Financial Events Coping Strategies and Family Financial Satisfaction of Urban Households (도시가정의 재정적 사건, 대천전략 및 경제생활만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of resource financial events coping strategies and family financial satisfaction. The data were collected from 499 housewives in Seoul. The major findings: 1. The financial events were categorized into 6 factors. The factors were named as related to 'Family' 'Health' 'Money' 'Car & durables' 'Job', 'Housing'. Among these events respondents who had exprienced housing-related event reported the highest level of financial stress. 2. The coping strategies were categorized into 4 factors: 'Delaying payment' 'Borrowing' 'Economical purchasing' 'Using Worth' The most frequently used 'Economic purchasing' strategy. 3. Various coping strategies were differently used depending on financial events. For example the housewives used 'Economical purchasing' strategy to cope with family-related events and used 'Borrowing' strategy to housing-related events. Housewives who had less income and less net-worth used ' Economic purchasi g' strategy. 4. Job-related events were negatively effect to family financial satisfaction but car & durables-related event were positively effect to family financial satisfaction. Housewive who the more income and the less age had the high satisfaction. 'Delaying payment' and 'Economical purchasing' strategies were negatively related to family financial satisfaction.

Design of Economical Steel Ratio in RC Flexural Members (RC 휨부재의 경제적 철근비 설계)

  • This paper is on a practical method for determination of the economical steel ratio in RC flexural members with an equal safety factor. The cost functions of each material and labor are considered to construct the cost function. Then, an equation for determination of the economical flexure steel ratio with the lowest construction cost were proposed. It was found that a relevant steel ratio is recommended to be 0.65~1.0% for designing singly reinforced rectangular beam.

  • The economical design of steel towers fortrausmission line. This study has been made on the design criteria of steel towers for power trasmission line adopted in the United States of America, France, Japan and Korea in order to find out any access to design the economical steel twers in Korea following to our own climate conditions. As the result of this study, involved in this description. Writer belive that the weight of steel towers can be saved by 10% to 20% approximately on the steel towers which will be constructed in the near future in Korea, by the possibility of reducing the design wind pressures on towers and cables in those areas of inland of Korea, the increase of number of standard towers from four types to five, the adoption of comparative narrower base towers than those in past practice and improvement on the assumption of manimum delection angle of suopension type insulator strings.

  • This study is for the investigation of form using the aluminum-compound metal frame(Aluminum frame reinforced panel : AFR panel) which is improved in the capacity in the wall-concrete structure in steal of using the existing form which has problems such as, excessive exposure of cement, the loss of labor when it is constructed or disjointed, and it's economical efficiency compared with that of EURO Form. AFR panel passes the KS F 8006 test, and as a result of field test, it's displacement is satisfied with Specification. And using AFR panel is more economical than that of EURO Form because saving labor cost which plays a major part in cost saving in formwork is more effective in retrenching total cost than increment of material cost.

  • We have studied that a effect saving temperature of instantaneous heater using an economical bidet due to change Silicon-Tube. The results, we have found that the existing instantaneous heater is reduced 15 [%], 20 [%] better than a new product instantaneous heater as a discharge water [${\ell}$/min] with temperature and ${\nabla}$ value, respectively. Therefore, we have showed that the innovative effect of a working process and the cost reduction because an economical bidet due to change Silicon-Tube.

  • This paper describes the distribution power system econimical PQMS(Power quality monitoring system) of Utility. Recently, the korea power quality standard has been established based on the IEC Std. By IEC Std., the power quality assessment point is measured in PCC(Point of common coupling). In this case, the utility has to construct PQM system in all customer PCC point and the PQ meter cost would be very high in order to acquire the suitable data. Also the distribution system would be encounter the communication overload problem due to the huge data. Accordingly the utilities could not apply to PQM system in the distribution power system by the cost and communication problem. In this paper, the proposed economical PQMS has the voltage and current signal reiteration function and FFT operation function is transferred the server. Also the voltage and current measurement channels are minimized by a classified substation construction.

  • The existing fisheries managers ignored the fishery environment changes, have built competitively vessels of efficiency superiority with related corporations, and have captured indisciminately fisheries resourecs. The economical engine horsepower selection model for fishing vessels shorter than 24m is developed. Also, the economical engine horsepower selection model system is verified by the existing vessels, and the optimum vessel scale and engine horsepower classified by the type of fishery and scale are proposed.

  • It is important issue to reduce the electric energy to save the operating cost of HVAC system. Even if electrical energy is the clean energy, it is difficult and takes high cost for storage of electricity. These cause the high peak load of electric energy for HVAC in summer season. In korea, government impose the electric charge with several grade for the purpose of cut-off the peak load of electricity. Government has a policy to support to design and install the heat/ice storage system using midnight electricity. In this study, analysis of cooling load and operating characteristics for ice storage system are performed. And, also economical efficiency is compared between ordinary charge system of electricity and midnight rate charge of electricity. The systematic and economical supports are needed for expansion of usage of energy saving equipments.

  • This paper presents the possible application of a HTS superconducting power cable fro transmitting electric power in metropolitan areas, reflecting its important distinction such as compactness for installation in underground ducts and considerable efficiency improvement comparable to present underground cables. In this paper, we investigated characteristic and market scale compact HTS transmission cable which is possible to install in under-ground ducts. and reviewed its economical efficiency comparing to present existed CV cable construction and duct or tunnel installation.
