contents, 311 students' data were analyzed. Results: The results of analysis are like followings. 1. As for relation between the socio-demographic variable and accident experience, it showed statistical significance in sex and how to go to school. And there was no statistical significance in parents' job, educational level of parents, residential type, school record and allowance. 2. As for relation between safety education experience and accident experience, safety education doing school than family lowered accident incidence outstandingly. When safety education frequency increased one time, possibility to experience accident decreased to 30%. 3. As for relation between 4 personality types of MBTI and accident experience, Thinking(T) experienced accident more than Feeling(F). Moreover, it showed difference in accident type and injuried degree. This results were statistically significant. As the result of analyzing the injuried degree by sex only in Thinking(T) and Feeling(F), female students had statistically significant difference. Conclusions: Health care providers should develop school safety programs by characteristics of personality.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the knowledge and attitude towards radiation protection after radiation safety management education in dental hygiene students. Methods: After receiving informed consents, a self-reported questionnaire was carried out for 135 dental hygiene students in Busan on June 17 for preliminary survey and September 3 for post-education survey, 2011. The questionnaire was modified from Han and consisted of 5 questions of general characteristics, 6 questions of radiation use, 7 questions of scholastic characteristics, 15 questions of knowledge towards radiation safety management, and 15 questions of attitude towards radiation safety management. Cronbach's alpha was 0.808 in the knowledge towards radiation safety management. Attitude towards radiation safety management included 15 questions of general attitude towards radiation safety management, individual and patient, and attitude toward radiation exposure reduction measured by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.970 in the attitude towards radiation safety management. Data were analyzed using SAS version 9.2 for educational analysis, technical analysis and multivariate analysis, paired t-test, and GLM. Results: Significant differences were shown in the knowledge and attitudes towards radiation safety management; the level of knowledge was respectively $9.8{\pm}3.0$ and $12.9{\pm}1.9$ points before and after education, and the level of attitude was $4.28{\pm}0.51$ and $4.53{\pm}0.47$ before and after the education. The levels of knowledge and attitude according to general characteristics showed a significant differences in grade and academic results. Post-education survey suggested that the education is very important and necessary and can change the knowledge and attitude towards radiation safety management in the dental hygiene students. Conclusions: Through the radiation safety management education, the levels of knowledge and attitude towards radiation safety management have changed significantly, which showed that the radiation safety management education proved to be very effective. Therefore, an effective radiation safety management education program is necessary to improve the levels of knowledge and attitude towards radiation safety management in the dental hygiene students.
This study aims at investigating basic safety consciousness as preprocessing of the establishment of experience-oriented safety education center in which citizens can have positive and active experience education, based on the data for which the investigators have investigated and analyzed such citizens' safety consciousness as awareness, consciousness and feedback of national safety accident, systematic prevention of safety accident and necessity of first-aid when safety accident happens, focused on citizens in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do where more than 1/3 of the national population live, for the purpose of establishing experience-oriented education center where citizens can be taught to prevent accidents wisely, picking up experiences of large or small accidents up to now. And the findings from the study support the followings : 1) Ordinary people think that danger factors have prevailed in our entire society, and fear that the danger may come to them directly.2) Ordinary people's consciousness of safety accident is low, that is because selfishness and 'take-it-easy' manner have prevailed in our entire society. 3) Ordinary people have the dread of safety accident individually, but they don't know how to deal with safety accident when it happened. 4) Although most people have taken lessons about safety accident, they still feel the need to have systematic education about safety accident. 5) Children and survey-respondents are highly concerned with prevention of safety accident, but there were few people who sent their children to 'safety accident prevention program by outside institute', still less they didn't participate in the above program. And especially they complained a lot about safety education conducted by school. 6) Most people truly felt the need that they should have experience-oriented safety education center to be able to see, hear and experience. The considerations (or suggestions) resulting from the above findings from the study will turn out that people will need such recreation facilities, rest and play space that the family can enjoy as space for the prevention of safety accident, appliance for field lesson and space for developed program, and in light of visitors' convenience, safer and more convenient vehicle service will have to be offered.
Immediate responsibilities for occupational health and safety (OHS) management reside in business proprietors and supervisors whose voluntary participation in OHS educational programs, not legal sanctions, may thus lead to safe and pleasant work environments. This study investigates how to promote the effectiveness of OHS educational programs to draw voluntary participations in such programs in Korea To this end, drawbacks of current practices in OHS education are first analyzed, and then OHS related policies in advanced countries in the area of disaster prevention such as United States and Germany, are also scrutinized. Based on the preliminary investigations, the following propositions are made to lay out the foundation for promoting effective OHS educational programs in Korea: improvement of government regulations, revitalizing job training initiatives, on-site OHS education, compensation and incentive programs for OHS education. These propositions may also facilitate the deployment of disaster prevention activities across the organization and prevent various occupational disorders (for example, musculoskeletal disorders). This study emphasizes that monolithic OHS education systems led by regulatory agencies may not be efficient to ensure healthy and safe work environments. Globally competitive OHS educational systems may be established only when they are based on the health and safety requirements specified by proprietors and workers.

All statistical analyses are conducted by SPSS package program (ver 20.0). Results: According to the results of evaluating the food safety education program by dietitian and HACCP specialist, the overall satisfaction score was 4.14, evaluated by 5 point scale. There were no significant difference in results of evaluation between dieticians and HACCP specialists. The score of 'it is helpful to work' and 'pictures, images and charts are pertinent to study' were higher than others while the score of 'education contents is pleasant and interesting' and 'screen is pleasant and interesting' were the lowest among all evaluation items. Conclusions: To increase the school foodservice quality, employees should be offered regular food safety education and training through effective education media including prerequisite program and HACCP manual for school foodservice.
The statistics of the safety accidents in labs show that the biggest reason for them is researchers' carelessness and insecure actions. In this way, the safety accidents in labs are affected a lot by researchers' safety consciousness. Therefore, in order to prevent the safety accidents in labs, this study aims at measuring the degree of researchers' safety consciousness, grasping the elements affecting their safety consciousness and suggesting the measures to improve the lacking safety consciousness. To accomplish this goal, a survey was conducted and analyzed on the safety consciousness of 1,226 researchers working at 10 government- supported research institutes in Daedeok R&D Complex. As a results, the measures to improve researchers' safety consciousness will be suggested as follows. First, in an environmental aspect, improvement of labs' environment exposed to danger, interest and participation of CEO, regular discussion on the safety in labs, installment of safety equipments in labs, and enlargement of individual labs are necessary. Second, in an educational aspect, the safety education offered by institutes need to be enhanced, experiential safety education fit for the characteristics of research should be applied, the time for safety education must be observed, and the communication among team members through the collective education in department units and safe culture through the campaigns to enhance safety consciousness have to be established. Third, in a systematic aspect, sanctions have to be imposed on the researchers who do not attend safety education, the number of safety supervisors and safety budget of labs should be increased, a safety certification system need to be introduced when a lab is built, the problems in safety have to be open to all departments and rewards for the persons of merit in labs should be extended.
