온라인 커머스 서비스 혁신을 위한 비즈니스 생태계적 접근 (A Business Ecosystem Approach for E-commerce Service Innovation)

  • At a time when the e-commerce market is experiencing accelerated growth, with advancements in information and communications technology (ICT), the problems of distribution of counterfeit products and consumer confusion caused by non-face-to-face purchases have increased. Hence, amid intensifying competition, it has become important for e-commerce companies deliver product information more efficiently, provide differentiated services, and secure credibility for consumers by reducing consumer damage from buying counterfeit products. However, even though consumer confusion and the inadvertent purchase of counterfeit products are intensifying in such a market scenario, there are no services that aim to solve such problems. This study examines the conventional e-commerce industry in South Korea through a political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) analysis, based on in-depth interviews with consumers, to derive the pain and gain points of the industry. As a result, the inherent problems of the e-commerce industry were revealed. Through a service value network perspective, services aimed at resolving such issues were derived, and the e-commerce business ecosystem needed to solve this problem was deduced. The findings revealed that the artificial intelligence-based service support platform has become a major driving force within the e-commerce innovation ecosystem by enabling a new way to create and secure value using ICT. This entails a new exchange mechanism and transaction architecture and a new organizational structure that breaks the barriers between industries.

  • '기업 생태계'에서 '유니콘'이란 표현법은 2013년 'Aileen Lee'에 의해 명명된 이래, 특히 한국에서 '스타트업 생태계'의 국제적 수준 비교의 차원에서 활발하게 다루어졌다. 정부 차원에서는 이를 정책적 목표로 설정하여, '2022년까지 유니콘 기업 20개 목표'를 제시한 바 있다. 이와같이 '유니콘 클럽 기업'에 대한 현상은 정책적 목표 차원에서 다루어지며, 대중적으로 크게 확산된데 반해, 본 현상의 실체와 본질적 이해 목적의 학술적 연구는 충분치 못하였다. 본 연구는, 첫째, 2019년 기준 '글로벌 유니콘 클럽' 기업 479개를 대상으로 이들의 특성을 다면적/다차원적으로 분석하였다. 그동안 주로 국가별 '유니콘 기업' 수 및 산업 분류 기준 일반현황 중심의 대중적 소개가 주된 내용이었다면, 본 연구는 투자자를 포함한 기초현황을 상세 분석하였고, 사례분석을 포함한 질적 탐색을 수행하였다. 또한 기초 선행연구가 부족한 관계로, 군집분석, 판별분석, 다층 회귀분석 등 양적 탐색을 함께 수행하였다. 그리고 개별기업의 '기업가 요인-산업(시장)환경 요인-자원 요인-전략 요인', 즉 'ERIS 모델'에 기반하여 그 특성을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 기업가치에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 앞서 분석한 특성 요인 및 투자자 특성과 연계하여 살펴보았다. 그리고 마지막으로는 이들을 토대로 '기업 생태계' 관점에서 '유니콘 현상'을 바르게 이해하고, 또한 정책적 측면에서 이를 생산적으로 활용하는 방향을 제시하였다.

자연환경의 종합적 평가시스템 적용범위에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Application of a Comprehensive Evaluation System of the Natural Environment)

  • The natural environment of the modern society does not simply reflect damage, but is a complex and grave reality that threatens the Earth. To solve this problem, various aspects related to the natural environment have been explored around the world, and a number of studies are ongoing to balance the development and preservation of the natural environment in Korea. However, no clear category exists for the natural environment and the related terms are ambiguous, rendering the overall evaluation system is in efficient. Therefore, the present study attempted to set the scope of application of a comprehensive evaluation system based on terms similar to the natural environment, concepts of the natural environment viewed from a value-based perspective and a capacitive perspective. In addition, by examining the concept of ecosystem services, a conceptual model for efficient application of the evaluation system of the natural environment through the association between categories of the natural environment is presented to derive implications for practical operation in the future.

21세기 디지털 조직 전략실천에 대한 생태론적 고찰 (Strategy Practice in the 21st Century Digital Organization: -An Analysis from the Ecological Perspective-)

  • It is argued that the strategy practice in the 21st digital organization is limited and constrained in that it is being laregy driven by a traditional positivistic strategic management thinking. This article, drawing upon the models and concepts developed in the field of general ecology, proposes a resilient ecological view of strategy, as an alternative strategy frame of reference for overcoming some of the pitfalls and shortcomings of the current digital strategy practice in the organization. The implications of this new ecological perspective on strategy practice are discussed in detail. The article concludes with discussions and directions for implanting the perspective in the organization.

생태학적으로 지속가능한 디자인을 위한 생체모방의 텍스타일 디자인 접근법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Textile Design Approach of Biomimicry for Ecologically Sustainable Design)

  • Various methodologies have been proposed in discussions of sustainability to meet the needs and sustenance of both civilization and the ecosystem. Among them, the modern concept of biomimicry is emerging as a way to meet both the concepts of sustainable 'development' and 'society', due to its philosophical position encompassing the human-centered world view and the non-human-centered view of ecocentrism. Therefore, in the field of design in which it is necessary to take responsibility for environmental and social problems, this could be a good way to solve these issues. Biomimicry design can generally be divided into three stages: form, function, and ecosystem. From the point of view of ecological sustainability, ecosystem imitation is the most advanced and appropriate design approach that can solve the problems or even prevent them. Accordingly, this study derived a biomimicry design approach in the ecosystem imitation stage based on the concepts of biomimicry, ecological sustainability, and ecological aesthetics. The detailed approaches are 'imitation of the natural providence', 'imitation of the ecosystem's creation process', and 'imitation of the ecological cycle'. This study investigated and presented cases, such as the design imitating the ecological mechanism of microorganisms and the work using mark-making based on the derived design approach, because it could be too conceptual and idealistic by itself. Through this, we explored a method of applying and visualizing the concept of biomimicry in textile design at the ecosystem imitation level and showed its feasibility, although it still has difficulties in practical use.

뉴스 데이터를 활용한 텍스트 감성분석에 따른 지역 산업생태계 위기 예측 - 광주 지역 자동차 산업을 중심으로 - (Crisis Prediction of Regional Industry Ecosystem based on Text Sentiment Analysis Using News Data - Focused on the Automobile Industry in Gwangju -)

  • 지역 산업생태계의 노후화 문제가 점차 심각해지면서, 지역 산업생태계의 쇠퇴를 측정하고 재생하기 위한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 지역 산업생태계 위기 예측에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 위기는 단기간에 걸쳐 급진적으로 나타나는데, 사후대응으로는 역부족인 경우가 대다수이므로 위기가 발생하기 전에 대응해야 한다. 즉, 지역 산업생태계의 위기를 조기에 파악하여 선제적인 대응을 하는 것이 장기적인 관점으로 바라봤을 때 더욱 필요하고 요구된다는 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 대용량의 뉴스 데이터를 활용하여 뉴스의 감성 점수에 따른 지역 산업생태계의 위기 예측 가능성을 점검하였다. Google 감성분석 API를 사용하여 뉴스 감성 분석을 실행하였고 이를 월별로 정리하여 감성 분석 결과 실제 이벤트 간의 연관관계를 확인하였다.

비즈니스 생태계의 고객참여와 심리적 오너십: 다음카카오와 페이스북의 생태계 (Customer Participation into Business Ecosystems and Psychological Ownership: DaumKakao and Facebook Ecosystems)

  • Purpose By participating in the business ecosystems, customers make both positive and negative impacts in the ecosystem. In particular, users of platform businesses participate in the business ecosystem as partial employees who voluntarily create and manage content. According to the organizational behavior literature, employees' psychological ownership toward the organization has an influence on the organizational competitiveness. Thus, with an assumption that customers gain psychological ownership toward the business that they participate in, it is important to analyze the process and the factors that influence their psychological ownership. This study proposes a research model that describes the process: customers undertake customer socialization, which then lead them to participate in the business-level and the business ecosystem-level activities. Through the participation, customers gain psychological ownership toward the business. Design/methodology/approach Based on a structural equation model, this study analyzes the data regarding the factors in the research model. Data was collected by surveying college students who represent themselves as Facebook and DaumKakao users. By analyzing the collected data, the relationships are validated between customer socialization and customer participations (i.e., both business-level and business ecosystem-level participation), and between the participations and customers' psychological ownership. Findings Based on the validation, this study confirms the importance of managing customers' psychological ownership and offers customers' participation by their socialization as a solution for increasing customers' psychological ownership. Also, this study proposes the business ecosystem research model as the general research framework for future research and expands the scope of strategic management from the individual level strategy to the business ecosystem wide perspective.

해양 플라스틱 쓰레기로 인한 문제와 해결책에 관한 초등학생의 인식 조사 (Elementary Students' Perceptions of Marine Plastic Waste Problem and Solutions)

  • This study aims to explore how elementary students perceive and approach the issue of plastic debris in marine habitats by examining students' perspectives on the ecosystem and environmental solutions. The study was conducted to 143 Grade Four elementary school students in Seoul. After implementing two class-units on plastic waste, students' constructed responses on the problem of and solutions to plastic debris in marine habitats were collected. Data were analyzed through semantic network analysis and the keywords were visualized to reflect their relationships. Furthermore, students' responses on how they perceive environmental problems were further analyzed based on the following analysis criteria: students' perspectives on the ecosystem, the level of complexity of food chain(s), and the scope of their perspective. Also, student responses on environmental solutions were classified to be either at a personal or social level. Through semantic network analysis, keywords identified for students' perceptions on the problem were the sea, plastic, debris, animals, living things, humans, extinction, while keywords extracted for the solutions were plastic, debris, recycling, disposable, and I. Based on the analysis criteria, it was found that students were well aware of the food chain concept, could perceive the ecosystem as having comprised of both biotic and abiotic factors, and could approach the problem beyond the scope of the marine environment. Also, most students mentioned the solutions only at a personal level. Based on the findings, implications on how to move forward in educating environmental issues related to the ecosystem in science education is further discussed.

고객참여와 심리적 주인의식의 관계에서 온라인 플랫폼 비즈니스 생태계 유형의 조절효과: 카카오와 페이스북 생태계의 비교 (Moderating Effects of Online Platform Business Ecosystems between Customer Participation and Psychological Ownership: A Comparison of Kakao and Facebook Ecosystems)

  • Purpose The business ecosystem perspective offers a new lens in which to view customers. Customers as the member of business ecosystems influence firms by participating in both the firm level activities and the business ecosystem level activities. For example, customers participate in the business ecosystems by forming interest groups, allowing their voice to be heard the within business ecosystems. Customers can also, turn public opinion around and foster the business ecosystems favorable to firms. On the other hand, as an extreme case of customer participation, customers can engage in community activities to boycott the purchase of products or services from certain firms or business ecosystems. Design/methodology/approach This study views content creation and feedback activities as customer participation in the firm level. On the other hand, word-of-mouth (WOM) and boycott activities are considered as customer participation in the business ecosystem level. This study presents a research model regarding the relationships among customer socialization, customer participation, and psychological ownership. The proposed model is validated through an empirical analysis on online platform business ecosystems. Findings When the two business ecosystems are compared, different results were drawn. In the Facebook ecosystem, boycott and psychological ownership did not have a significant relationship. However, in the Kakao ecosystem, the two had a significant positive relationship. The mediating effect of the business ecosystem type sheds a light on the mission, purpose, vision, and other values associated with the theory of the business on the customer-firm relationship. Further implications for theory and practice were discussed in this study.

지방정부의 벤처기업 육성지원 시책에 대한 실태 연구 - 부산지역 벤처생태계를 중심으로 - (An Study on the Actual Conditions of Venture Business in Busan from the Venture Ecological perspective)

  • 본 연구는 부산지역 경제 활성화 및 실업률의 해소를 위하여 벤처기업 육성시책이 적극적으로 추진될 필요가 있다는 문제의식에서 부산지역 벤처생태계의 실태, 부산지역 벤처기업 육성지원 시책에 대한 현황파악 및 정책 수요자의 태도분석을 통한 정책적 함의 도출을 연구목적으로 한다. 분석기간으로는 벤처기업 육성지원 정책이 참여정부 출범을 기점으로 크게 변화되었기 때문에 참여정부의 정책이 명확히 제시되었던 2004년에서부터 2006까지를 주된 연구대상으로 한다. 연구결과에 따르면, 부산지역 벤처생태계는 양적 측면과 질적 측면 모두에서 대단히 취약함이 확인되었고, 참여정부의 정책변화에 따라 벤처여건은 악화될 가능성이 높은 것으로 확인된다. 또한 부산지역의 벤처육성 지원시책은 IT분야에 지나치게 편중되어 있어 지원대상의 다양화가 시급한 것으로 나타났다.
