  • The purpose of this study was to develop the creative thinking training program(CTTP) focused on a nursing case for registered nurses(RN) working at hospital, and to examine the CTTP's effects on nurses' creative thinking ability and disposition. This quasi-experimental study was conducted on the basis of pre and post-test design with a comparison group for nurses enrolled in registered nurse bachelor science degree program in a University located in Southern area of Korea. The 5 hour-CTTP, including 7 creative activity tasks related to a nursing case, was implemented on 35 RNs of the experimental group from November 21, throughout November 28, 2011. The 39 RNs were participated in this study as a control group. Pre-and post-tests were done with the questionnaire items of the Integrated Creativity Instrument for creative ability and creative disposition. There were significant differences in creative thinking ability(t=3.62, p=001) and creative disposition(t=2.91, p=.01) between the experimental and the control group. The CTTP, developed in this research would contribute to increasing creativity competency for registered nurses.

  • The aim of this study is to examine the regional features of shipbuilding-allied industries comprehensively. Inaddition, this study would offer groundwork to construct spatial networks of shipbuilding-allied industries. Relatively in short term, large modem shipbuilding firms of South Korea have developed under the national strategic support, around southeast coast region. Although small shipbuilding firms and marine equipment firms have supported regional economy, these firms have scaled down their functions and roles due to the national policy. In the long tenn, Korean shipbuilding-allied industries have limitations in stable development, because they have separated their roles. Consequently it is necessary the balanced development of large, medium, and small shipbuilding firms and linkage system with marine equipment firms for overall development of shipbuilding-allied industries. This study suggests two spatial strategy for shipbuilding-allied industries development. First, we need to construct a shipbuilding specialization area which agglomerates competent parts firms adjacent to large shipyards. Second, in national strategy, a long term strategy is required to utilize extremely synergy and external effects induced from a shipbuilding duster of southeast coast region which systematically combines shipbuilding-allied industries, universities, the government authorities, and research institutions.

  • As differences in the impact of each species on a spatial scale occur, analysis at the landscape scale is necessary to evaluate the impact of a development project. In previous studies, the Incidence Function Model (IFM) based on meta population theory was used to analyze the impact of species on the environment that changes according to urban development. However, since the model was required at least 10 occupied areas, it is difficult to use it for species that are difficult to monitor such as endangered species. Therefore, we proposed the Incidence Function Model (IFM) using species distribution model to fill the species data. In addition, we reviewed whether the developed model can be used in environmental impact assessment. As a result of the analysis, the minimum occupancy of Prionailurus bengalensis on urban development decreased to 56.5% and the possibility of survival to 28.7%. We confirmed that It rapidly decreased from the reference points of 230 and 70habitats through analysis of the meta-population capacity according to the decrease in the number of habitats. These results can be assessing the environment impact of each species on habitat loss. And it can support decision-making on the minimum number and area of habitat for species protection. This study is expected to be used as basic data for environment impact assessment on before and after development projects and mitigation measures plans, thereby increasing the effectiveness of reduction plans.

  • This study examined the influence of university students' stress in their daily lives on game addiction, and investigated whether the human relation skills has a moderating effect on their daily life stress. For this study, surveys of 222 university students were collected and analyzed with SPSS 18.0 program. The results of this study are as follows: First, the participants displayed lower human relation skills as the level of stress from the studies increased. In contrast, the participants displayed higher human relation skills as the level of stress from future plans and family relations increased. Second, as the level of game addiction increased, human relation skills were found to be lower. Third, the university students' stress from daily lives had a static effect on game addiction. The participants displayed tendency of game addiction as they had high levels of stress from their studies, financial issues, future plans, values, family relations, and human relations with people apart from their family. Among the listed factors of stress, the stress from the studies most strongly influenced the participants to be addicted to games. Fourth, among the sub-factors of stress in the university students, issues in future plans and family relations significantly control the game addiction. Studies on this area has been insufficient. From the study, it is found that in order to prevent university students to be addicted to games, they must cope well with their stress. Furthermore, this study carries its significance in finding the results that human relation skills contribute as a part of dealing with stress.

  • Telemedicine, which gives or receives medical information via ICT (information and communication technology), is regarded as innovation in a medical field and its application is various according to offline conditions. For example, the utilization of telemedicine in Korea is unfair because of the administrative discretion, which is the basic unit of telemedicine for its practical operation, in spite of the same diagnostic area. With this mind, this study investigates the cause of regional differences of telemedicine through a case of Kangwon province. Furthermore, the crucial matter is that regional differences of telemedicine are associated with digital divide; therefore, this research considers digital divide triggered by telemedicine. The core results are as follows. First, there are little measures such as increase of the staff, economic compensation for public officials, education of telemedicine facilities; accordingly, only regions, where can accept these insufficient conditions, manage the telemedicine system. Second, the interesting of a mayor or a governor and a head of a health center as a highest decision maker has something to do with different utilization of telemedicine. Third, public health doctors play a role as practical operators in telemedicine, but their stance is skeptic about telemedicine somewhat because of the relationship with the medical association opposing the implementation of telemedicine, unimproved regional health care condition, etc. Forth, it seems that the digital divide caused by the regional differences of the present telemedicine utilization does not led to tangible results and is not turned to another disparity so far, the proper measures are required considering that various health care services based on telemedicine will be extended.

  • To comprehend the importance and necessity of record management metadata standard implemented in an electronic medical records system, a survey was undertaken to 50 medical records managers in charge of 5 major hospitals in Seoul. Analysis of the survey results was performed by averaging the responses given by those who answered the survey. SPSS was utilized for statistical analysis. Managers of medical records placed importance on metadata that are related to security of records, such as "levels of security", "types of access to medical records", "levels of authorization granted to personnel", and "users accessing medical records". It shows that these managers need the functions of privacy protection in ERMS. Metadata on "external disclosure" had the lowest level but those surveyed with more than 7 years of experience placed greater importance in this area more those surveyed with less than 7 years of experience in a hospital. This shows that managers need the functions of external disclosure to meet the needs of third partiesfor medical research and medical education.
