철강 산업은 자동차, 조선, 가전, 건설 등 전체산업에 기초소재를 공급하는 국가 기간산업으로서 '산업의 쌀'이라 할 만큼 중요한 산업이며, 철강업체들이 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 정확한 효율성 분석이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 DEA모형을 이용하여 한국 철강업체들의 효율성을 분석하였다. DEA모형 중에서 CCR 모형과 BCC 모형을 사용하였으며, 분석에 선정된 28개 철강업체들의 2005년도 효율성(CCR, BCC, 규모)과 규모수익성(RTS)을 분석하였다. 또한 분석된 자료를 바탕으로 벤치마킹의 대상을 찾기 위한 포락지도(envelopment map)와 이에 따라 효율적이 되기 위한 목표 값을 제시하였으며, 산업분류를 세분류와 세세분류로 나누어서 각 산업별로 효율성을 파악하였다.

As South Korean large business groups, also known as Chaebol, have broadened their influence in the domestic economy, it is important to analyze the influence of internal transactions among Chaebol affiliates on their performance. In this paper, relationship between internal transactions and efficiency of Chaebol affiliates has been analyzed. Top five Chaebol groups in South Korea are selected; they include Samsung, Hyundai Motors, LG, SK, and Lotte group. Based on internal transactions among affiliates, social networks are constructed for each Chaebol group to analyze centrality, network structures and cliques. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was conducted to examine the efficiency of the Chaebol affiliates. Then, correlations between the degree centrality and the efficiency of Chaebol affiliates were analyzed, and the network structures of Chaebol groups are presented. The result shows that positive correlations between degree centrality and efficiency are observed among four Chaebol Groups. This paper shows that the Social Network Analysis (SNA) techniques can be used in the empirical research for the analysis of internal transactions of Chaebol groups.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the application of accounting conservatism on the investment efficiency of listed companies in China under the background of the current rising environmental uncertainty. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected 14,934 observations of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2013 to 2020, and analyzed the data by means of moderating effect test and multiple regression analysis. Findings - The results show that environmental uncertainty deteriorates the company's investment efficiency. The higher the level of environmental uncertainty, the more prone to over-investment and under-investment. Accounting conservatism plays moderating role between environmental uncertainty and investment efficiency. Among them, the moderating effect of conditional conservatism is to alleviate under-investment of the company under high financing constraints and the over-investment, while it intensifies the under-investment under low financing constraints. The moderating effect of unconditional conservatism is to alleviate the under-investment. Research implications or Originality - This study finds out the internal mechanism of accounting conservatism affecting investment efficiency, which not only helps to understand about the value of accounting conservatism standards, but also helps to improve the investment efficiency of listed companies.

Economy of world has grown rapidly. This growth has increased the ownership of household electrical appliances including room air conditioners. The number of users of air conditioners is predicted to grow dramatically in the future. This paper discusses the present status of residential appliance energy efficiency standards around the world. The study found that the energy efficiency standards for room all conditioners would mitigate a significant amount of emissions in Korea.

For many years, T/G Supplier has constructed a number of thermal power plants and researched to improve the performance and the reliability of steam turbine, which are achieved by advances in design and materials technology. In recent, interest is renewed in advance steam condition as means of improving economy of thermal power plant and reducing environmental pollution. Improvements in the maximum power have been driven by the development of advanced rotor and bucket material and longer last stage bucket. Improvements in efficiency have been brought through advance in mechanical efficiency and thermodynamic efficiency. This paper describes a number of new steam path design features introduced to the steam turbine product. And also this paper describes new design technologies' development, new technologies' trend and technologies' development for ultra-super critical steam turbine.

In recent years Korea fisheries have been much more influenced than ever before by domestic and foreign environmental changes such as market liberalization, sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness of domestic fisheries, fisher's welfare etc. Under the wide range of environmental changes, government is carrying out various fisheries policies. However, it seems insufficient to accomplish policy goals under the existing policy instruments. The main focus of the paper is to investigate structural changes and policy directions of fisheries finance in Korea after asian economic crisis. The results of the study are as follows; Fisheries sector in whole economy has been lowering in its proportion. To survive in emerging global competition, fisheries sector is needed structural reformation. In particular the strategy that increases operative efficiency and effectiveness on government financial policy in fisheries sector is much expected. Also, it is necessary to minimize costs, to reform institution and management for increasing efficiency and effectiveness.

Recently the study is being addressed on the energy economy as greatly as possible. The researches on light source that have higher efficiency than the exiting are performing. The high-power LED is the representative one among those. There are two fields in the research on the high-power LED, the ordinary illuminating apparatus and the night illuminating apparatus using wind and solar energy. In this paper, we validated the probability of using high-power LED as illuminating apparatus and proposed the novel LED power equipment that has more stability and better efficiency than the exiting method. By using the propose method the -R-E-A-C-T is reduced and the efficiency improved.

Efficiency and competitive power in agribusiness management has became important issue due to the rapid changes in farming environment under new WTO agreement. To increase competitive power, small-sized petty farm should be restructured to be specialized large-scaled farming system. Trust farming corporation(TFC) has been introduced to increase farm productivity and competitive power through large scale farming system and refined management skills. Eventually, TFCs are expected to revitalize rural economy. TFCs are increasing in numbers, but they are unsatisfactory in quality often with insolvent operations. The typical problems with TFCs are internal conflicts among members, lack of management abilities and incentives, inefficiency in machinery use, and insolvent operations. The self effort by members and legal-institutional assistance can alleviate the negative factors against the rational for cooperative management and sustain TFCs. This study identifies the management problems of TFCs. To provide the methods for increasing management efficiency, improving rational management skills, and hence to help revitalizing the rural economy with competitive power, 20 TFCs in Nonsan County is surveyed. The major findings are as follows; 1) According to the survey result of 20 trust farming corporations, investments on the accumulation of knowledges and information, accounting management, machinery management are required due to the present lack of management/accounting ability. There also exist problems associated with revenue sources, labor uses, and public recognition. To increase management efficiency under current situation, corporations should import active business plans with expanding farming execution and off-farm season business. 2) Based on the result of corporations' business analysis, more than 50% of the corporations were not able to provide profit dividends to the members. It suggests that trust farming corporations need appropriate and stable revenue sources to sustain business. It is also required that corporations should reduce their excessive expenditure on fixed assets. 3) Theoretical amounts of consignment fees for tillage operation, planting, and harvesting were found to be 338,874 won, 216,596 won, and 332,318 won, respectively. Although actual levels of fee are 110%~120% of these theoretical levels of consignment fee, corporations' expected fee levels could not be acheived because of competency of consignment market.

The article deals with problems of innovation development on a network basis, which require effective mechanisms of innovation communications. In research the organizational aspects of ICT infrastructure development for innovation networks sustainable development based on cooperative marketing principles is considered. The proposed research idea is based on the idea that ICT implementation is based not only on the operational approach for innovation management as a factor of efficiency of internal communications, but also on knowledge economy and post-industrial economy trends. Therefore, the purpose of study is to develop an ICT model of innovation infrastructure to improve its effectiveness (strategic character) and efficiency (operative character) through increasing the efficiency of network communication interactions. Creation of information space and communication tools to support innovation network sustainable development and cooperation activities in research is proposed to be solved with the help of specialized ICT platform. It is shown, that ICT platform of innovation cooperation innovation network is important tool for common work of participants. ICT platform is considered as an integrated information system designed to automate business processes related to the sustainable development of innovation network, segment management and integration with HEI information systems and industrial cooperation. The main factors that determine the need to use a special ICT platform for innovation network cooperation were considered. The main issues of concurrent engineering (C-technology) application in high-technology industries and innovation cooperation for integrated product development were studied.
