To accomplish this purpose, The research for the actual condition of management of Environmental Education according to school, grade, and class was progressed. The researcher was analyzed Hindrance Factors of Sound Environmental Education in School and presented some suggestion on the basis of above-mentioned findings. On one side, the method of research is a case study on qualitative based way. A case study was conducted with it's focus on public elementary school in Seoul. As for major research methods, observation by participating in school field and in-depth interview were respectively employed; subsidiary methods included literature study. The findings of this study are as belows: First, Environmental Education was not managed practically with specific way in school. Second, Environmental Education by direct and actual outdoor experience was unusual. Third, most of class school work about Environmental Education was focused on not only the type of prescription after the environmental problem but also, the treatment of articles in newspaper and TV. Forth, educational compulsion such as “you have to do that.” was mainly used as Environmental guidance for sound attitude in school without clear reasons. In the last analysis, hindrance factors of sound management for environmental education in elementary schools were ‘passive adjustment’, ‘discriminative reception’, ‘absence of information resource’. these factors came from atmosphere of negligence environmental education in schools. Therefore, all of teachers have to affirmative belief and attitude as personal dimension and all of elementary schools improve environmental education system.

  • Employability is a critical issue in construction education. Employability is more than students obtaining employment upon graduation. The concept is far more ranging, and should encompass enabling students to acquire the knowledge, personal and professional skills and encouraging attitudes that will support their future development and employment. This paper describes two case studies relating to how the true concept of employability can be incorporated into the construction higher education curriculum. Case study 1 was a collaborative venture with contributions from a higher education provider, employers, students and a professional body (Association of Building Engineers). It outlines the whole process from course inception through to graduation and feedback. Thus it presents a valid model for other higher education providers of construction courses to adapt or adopt. Case study 2 outlines how the opportunity of a degree programme revalidation process was utilized to introduce modules which would enhance students' employability on graduation.

  • In the context of Korean educational research, the number of qualitative research studies has gradually increased since 2000. It has become one of the most important research methods today. The field of math education is no exception to this trend, and qualitative approaches are now becoming one of the main research methods. This increase in qualitative research has contributed to the provision of detailed information about educational practice, but at the same time, the overall level of credibility in the results of qualitative research seems to be lower than that of quantitative research. This study started with the problem consciousness that the number of qualitative studies is increasing in the field of mathematical education, but there is a lack of discussion on the methodology of applying qualitative research methods. In this study, among the papers published in the journal related to mathematical education, papers using a qualitative approach are analyzed focusing on cross-case analysis. Based on the analysis results, the tendency to use qualitative approaches is diagnosed, ways of improving the validity and trustworthiness of qualitative research results in the field of mathematical education are examined, and implications and suggestions are presented.
