The Formation of Managerial Competence of the Future Head of Preschool Education by Means of Information and Communication Technologies

  • The article deals with the formation of managerial competence of the future head of preschool education institution by means of information and communication technology as a prerequisite for his ability to act competently and objectively evaluate actions and understand the interaction of forms and content of preschool education. The article aimed to study the effectiveness of information and communication technologies in the formation of managerial competence of the future head of preschool education institution. To achieve the objectives, the methods of comparative and systematic analysis were used to compare different views on the problem under study, namely, the formation of managerial competence of the future head of preschool education institution by means of information and communication technologies. The authors of the article determined that the use of information and communication technologies in the preparation of future heads of preschool educational institutions is of great importance and is an indicator in the structure of managerial competence. The priority directions of the use of various software products for the study of the modern Ukrainian language, methods of teaching the Ukrainian language contribute to the intensification of learning material. It is noted that the current state of development of information technologies and their widespread use in education satisfies the requirements of the objectivity of the assessment obtained the quality of the control process of forming the managerial competence of the future leader in the context of the general problems of pre-school education. It is noted that the means of information and communication technologies play a leading role in creating new educational policies and projects, as they motivate the way of access to knowledge.

  • According to the presentation of the new national curriculum, this study aims to analyze teacher's perceptions of the information education for lower grade students in elementary school. Before conducting survey, analyzing overseas and domestic researches were preceded. The questionnaires were collected by an online survey of 166 incumbent elementary school teachers after verification by an expert group. As a result, contrary to the basis of the information education curriculum to be strengthened, teacher's stagnant negative perceptions could be confirmed through various measurement variables. Before the introduction of a new national curriculum in 2024, it is a time when efforts to improve teacher's perceptions of information education for lower graders are particularly necessary.

  • The article considers current information technologies in the organization of educational work in secondary schools in Great Britain. The forms and types of organization of educational work in secondary schools of Great Britain with the help of modern information technologies are covered. The purposes of education with the help of modern information technologies are singled out. Mental, physical, labor, moral, aesthetic and other types of education, merged in a holistic educational process, provide an opportunity to achieve the main goal - the formation of a comprehensive and harmoniously developed personality. All forms of educational work have their pedagogical significance, and each of them is valuable in the process of education. Democratization and partnership development are the leading principles of education in British schools at the present stage; multiculturalism and student independence. This is the ability to promote the role of different types of education, such as: labor, moral, legal, religious, family, environmental, aesthetic, civic, physical, mental education, which is now possible with the help of current information technology.   • Design factors such as design objects establishment, analysis, synthesis, production, test and evaluation should be educated in a systematic way. Also design ability to reflect practical restrictive conditions such as industrial standards, economic feasibility, environmental impact, aesthetics, safety and reliability, ethical impacts and social impacts should be cultivated. In this paper, we explain the meaning of these terms and propose a systematic engineering design education framework satisfying Korean engineering education accreditation criteria. We also present a simple implementation in information network engineering.

  • There has been a lot of growth more than 10% in the information security industry. In accordance with the industrial growth, it increased needs for the information security manpower development as a national problem. But there is an imbalance between demand and supply of the information security manpower in terms of the quantity and quality. It is mainly caused by the curriculum of the information security is made considering for suppliers not for demanders. As a resolution to solve this problem, we suggest the curriculum of information security for vocational education and training. As the information security area is wide in view of required knowledge and technology, we design the curriculum by selecting major occupation type from the information security manpower distribution and products and then by investigating the job description using NCS(National Competency Standard). And we compared the curriculum to that of two or three year diploma courses in Korea.

  • This study suggests ameliorated Library and Information Science education, and its curriculum for education of national subject specialists. For that purpose, this study investigates and compares four internal universities, three American universities along with the figures of the present and future subjects to face updated educational plans and prepare to become a new information specialist at ALA(American Library Association), ALISE(Association for Library and Information Science Education), and other agents. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for training 'subject specialist' in the university curriculum.

  • This short survey article examines the current curricula for library and information science education in the U. S. in order to implement them for our professional education in the field in Korea so as to produce qualified and competent graduates. Some of the prevailing trends in education and training for information professionals in the U. S. are as follows: 1. Library schools tend to incorporate information science into library school curricula to reflect their emphasis on this area, and attempt to develop close ties with all segments of the information industry; 2. Library schools actively participate in cooperative research with other agencies to explore ways of solving problems; 3. There is a diversity of education and training programs to meet the needs of a wide variety of information professionals, with library school faculty members being drawn from a wide range of scholarly disciplines; 4. New methods of teaching are being developed to support research and instructional activities; 5. There has been a significant change in the composition of the student body, now given a strong voice in the administration of the library school.

  • This paper is directed for the information security education of the elementary students. The dependence on human involvement and human behavior to protect information assets necessitates an information security education to make the awareness of their roles and responsibilities towards information security. The information security education is needed even to elementary school students. The information security learning model integrating knowledge, attitudes, and ways to practice was developed, and the teaching plan and learning material hand-out were accordingly made out. As the test result analysis, it was verified that the developed teaching tools of elementary network security learning using gamification mechanism was effective to help the students learn the knowledge, attitudes, skills and ways to practice.

  • The purpose of the paper is to define a sample form for the evaluation of educational software in information age. The evaluation of educational software is not easy task for teachers, parents, and students. Therefore, this paper examined the characteristics of educational software evaluation, analyzed OTA form and KMEC guideline, and finally presented a sample evaluation form for teachers, parents, and students.
