  • The prediction of hydrate pellet decomposition characteristics is required to design the regasification process of GTS (gas to solid) technology, which is considered as an economic alternative for LNG technology to transport natural gas produced from small and stranded gas wells. Mathematical model based on the conservation principles, the phase equilibrium relation, equation of gas state and phase change kinetics was set up and numerical solution procedure employing volume averaged fixed grid formulation and extended enthalpy method are implemented. Initially, porous methane hydrate pellet is at uniform temperature and pressure within hydrate stable region. The pressure starts to decrease with a fixed rate down to the final pressure and is kept constant afterwards while the bounding surface of pellet is heated by convection. The predicted convective heat and mass transfer accompanied by the decomposed gas flow through hydrate/ice solid matrix is reported focused on the comparison of spherical and cylindrical pellets having the same effective radius.

  • A light railway operationis an effective means to solve a traffic problem of the city however, noise and vibration is pollution happened. This paper studied noise and vibration pollution of a light railway operation in order to let a decrease. The study range was only track condition and civil engineering structure condition. The way how we decrease noise and vibration in a protection vibration track, ballasted track, non-ballasted track, floating track trends was devoted is long rail laying, low vibration track lying. It was the most economic that the examination results track section a complement, and it was proved that a certain way.

  • This study was planned to test the educational effects of self-guiding environmental interpretation panel. For purpose of the study, self-guiding interpretation panel was set up along the trail of green shower area of Kwang-Reung Arboretum in 1995,and the environmental behavior related variables such as attitude, locus of control, personal responsibility, general knowledge, and intention to act were closen based on Hines and his colleagues' Responsible Environmental Behavior model(1987). The pre-test/post-test non-random control group design was introduced fo test the effects of panel. ANCOVA was used to test the differences between experimental and control group because of the need to consider the effects of other variable such as socio-economic variables on the changes of environmental behavior related variables. Among 5 environmental behavior related variables, the changes of attitude and knowledge were significantly different between experimental group and control group, and the experimental group's direction of change was more favorable for environment. It is concluded that the educational effects of self-guiding interpretation panel were partially accepted. Several recommendations and restrictions of the study are presented.

  • The preliminary ship design step is made into a non-linear programming(NLP) problem. And using SUMT-exterior method and Hook Jeeves pattern search, the optimum ship characteristics are determined for the case where the ship is built in Korea and is operated by Koreans. Three programs for bulk carrier, tanker, and container ship are constructed and several sensitivity tests are performed. The result has little difference from the results of the other papers, but for high interest rate of return, slightly larger and faster ship is superior, and for low labour costs, slightly smaller and slower ship is superior.

  • At this time, it is very urgent and important that the new high value-added industries with convergence and embedded software technologies are promoted to make the driving force for new growth. Moreover, software is used as an essential part or material of nearly all products. However, the economic and social treatment over the software workforce, which is the core of software development, is very weak. In addition, the discussion or study on the treatment improvement and value awareness of software practitioners is almost non-existent. Therefore, this study suggests some measures for software workforce's improved treatment to meet their increasing role. We examine the present state of software workforce, discuss their status and role, and suggest some measures for the improvement of their working conditions and social treatment.

  • As industrialization progresses, mass production becomes a smart production system. However, industrial accidents do not decline, and during the course of industrialization, due to the logic of economic agents that have an economical and effective employment environment, they are changed to non-regular workers. The Occupational Safety and Health Act stipulates that the safety managers must be distinguished and the safety managers perform the task of conducting industrial accidents by balancing the duties and regulations specified in the Act on Special Measures for Deregulation. Safety administrators providing advice on issues needed to prevent industrial accidents and preventive measures We would like to present the problems and improvements that may arise due to safety managers' replacement due to accidents caused by industrial accidents or accidents.

  • Purpose - The goal of this study is to analyze the differences in education performances between students of the government's financial support program and those who do not receive support at a local university in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - The questionnaire used was NASEL. NASEL is considered a highly suitable survey tool for professors, courses, and performances in Korean universities. The 290 students who participated and 44 students do not participate in the financial support program were surveyed for 10 days. The characteristics of students were investigated by frequency analysis and technical statistics. The analysis of student collective characteristics used independent t and f-tests,and one-way ANOVA with IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 for statistical purposes. Results - The p-value of the group receiving financial support and the group without financial support in active-collaborative learning is 0.167. The p-value of the economically supported group and the non-supported group of the faculty-student interaction is 0.281. The confidence coefficient of the active-collaborative learning questionnaire is 0.861. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire for the faculty-student interaction questionnaire is 0.871. Conclusions - There are no clear differences in active-collaborative learning and faculty-student interaction between participating and non-participating students in the economic program.

  • This paper investigates the effect of market structure, including some bank-specific variables and macroeconomic conditions, on the profitability of Indonesian Islamic rural banks. We apply the structure conduct performance (SCP) and the relative market power (RMP) hypothesis. Panel data comprising 142 Islamic rural banks from 2013Q1 to 2018Q4 are employed. This study breaks them apart, associated with the level of economic development consisting of Java as developed regions and outside Java as less developed regions. This study employs static and dynamic panel regression. The GMM method, however, is appropriate because of the dynamic nature of profitability. Our results confirm the SCP hypothesis and fail to support the RMP hypothesis. The higher market concentration allows Islamic rural banks to generate a significantly higher profit by conducting a collusive strategy. More interestingly, the collusive behavior may result in more profit for Islamic rural banks located in the developed regions than those in less developed regions. Evidence also highlights the importance of operating efficiency and impaired financing on profitability. High operating efficiency and low impaired financing can improve profit. Our results suggest that capitalizing market share by improving efficiency and optimizing financing contracts between PLS and non-PLS contracts also improve profit.
