Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) was first published in 1876. Since its first edition it has been revised, on an average, 6 years, and now it has become the widely used library classification system of which the scheme was translated in various languages. The purpose of this study is to find out the chief causes for the development of the DDC. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1. It allows materials to be shelved in a relative location as the collection expands. before the DDC was introduced, libraries used a fixed location for materials in which each item was assigned to a certain location set aside for a subject. 2. It is a practical system. The fact that it has survived many storms in the past hundred years and is still the most widely used classification scheme in the world today attests to its practical value. 3. The pure notation of arabic numerals is universally recognizable. People from any cultural or language background can adapt to the system easily. 4. The use of the decimal system enable infinite expansion and sub-division. And it has adaptability for use in libraries of various size and kinds because of its hierarchically expressive notation which permits varying degrees of inclusiveness and exclusiveness within its decimal structure. 5. The notation is simple and easily understood. The self-evident numerical sequence facilitates filing and shelving. And the mnemonic nature of the notation helps the readers to memorize and recognize the class numbers. 6. The relative index brings together different aspects of the same subject scattered in different disciplines. 7. We can avail of DDC numbers for specific titles easily because of its use by many central bibliographic services. 8. It is being continuously revised by a permanent office established in the library of congress in 1933. This office has been responsible for editing all editions of the DDC since the 16th (1958). And the periodic revision at regular intervals ensures the currentness of the scheme. 9. It has adaptability both for conventional (manual) shelf or classed catalogue analysis and also, through its meaningful nation, for retrieval through mechanization and computerized systems.

As knowledge is now being distributed and shared through the Internet not only in the form of text but also in that of video, UCC (User Created Content) knowledge video sharing services have emerged on the Internet such as Instructables.com. This paper deals with a UCC knowledge video service in real world and reports the case of analyzing its customer model. The knowledge video sharing service can be considered as both a kind of discontinuous innovation, which requires knowledge provider's technical ability of creating and editing UCC video, and a value network, which matches UCC providers and consumers therefore brings network effect, we first adopt the Chasm theory as the base of the customer model and refine the customer model referencing the Technographics, which is also an Internet-refinement of the Chasm model. Finally, non-customer analysis of Blue Ocean strategy is applied for exploring potential customers of the service.

As major industries become information -centered, business transactions and information -sharing processes are being computerized and automated, which ultimately re-defines electronic commercial transactions in a broader context. Business documents are the basic tools for corporate transactions. The use of business documents in electronic commercial transactions has increased markedly and this sphere is rapidly being extended to include information sharing between companies. XML(extensible Markup Language) was selected as the focus for this thesis. XML can help to make a complicated and data-rich document easy to share. The thesis proposes a business XML document editing system, comprised of a style document editor for business XM document structure, business documentation, and business document presentation, along with a business document transformation system which makes a transformation possible regardless of platform or using various corporate document standards.

The technology and concept of multimedia expands with the rapid growth of Digital technology. Digital broadcasting has already begun and movie industry is also switching the way of visualization from analog to digital. Image compositing is the core of the computer graphics related multimedia technology. Currently, various computer graphic technologies are being developed. Nevertheless, image compositing are being done manually because of not only the expensiveness image compositing equipments, but also the lack of experts in this area. This paper present a new image compositing technique for 3-Dimensional graphics and digital sources. A 2-Dimensional subject which will be used as a background was expanded into a 3-Dimensional by using the tracking technique. Thereafter, Effective image compositing has been obtained by precisely cooperating digital source images and 3-Dimensional model using 3-Dimensional graphics editing tool.

Appliciltion systems focusing class units, as component abstraction based on source code, has insufficient benefit of independency and reuse of elements. Only few effects are acquired, because it is only inclined implementation. We need design pattern to represent not only the problem abstraction but also information and relationship between system elements for generic solutions of specific domain Also, it is essential to software reverse engineering to catch the correct system through examming the cxisting system and utilizing the acquired knowledges as reusable resource. Namely, software reverse engineering for extracting the design pattern is very important because it improves the understand ability for system analysis and design through extracting the design structure of object-oriented system, and provides rich and high leIel reusabilitv through grasping the standard idioms and relationships between components. In this paper, we defined the extraction algorithm for design patterns with standardized, packaged and quantitative measlIIul thruugh applying reyerse engineering into existing ubject Olicnted system. And we designed the reengineering toul including reverse engineering for autumatic extractiun of design patterns ami reuse fur retrieval. editing and rebuilding oi design patterns. Also we applied the algorithms into Java applications.

In order to represent a play script using XML, a DTD has been defined and used on the web. However, it is not easy to make XML scripts using text editors for a writer who is not familiar with XML. Moreover, editors do not help actor/actresses use XML scripts for practicing plays. In this research, we develop a syntax-directed XML editor designed for writing XML scripts easily. Also, we implement a system that help actor/actresses practice plays together with multi-clients. Play events are synchronized by a time server synchronizing clocks of participants. We have evaluated the performance of various event implementation techniques through experiments and have used an appropriate technique for synchronizing play events. By using the system, a play writer can easily make an XML script and actor/actresses practice the play using the script.

In recent years, as near-duplicate image has been increasing explosively by the spread of Internet and image-editing technology that allows easy access to image contents, related research has been done briskly. However, BoF (Bag-of-Feature), the most frequently used method for near-duplicate image detection, can cause problems that distinguish the same features from different features or the different features from same features in the quantization process of approximating a high-level local features to low-level. Therefore, a post-verification method for BoF is required to overcome the limitation of vector quantization. In this paper, we proposed and analyzed the performance of a post-verification method for BoF, which converts SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) descriptors into 128 bits binary codes and compares binary distance regarding of a short ranked list by BoF using the codes. Through an experiment using 1500 original images, it was shown that the near-duplicate detection accuracy was improved by approximately 4% over the previous BoF method.

To get an implication for desirable direction for Collaboration between Reporter & Producer, I found that had 4 modes of collaboration such as, Producer System, Reporter System, Double Reporting System, Co-Work System, and each was distinguished by field cover, on-mic, editing, writing. Producer system and Reporter system got no chemical synergy because of simple array of single reports due to physical assemble. The achievements of collaboration was birth of new news which had different duration, visual, sound & perspective. It also offered fertile soil for new program and genre literacy of 8 o'clock news. The success factor of collaboration was surprisingly turned out to be personnel rather than system. The balance of reporter & producer was also good factor. But the wall between 2 groups was so high that, after disappearance of extraordinary leader, system began to crumble and at last program was repealed.

Through this thesis, I intended to analyze superhero action thriller through that achieved in art and box office after the film release. I would to access about it centering around directing viewpoint. of Christoper Nolan is evaluate as 'upgraded excellent action thriller'that have remarkable theme and excellent visual. Analysis of directing'll classify both contents and form. See about contents... theme of existential dilemma about the good and the evel, characters who is grew more powerful, and deeper than Batman series in old times. the fifth plot, especially dramatic plot by Joker's game, and various irony and motif. About form... efficient use of IMAX camera, prominence of action directing about car chase and fighting... better editing and music and art than former super hero series. The most important merit of is it's a philosophical theme. It is dipicted very seriously and successfully. First of all, the film has more advanced technique power and new directing style.

This study aims to assure the positive influence of publishing English newspapers on improving English communicative ability and explores possibilities of enforcing an explicitly collaborative and independent learning atmosphere through a cooperative project-based publishing process. The project of publishing first KSA English newspapers has completed with a series of processes adopted from project-based learning and teaching strategies. The project involves the initiative process of selecting student editors based on their English abilities and commitment levels followed by planning subjects, themes and materials, distributing tasks and articles, and integrating and editing the outcome. Throughout the whole process volunteers participated independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision. The survey shows that the successfully published English Newspaper resulted in facilitating volunteers' positive self awareness and independent learning attitude as well as improving general English ability. The study discusses possibilities and advantages of publishing newspapers and magazines not for limited language education only, but for integrated project-based learning and teaching with suggestions for further related studies.
