Video Generation Algorithm for Remote Lecture Recording Tools (원격 강의용 콘텐츠 제작 도구를 위한 동영상 생성 알고리즘)

  • On-Line Lectures are becoming more common due to the MOOK service and the expansion of national policy in Korea. Especially, It is being changed to new remote mixed style from traditional lecture in universities. We propose and implement a remote contents making tool with audio synchronization function based on more with less resources. To implement our proposed algorithm, we design an interactive interface to assign multiple cutting intervals and convert an input video to print a new result. In experimental, we can confirm our algorithm works properly with average performance value 9.3% cpu share ratio and 87mega byte ram usage(CPU 2.60GHz, 820*600 Area).

  • We describe here the research work concerning the development of the CAPP(computer aided process planning) system, named BLOCK. designed to support block division of ship. The system consists of the expert system part generating block division lines, and their evaluation and editing one. As a reasoning approach of expert system, the case-based reasoning is used. The division lines can be graphically edited and the satisfaction measure of block division can be checked up in the evaluation stage with separate window. The expert system is developed by using NEXPERT Object development tool in the workstation. Currently the target ship is VLCC.

  • The composition of the 'The Game Story' should reflect the game play and development environment. To do that, I borrowed a coordinate format called 'Spatio-temporal Coordinate Array' that was not based on text-based storytelling. I wanted to create a way for the story to describe relationship between 'action' based on time and 'object' based on space. One way to do this was to analyze the concepts using a mystery game in which Spatio-temporal Array is a large role in user's decision-making. As a result, I found that the method -Spatio-temporal coordinates- was an editor containing game play, and a setting tool capable of being used as a conceptual diagram.

  • In this paper, we propose a time relation model among media with the concept of time and space under hypermedia environments. The model explains time relations of node proceedings among media by time and proceedings among media connected with link. Using this model, hypermedia system which constructs dynamic nodes with time proceeding is designed and implemented. And this hypermedia system provides editing tool and controllers to edit dynamic node information, link tool to construct associative relations among nodes and navigaton tool to do node movement freely, various time controls and node proceedings.

BioCC: An Openfree Hypertext Bio Community Cluster for Biology

  • We present an openfree hypertext (also known as wiki) web cluster called BioCC. BioCC is a novel wiki farm that lets researchers create hundreds of biological web sites. The web sites form an organic information network. The contents of all the sites on the BioCC wiki farm are modifiable by anonymous as well as registered users. This enables biologists with diverse backgrounds to form their own Internet bio-communities. Each community can have custom-made layouts for information, discussion, and knowledge exchange. BioCC aims to form an ever-expanding network of openfree biological knowledge databases used and maintained by biological experts, students, and general users. The philosophy behind BioCC is that the formation of biological knowledge is best achieved by open-minded individuals freely exchanging information. In the near future, the amount of genomic information will have flooded society. BioGG can be an effective and quickly updated knowledge database system. BioCC uses an opensource wiki system called Mediawiki. However, for easier editing, a modified version of Mediawiki, called Biowiki, has been applied. Unlike Mediawiki, Biowiki uses a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) text editor. BioCC is under a share-alike license called BioLicense (http://biolicense.org). Visual Thinking Tools in Enhancing ESL Students' Writing Ability

  • Writing is a difficult skill for many people, both for children and adult alike and generally most people find it difficult to write down their thoughts effectively. Numerous studies have revealed that teachers find it frustrating to teach writing and many failed to help ESL students develop their writing ability. The theoretical emphasis on process oriented writing instruction has, in general brought about positive changes in the way writing is taught and has become widely accepted in the teaching of English as a second or foreign language (ESL/EFL). Although the interpretation and implementation of the process approach varies considerably from instructor to instructor, nevertheless, the emphasis on process writing has brought about significant and beneficial changes in teachers' orientations to writing. Despite the theoretical recognition of writing as a recursive process, many ESL/EFL classrooms continue to teach writing as a linear sequence of planning, pre-writing, writing, revising and editing and has not enhanced ESL/EFL students writing ability to the desired level. There appears to be a missing link in helping students to crystallize their thoughts before writing. Studies have shown that incorporating visual thinking tools into the process approach of ESL writing can enhance students' ability to write. This paper reports the findings of an exploratory study on the effects of using visual thinking tools in enhancing ESL students writing.

$SR^2DBS$: 시간 지원 데이터베이스 시스팀에 관한 연구

  • 최근의 데이터 베이스 응용분야에 있어서 시간에 따른 정보의 변화를 유지관리할 필요성이 대두되고 대용량의 기억장치 가격의 급속한 감소와 함께 이의 이용 기술이 향상되면서 시간주기에 따라 실세계의 상태에 대한 변경과정을 표현하는 시간 즉, 데이터의 변경이력을 지원하는 데이터베이스(Terporal Database)에 관심이 집중되고 있으며, 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위한 여러 방법들이 연구되고 있다. 일반적으로 시간 지원 데이터베이스 모델은 지원되는 시간의 형태에 따라 Static, Static Rollback, Historical, Temporal, Revision 데이터베이스 모델로 나뉘어진다. 본 논문에서는 시간 및 변경이력을 지원하기 위한 데이터베이스 모델과 이를 위한 데이터베이스 시스템의 주요 설계 Issue들에 관하여 조사분석한 다음, Static Rollback 데이터베이스 모델을 기본으로 하는 "$SR^2DBS$: 시간 지원 데이터베이스 시스팀"의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 기술하였다. $SR^2DBS$은 기존의 관계형 데이터 베이스 시스팀"의 모델을 시간 애트리뷰트를 추가시킴으로서 데이터 베이스의 변경이력관리를 가능케 한 Direct Manipulation Database Processing System으로 데이터베이스의 현상태 뿐만 아니라 시간에 따른 변경이력에 대해서 Screenoriented Relation Browsing & Editing 기능을 제공하며, 다음과 같은 특징을 갖는다. - Screen oriented Processing - Directi-Manipulation of Objects - Object & Revision History of Interest Visibility - Rapid Reversible Actions - Transaction Time & Revision Number Supporting - Roll-back Query Supporting - Han-gul Data Supporting - Two level Storage Structure(Current Version & History Versions)

  • 오늘날 폰트를 디자인하는데 주로 사용되는 외곽선 방식은 글자의 크기를 손쉽게 변경할 수 있으나 글자의 굵기나 스타일을 변화시키려면 다시 수작업을 통해서 디자인을 변경해야 한다. 이를 보완하기 위한 프로그래머블 폰트인 메타폰트는 매개변수를 사용하여 글자의 변화가 매우 용이하다. 하지만 메타폰트는 프로그래밍 언어이므로 메타폰트에 대한 선행학습이 필요하여 폰트 디자이너에게 사용되지 않았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 폰트 디자이너에게 익숙한 외곽선 방식에 편집기를 제공하면서 글자의 스타일에 대한 변화를 메타폰트에서 처리하여 다양한 폰트를 파생할 수 있는 한글 외곽선 폰트 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 본 시스템에서는 외곽선 방식의 폰트를 제작할 수 있도록 하는 웹 외곽선 폰트 편집기를 구현하였으며 외곽선 방식의 폰트를 메타폰트로 변환하는 UFO2mf를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 폰트 시스템은 기존 외곽선 방식의 스타일 변화에 대한 수고를 덜어줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

A Concept Mapping Study on Clinical Stress for Nursing Students during Clinical Practice (간호대학생의 임상실습 스트레스 요인에 대한 개념도 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the conceptual structure of stressors experienced by nursing students during clinical practice. Methods: Ten men and 10 women nursing college students were interviewed. The results were 208 ideas. By synthesizing and editing these ideas, the final statement was trimmed down to 39 questions. The next step was to have the participants classify these 39 final questions. They were asked to rate stress scores using a five-point scale. Through multidimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis yielded dimensions and clusters. Results: Results of the study showed 2 dimensions which were classified as 'interpersonal relationship-practice system' and 'identity-practice environment'. It also yielded 8 clusters which were classified as 'role confusion', 'gender discrimination', 'attitudes of medical personnel and patients', 'comparison between fellow students', 'difference between theory and practice', 'disestablishing the role of practice guide', 'interference with training', and 'problems of the practice environment'. Further, stress factors and stress levels were differentiated depending on the gender of the student. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that educators who are developing clinical practice programs and clinical practitioners should consider stressors during clinical practice and the educational implications to nursing students.

An Automatic Face Hiding System based on the Deep Learning Technology

  • As social network service platforms grow and one-person media market expands, people upload their own photos and/or videos through multiple open platforms. However, it can be illegal to upload the digital contents containing the faces of others on the public sites without their permission. Therefore, many people are spending much time and effort in editing such digital contents so that the faces of others should not be exposed to the public. In this paper, we propose an automatic face hiding system called 'autoblur', which detects all the unregistered faces and mosaic them automatically. The system has been implemented using the GitHub MIT open-source 'Face Recognition' which is based on deep learning technology. In this system, two dozens of face images of the user are taken from different angles to register his/her own face. Once the face of the user is learned and registered, the system detects all the other faces for the given photo or video and then blurs them out. Our experiments show that it produces quick and correct results for the sample photos.
