Purpose: Despite the popularity of sales promotion as one of the key marketing tactics employed by many companies today, relatively little effort has been devoted to examining an interaction effect between promotion cues and promotion duration. Therefore, this study aims to examine how promotion cues and promotion duration will jointly affect consumers' attitudes toward promotions and purchase intentions. Research design, data, and methodology: The present study conducted an online experiment through the Qualtrics program in which a total of 141 participants were recruited from the Cloud panel members in the U.S. The experiment employed a 2(promotion cue: best-seller vs. limited edition) × 2(promotion duration: long vs. short) full factorial between-subjects design. Result: In the condition of best-selling sales promotion cue, a long promotion duration induced more positive promotion attitude and higher purchase intention, while in the condition of limited-edition sales promotion cue, the use of a short promotion duration contributed more positive promotion attitude and greater purchase intention. Conclusions: Marketers need to take the congruence between promotion cues and promotion duration into full consideration when designing effective sales promotion strategy.

이 논문은 고려 초조대장경 조조의 가치와 의미를 도출하기 위하여 시도된 연구이다. 연구의 방법은 1) 초조대장경의 조조(雕造)는 거란의 침략을 물리치기 위한, 즉 '진병대장경(鎭兵大藏經): 거란과의 전쟁을 진압한 대장경'이라는 측면에서의 구체적인 증거와 발원지(發源地) 및 발원일(發願日)을 규명함으로써 그 가치와 의미를 더욱 명확하게 부여하고자 하였다. 2) 형태서지학적인 측면에서의 초조대장경 판본의 특징을 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 초조대장경의 목판 판각에 있어서 중국 개보칙판대장경의 인쇄본을 단순하게 복각(復刻)한 것이 아닌, 이른바 독창적이고 탁월한 예술성(藝術性)을 지니고 있다는 점에서 형태서지학적인 가치와 의미가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 3) 체계서지학적인 측면에서의 초조대장경의 편성 내용을 분석하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 초조대장경의 편성에는 중국 역대의 모든 불전목록을 빠짐없이 편입한 것으로 보아, 문종시대 이후의 초조대장경의 편성에는 개개 불전 또한 목록학적(目錄學的)인 철저한 검증을 거쳐서 대장경에 편입시켰을 것이라는 점에서 보면, 포괄성(包括性)과 누적성(累積性)을 지닌 체계서지학적인 가치와 의미가 있음을 파악하였다.

본 논문에서는 스마트폰 미들웨어 및 기본 응용 프로그램으로 구성된 임베디드 리눅스 기반의 스마트폰 에디션의 구현에 대해 기술한다. 기존의 스마트폰 플랫폼들은 상용화 시 로열티를 지불해야 하고, 소스 코드가 공개되어 있지 않아 기능 확장의 문제점이 있었다. 임베디드 리눅스 기반의 GPE는 상용화 시 로열티 문제점은 해결하지만, PDA 급 장치들을 목표로 개발되어 스마트폰과 같은 작은 LCD 크기 및 키 입력만으로 응용 프로그램을 수행할 수 없는 문제점이 있었다. 구현된 Qplus-P스마트폰 에디션에서는 임베디드 리눅스 기반으로 개발되어 로열티가 없으며, 사용자가 키 입력만으로 폴더 이동 및 특정 응용 프로그램을 수행할 수 있는 키 네비게이션 기능을 제공한다. 그리고, 기존의 셀룰러폰과 유사한 화면 구조 및 인디케이터를 제공함으로써 사용자가 보다 편리하게 스마트폰 에디션을 사용할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다.

이 연구는 DDC의 발전과정을 분석한 후, 이를 바탕으로 DDC 초판부터 최신판인 제21판까지 농학분야의 변천과정에 대해 판별 전개내용과 세목들의 형성과정을 중심으로 비교 분석하고자 시도된 것이다. 1876년 DDC 초판이 발행된 이후 농학분야의 분류항목은 많은 변화와 함께 발전을 이루어 왔으며, 특히 1900년대 초기인 제8판, 제10판, 제12판 등에서 항목의 신설과 대폭적인 하위항목의 세분이 이루어져 이때 농학분야의 분류체계가 완성되어 졌다고 볼 수 있다. 그후 농학의 기술적 진보와 함께 새로운 분류항목들이 개정판마다 지속적으로 반영되어 오늘에 이르고 있다. DDC 초판이후 오늘에 이르기까지 가장 큰 변화는 유를 달리하여 항목이 이치된 것이라고 할 수 있는데, 농업경제학은 제17판부터 631.1에서 경제학의 하위요목인 338.1로 이치되어 갔으며, 수의학은 제15판부터 의학의 하위요목인 619에서 636.089로 이치되어 왔다. 특히 농업경제학은 오늘날 농학계에서 중요한 하위 분과학의 하나로 다루고 있는 점에 비춰보면, 농학에서 경제학으로 이치된 것이 지금도 논란이 되고 있다.

Purpose: The aims of this study were to compare the 7th and 8th editions of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging manuals on tumor, node, and metastasis (TNM) staging systems and to evaluate whether the 8th edition represents a better refinement of the 7th staging system, when applied for the classification of gastric cancers. Materials and Methods: A total of 5,507 gastric cancer patients, who underwent treatment from January 1989 to December 2013 at a single institute, were included. We compared patient survival rates across the disease groups classified according to the 7th and 8th editions of the AJCC TNM staging systems. Results: Stage migration was observed in 6.4% (n=355) of the patients. Of these, 3.5% (n=192) and 2.9% (n=158) of patients showed a higher stage and lower stage, respectively. According to the 8th edition of the AJCC TNM staging criteria, the 5-year overall survival rates of the patients with stage IIIB and IIIC showed a significant difference (40.8% vs. 20.2%, P<0.001) whereas no significant differences in the 5-year overall survival rates were observed according to the 7th edition criteria (37.6% vs. 33.2%, P=0.381). Conclusions: Restaging stage III cancers according to the 8th edition of the AJCC TNM classification criteria improved survival rate discrimination, particularly, in institutes where the stage III patients were not distinctly categorized.

최근 VR 기술이 점차 발전하면서 다양한 가상현실 게임이 상업화되고 있다. 특히 사용자들에게 인기 있는 다양한 대형 3D 온라인 게임들이 VR 게임으로 변화하기 시작했다. 은 대형 3D 웹캐스트 의 파생 게임으로서, 2018년 4월 Steam 게임 플랫폼에 발표되었고, 독창적인 UI 디자인으로 사용자의 몰입식 체험을 극대화하여 VR 게임 선두 자리를 굳건히 지키고 있다. 과 게임의 시각적 유사성이 높지만, UI에서 나타나는 시각 요소에는 큰 차이를 보이고 있다. 본 논문은 게임에서 몰입감을 높이기 위한 캐릭터, 장면, UI Design, 색상 및 폰트의 시각적 UI 요소에 대해 연구하였으며, 향후 신형 VR 게임의 몰입식 체험을 위한 독창적인 인터페이스 디자인에 대하여 연구하였다.

This study set out to examine the variant forms in the Korean block-printed edition of YouYangZaZu(酉陽雜俎)n terms of modifications of writing forms, increase and decrease of strokes, shortening and lengthening of strokes, connection and interruption of strokes, replacement of Pyeonbang(偏旁), and changing structures and positions. The study also aims to investigate the frequent uses and characteristics of variant forms. The findings show that the variant forms of YouYangZaZu(酉陽雜俎) include characters in some parts. There are 1,500 variant forms in the Korean block-printed edition of YouYangZaZu(酉陽雜俎)ith numerous characters of both various modifications and increasing or decreasing strokes based on the same characters. There are mixed uses of block letters and variant forms throughout the book from a single form to ten different forms of a character.

Objectives : The Wenyilun is the first specialized text on warm disease, written by Wuyouke from the Ming period in 1642. Methods : This paper examines the newly discovered manuscript of the Wenyilun called the Yeonreungjip, focusing on its bibliography and content. In addition, the original script of the Yeonreungjip was studied philologically. Results : 1. The Yeonreungjip was transcribed in the early 20th century. 2. The Jongbaegmuusan formula is a tried and tested prescription unique to Korea. 3. The original script of the Yeonreungjip is affiliated with the Chinese Liuchang edition. It is uncertain when this edition was introduced to Korea. 4. The contents of the Yeonreungjip referenced the Siququanshu edition series. Conclusions : In conclusion, the Yeonreungjip is the only transcribed version of the specialized Chinese warm disease text from the Joseon period that is known today. Its implication in the research of warm disease introduction to Korea is manifold.

Most traditional newspaper publishers provide online editions to counter the competition of online news providers. However, the relationship between the online and print editions of the same newspaper has not been clearly defined. Some see the online newspaper as a substitute, while others consider it a complement. A 2002 NAA online newspaper consumer survey indicated that one-third of its respondents said they were now using the print newspaper less. Others have argued that the online edition will not wipe out print consumption, and may even complement it. While the print edition offers particular advantages such as portability, less eye strain, and the tactile experience of a printed page, the online edition also offers specific advantages such as access to breaking news, continually updated information, access to old archives, etc. All these factors would tend to lower the degree of interchangeability between the products. However, recent empirical studies show that the online edition is a substitute for rather than a complement of the print edition. Still, to some print readers, the online edition provides additional value. In this paper, by capturing the two different aspects of online editions the substitute aspect and the additional value added aspect as well as other available online alternatives, we develop an analytical model to derive the optimal production and distribution strategies of both online and print editions. Confronting the "free versus fee" issue, we show that it is optimal to provide an online version of the print newspaper for free to non-print subscribers. However, the amount of free news content that the publishers need to put on the Web depends on the available alternatives on the online market. The "fee" and "free" options both have merits and demerits as well. If the publisher charges for the online version of the print newspaper, she can generate revenue from the fee charged to online readers. However, doing so will limit the size of the online audience and further reduce online advertising revenue. At the same time, by providing a high-quality online version and charging for it, the price of the print newspaper must stay low in order to lure high valued readers. On the contrary, if the publisher provides an online version of the print newspaper for free, she can obtain a larger audience for the online version. At the same time, by providing a low-quality online newspaper, the publisher can increase the print newspaper price to get more revenue from high valued offline readers, although no revenue is incoming from online version readers. Through systematic measuring of all the pros and cons, our analysis shows that the optimal option is not "fee" but "free."

1. Objective: This literary review investigates Lee Jema's clinical experiences with Soyang-type patients and their influence on his conceptualization of the Soyang physiology and pathology. 2. Methods: 1) The case reports in "Soyang constitutional type: Spleen Cold-based Exterior-Cold disease" were compared before and after the Sinchuk revision to explore the temporal change in the Sasang medical concepts. 2) The texts in Donguisusebowon (Gabo edition) and Donguisusebowon (Sasangchobongwon) were analyzed to investigate the pathological concepts appearing before the completion of the Donguisusebowon (Gabo edition). 3) The texts in Donguisusebowon (Sinchuk edition) was analyzed to investigate the pathological concepts formed between the Gabo and Sinchuk editions of Donguisusebowon. 3. Results and Conclusions: 1) Gabo edition : The Gabo edition divided the External-origin Exterior disease into Cold-dominant (Heat-moderate) and Heat-dominant (Cold-moderate) patterns and differentiated the severity of Exterior-based Exterior disease and Interior-based Interior disease into mild, moderate, severe, and critical conditions. Cold-damage Delirium disease pattern was categorized as an Interior-based Interior disease, and the treatment protocol using Baekho-tang (Baihu-tang) was established. The stool condition and bowel movement reflecting the patient's defecation habits, the prime indicator of health in the Soyang constitutional type, were emphasized on their importance. 2) Sinchuk edition: The Delirium disease pattern was moved into the Exterior-cold disease, and the treatment protocol applying Jihwangbaekho-tang (Dihuangbaihu-tang) and Hyeongbangsabaek-san (Jingfangxiebai-san), with variational usage of Gypsum, was newly established. The Seong-Jeong and basal disease patterns were suggested as important factors in treating the patients. Also, it was proposed that the symptoms and signs reflecting the condition of the life-preserving energy be assessed to understand the patient's current condition. The importance of post-acute rehabilitation and aftercare as well as the most appropriate acute-stage treatment were emphasized.
