Future Design and Success Engineering in Global Society by Creative Self-innovation

  • In this paper, we proposed "Future Design and Success Engineering in Global Society by Self-Innovation" (an abbreviated name: FDSE). We started to make a small experiment between Korea Maritime University and Yamagata University at the current year. After inspecting the results, especially, successful and unsuccessful points in our lecture, we have to develop the strong points and amend the week points, through making the analysis of success-failure, which is his favorite management method. We have to level up the contents of our work in the future. The students for this lecture would learn from experiences of "the common knowledge (common field of discussion)", held common languages, common thought, common system. They filled up the blanks of "The Matrix Frame" which is mentioned in the previous report, and they expressed their own way of life (work, study). As a matter of course, their personal private affairs must not be made public. It is quite happy that the cultural, economical exchanges between Korea and Japan are now in full flourish and people do a lot of traveling each other. However, if this project will start on the educational global standard, we have a world-wide significance. Moreover, we can promote goodwill between Korea and Japan, and also we can contribute to a better international understanding and the peace of the world by students in both Universities. We hope that candidates for this lecture will have a rounded personality and be a life worthy of human being for realizing Self-Actualization in "Motivation and Personality" by Abraham Maslow.

공과대학 신입생의 핵심역량 인식수준을 통한 공학교육방향 연구 (The Study on Proper Way for Engineering University Education: Based on the Perception of Current Competencies and Expected Competencies of Engineering Freshmen)

  • 본 연구는 대학교육을 통하여 획득해야 하는 핵심역량들을 추출하여 공과대학 신입생들이 인식하는 현재의 역량수준과 기대하는 역량수준을 조사하고 공과대학 교육의 방향성을 탐색해 보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 핵심역량에 대한 문헌분석을 통해서, '전공능력', '교양능력', '외국어능력', '기초수학능력', '인간소통능력'의 5가지를 공학교육의 목표와 내용이 되어야 할 핵심 역량으로 추출하였다. 이를 연구도구화 한 뒤, C대학교 공과대학 신입생 584명을 대상으로 핵심역량에 대한 현재인식수준과 기대인식수준을 조사 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 신입생들은 모든 역량에서 현재 역량수준이 낮다고 인식하고 있었으며, 특히 '외국어 역량'에 대한 인식수준이 가장 낮았다. 기대인식수준에 대한 교육요구도 '외국어능력'이 가장 높았고, '전공능력'은 두 번째로 높았다. 둘째, 신입생들의 하위특성을 성별, 고등학교 계열별, 출신고등학교의 지역별, 대학입학전형 유형별, 수능 수리유형별로 차이검증을 실시한 결과, 하위특성별로 현재인식수준과 기대인식수준간에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 연구결과를 토대로, 본 연구는 공과대학 교육의 방향으로 외국어(영어)교육의 강화, 학습자의 하위 특성에 따른 개인차 해소를 위한 다양한 교육프로그램 설계 및 실행, 전공능력뿐 아니라 교양능력 및 인간소통능력의 중요성에 대한 인식 제고와 관련 프로그램의 강화, 교수-학습과정에 대한 피드백 자료 축적을 통한 공학 교육프로그램의 지속적인 수정 보완작업, 공학교육과정과 특별프로그램을 통한 진로교육의 활성화를 제언하였다.

지역적 맥락이 기업가 지향성에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Regional Context on Entrepreneurial Orientation)

  • Purpose: The companies must be located in the area, scale up, create jobs, and return to the local economy. This paper attempted to analyze empirically the relationship between regional context and entrepreneurial orientation(EO) in the region of Korea. Methods: This paper analyzed survey data and regional statistics. We measured EO by region and then examined which regional context affect EO. Regional contexts were measured by population, economic size, budget size, firm size, innovation capacity, and education level. EO was measured by innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness, autonomy, competitive aggressiveness, and need for achievement. Results: EO was high in the region where the budget size per thousand population, the number of manufacturers per thousand population, the number of new corporations per thousand population, the number of R&D personnel per thousand population, and the number of students of higher education institutions per thousand population were high. Conclusion: The implications of this paper are that regional context affect EO, and there are differences in budget scale, firm size, innovation capacity, and education level. In regions with many investment resources for innovation and startups and manufacturers, the number of R&D personnel and students of higher education institutions (future R&D personnel), in particular, determines EO.

  • The new Laplace autoregressive model of order 2-NLAR92) studied by Dewald and Lewis (1985) is extended to the p-th order model-NLAR(p). A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of an innovation sequence and a stationary ergodic NLAR(p) model is obtained. It is shown that the distribution of the innovation sequence is given by the probabilistic mixture of independent Laplace distributions and a degenrate distribution.

Establishment of Chosun University's Lifelone Education Support System for the Individuals with Disabilities: Department-Led Educational Innovation

  • The purpose This study was conducted to explore the procedures and plans to establish a university-based lifelong education support system for the individuals with disabilities at Chosun University. The research method consisted of expert consultation. Chosun University not only has various units of major(department) that can deepen and integrate knowledge and technology related to lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities, but also has various leadership and various infrastructures that can lead the practice of lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities in Gwangju and Jeonnam areas. The contents of this study were presented five procedures and plans such as the establishment of maintenance and convergence of majors (departments) units, the development and operation of department-led regional-linked education programs through extracurricular education, the introduction of majors in connection with extracurricular education program-linked courses, the selection of core departments, the establishment of cooperative courses between university and graduate schools, and the establishment and operation of lifelong education programs for the individuals with disabilities centered on lifelong education centers. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the academic foundation of lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities, the guarantee of educational opportunities for the individuals with disabilities, and the lead of linkage between local related organizations can be expected through the establishment of the support system for lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities at Chosun University.

전공기초교육 프로그램 만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석 (Effect Analysis of Factors on Satisfaction of Fundamental Education for Major Course Learning)

  • This study investigates significant factors regarding college freshman engineering students and analyses each factors influence on student satisfaction in the College of Engineering core curriculum. We carried out a survey targeting 505 students who completed their fundamental education for major course learning in the 2011 academic year while attending one college in Gwangju and ruled out inadequate respondents. A total sample size 437 students were analyzed. The seven independent variables are academic fees, academic term period, academic environment of the classroom, learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity and student need for the program. The dependent variable is fundamental education satisfaction level. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the following factors were found to be significant in the following order: learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity, student need for the program, academic fees and academic environment of the classroom. On the other side academic term period was not significant. For improving fundamental education satisfaction, there is a need for prudent consideration regarding learning material development and lecture times. Also further investigation should take place for policies necessary for increasing learner motivation and sincerity, and expand appropriate conditions for learners to become self-aware of the education they need within their major.

대학의 기업가정신교육이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향: 팀기반학습의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of University Entrepreneurship Education on Innovation Behavior: Focusing on Moderating Effect of Team-Based Learning)

  • 혁신을 위한 대학의 학습은 새로운 기회창출을 극대화하는데 중요성을 둔다. 즉, 대학은 기업가정신 교육을 통하여 학생들이 잠재적인 기회를 발견하여 새로운 사회와 산업의 발전에 중요한 역할을 해야 한다는 새로운 의미로 실시되고 있다. 현재의 기업가정신교육 프로그램은 급변하는 환경에 대한 다양한 시각에서 개발되고 진행되고 있지만, 보다 전문적이고 체계적인 기업가정신교육 프로그램을 개발할 필요성에 대한 인식이 높아지며 필요성에 대한 강조만으로는 충분하지 않다는 주장이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 혁신적인 아이디어를 창출하고 실현하는 혁신행동에 영향을 미치는 인지능력 요소들과 이러한 요소들에 영향을 주는 팀기반학습의 유용성을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 실증적 연구 분석결과 자기주도학습능력과 문제해결능력은 혁신행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 문제해결능력은 자기주도학습능력의 부분매개로서 혁신행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기업가정신교육에서의 팀기반학습은 문제해결능력 및 자기주도학습능력과 혁신행동간의 관계에 조절효과로 유익하게 나타났으며, 팀기반학습의 네가지 요소를 잘 진행한 경우 문제해결능력에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 기업가정신교육에서의 팀기반학습 교수법에 대한 효율성과 활용을 제시하고자 한다.

대학 교양교육 혁신을 위한 핵심역량 기반 교양 교육과정 개편에 대한 연구 -C 대학 사례를 중심으로 (A study on the reform of the liberal arts curriculum based on key competencies for the innovation of liberal arts education in Universities)

  • 4차 산업혁명의 21세기는 산업화 시대에서 요구하던 것과는 다른 '역량'을 새로운 교육적 개념으로 요구하고 있다. 대학에서는 사회의 이러한 변화와 요구에 따라 교양 및 전공 교육에서 기존의 방식을 탈피하여 핵심역량 기반교육과 이를 통한 교육의 혁신을 요구받고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 대학들은 다양한 재정지원사업을 위해 교양교육을 전면적으로 개편하여 제시하고 있다. 본 연구는 대학 교양교육 혁신을 위한 교양 교육과정 개편에 대해 C 대학의 사례를 제시하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 각 대학들은 대학의 설립이념에 따라 다양한 핵심역량을 제시하고 교양교육 측면에서 핵심역량 강화를 유도할 수 있는 방법으로 교양교육과정을 개편하고 있다. C 대학의 핵심역량 기반 교양 교육과정을 위해 부족한 핵심역량 과목을 개발하여 제안하였고, 교양교육 특성화를 위해 다양한 마이크로디그리를 제안하였으며, 학생들의 기초학습능력 향상을 위한 메타학습 관련 교양 교과목을 제시하였다.

누가 '산업체 수요 조사'를 수요하는가? : 추격형 수요기반 공학교육의 역설 (Who demands the Survey of Industry Demand?: Paradox of Demand-Based Engineering Education Under Catch-up Paradigm)

  • In Korea, engineering education based on industry demand is highly emphasized; the survey of industry demand or company satisfaction is frequently conducted. Although engineering schools have often attempted and implemented the reform of engineering education, it was found that company satisfaction with college education was always low. In this context, this study aimed to find the cause of the low satisfaction. To this end, the social background for the active survey of industry demand and company satisfaction, and its progress were investigated. The findings of this study showed that the survey of industry demand in Korea has limitations in improving the quality of college education or developing its future demand, contrary to its intention. This industry demand based approach has its historical and social root in the Korea-specific model of the catching-up style industry development and technology innovation. Therefore, it is difficult to establish appropriate academy-industry relations and discover future vision based on this model. This study presents a new way to understand and develop the future-oriented industrial and social demand, not just arguing for the uselessness of the survey of industry demand in engineering education.
