소비자의 도덕적 동기와 주행 거리가 전기 자동차의 유용성 지각 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Moral Motivation and Driving Distance on the Perceived Usefulness and Purchase Intention of Electric Vehicles)

  • Purpose - This study examines the effect of consumers' motivations on the perception and purchase intentions of electric cars. Specifically, it empirically analyzes how moral motivations based on personal environmental values and norms in car usage and purchasing influence the perceived usefulness and purchase intentions of electric cars. Furthermore, it investigates whether the influence of moral motivations on perceived usefulness and purchase intentions varies according to the user's driving characteristics. Design/methodology/approach - An online survey was conducted with 234 respondents, by setting criteria for participants as car owners or primary car users within their households, ensuring the sample composition was not biased in terms of the presence or absence of experience with eco-friendly cars. Findings - The research findings indicate that perceived usefulness mediates the effect of consumers' moral motivations on their intention to purchase electric cars. The results of the moderating effect of driving distance on perceived usefulness revealed a significant interaction effect; however, there was no significant interaction effect on purchase intentions. Specifically, for individuals with shorter driving distances, as consumers' moral motivations increase, their perception of the usefulness of electric cars also increases. In contrast, for those with longer driving distances, the increase in perceived usefulness due to moral motivations shows a decreasing trend. Research implications or Originality - This study considered individual driving characteristics that previous research on electric vehicle adoption overlooked, and suggested that setting specific communicating points for electric cars according to driving distance levels might be effective. Lastly, it proposes directions for future research that motivations influencing eco-friendly vehicle purchases may differ based on driving characteristics

Shell Eco-marathon을 위한 자작 자동차 경량화 연구 (The Study on Weight Reduction of Vehicle for Shell Eco-marathon)

  • This paper sought to find a way to improve the fuel consumption rate of a vehicle for the Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2014, with a special focus on the correlation between vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics and chassis weight reduction. In 'KUTY-Eco 1' designed for SEM Asia 2014, a chassis made with an aluminum alloy tube, semi-monocoque structure and a pivot steering system were adopted to reduce weight and to secure better performance. The goals were achieved using computer-aided engineering(CAE) and parameter study. Finally, 'KUTY-Eco 1' was created, the lightest car in the competition's prototype petrol(gasoline) type category. 'KUTY-Eco 1' secured the official record of 142.7 km/liter during the competition.

  • 최근 기후변화에 따른 이상 기상현상이 증가하고 있는데, 특히 동절기의 혹한은 승객의 열적 쾌적성을 크게 저하할 우려가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 철도차량 실대형 환경챔버를 이용하여 저온 조건에서 철도차량의 난방장치 가동시 객실 내부의 온도변화 및 분포를 알아보았다. 실험결과 난방시스템 가동 직후에는 객실 내부온도가 급격하게 증가하였으나, 일정 시간 경과 후에는 더 이상 증가하지 않았으며, 객실의 위쪽이 아래쪽보다 온도가 더 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 통해 승객의 온열 쾌적감 저하를 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

Study on a Fully Electrified Car Ferry Design Powered by Removable Battery Systems Considering Domestic Coastal Environment

  • As increasing the international community's awareness of greenhouse gas reduction, the demand for eco-friendly ship fuel has accelerated recently. The fundamental aim of this study is to develop a new type of fully electrified ferry for passengers and cars considering Korean domestic coastal environmental conditions. Several technical difficulties are encountered in applying a fully electric propulsion system based on removable battery systems into a ship due to limitations imposed by the batteries' size and capacity. This paper reviews and analyzes marine environment regulations strengthened recently, technology trends related to fully electric propulsion vessels in each country, and Korean domestic coastal environments. We propose a new fully electrified car ferry design with a displacement of 400 t applied in Korea. It is powered by removable battery systems pre-charged in a safe inland charging station. The mobile battery system is developed to enable roll-on and roll-off using wheels. The characteristics of the ship motion are analyzed based on the weight and location of the battery systems. We expect our battery systems to be applicable to larger ships in the future.

카쉐어링의 선호 요인 분석연구 (Preferences Factors Analysis for Car-sharing)

  • 본 연구는 수원 시민들을 대상으로 카쉐어링 선호도 요인을 분석하여 제시하였다. 시민의 약 60% 정도가 카쉐어링 이용을 고려하고 있으며, 남자가 여자보다, 젊은 층이 장년층보다, 단독주택과 오피스텔이 아파트와 연립주택보다, 대중교통 이용이 불편한 시민이, 차량 미소유자가, 자동차를 일주일 1~3회 이용하는 통행자들의 카쉐어링 선호도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 주거 밀집지역과 대중교통 역 주변에서의 카쉐어링 잠재수요가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 요금체계는 시간당 지불방식을 가장 선호하였으며, 시간당 7,967원의 지불용의가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 통행목적에서는 업무 쇼핑 여가 레저 통행에서 카쉐어링 선호도가 택시 및 렌터카보다 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과는 카쉐어링 사업 시행의 정책방향 결정에 기여하며, 카쉐어링의 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

EcoMon: 에코 드라이빙 모니터링 시스템 (EcoMon: A System for Monitoring Eco-Driving)

  • 최근 지구 온난화와 에너지 고갈 문제가 심각해지면서, 차량의 에코 드라이빙 (에너지 절약형 운행)에 대한 관심이 높다. 본 논문에서는 ISG(공회전 제한 장치)가 장착된 차량의 공회전 제한 사용과 정속 운전을 모니터링하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 차량 운행 정보 수집용 G/W 장치, 에코 드라이빙 모니터링용 스마트폰 앱 및 서버 시스템으로 구성된다. 본 논문의 주요 기여는 공회전 제한을 포함하는 에코 드라이빙의 모니터링 시스템이 제공해야 할 통합적인 기능, 구조 및 동작 원리를 정의한 것이다. 본 시스템을 통해 사용자는 공회전 제한 시간, 운전 속도, 연료 절감량, CO2 배출량 등을 확인해 봄으로써, 에코 드라이빙을 실천하는 좋은 운전 습관을 가지게 될 것이다. 서버 시스템은 운행 정보를 저장 또는 조회하는 기능을 OpenAPI 형태의 웹 서비스로 제공하여, 다양한 응용들을 쉽게 개발할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다.

공기 엔진의 에너지 효율 평가 (Evaluation of the Energy Efficiency of the Air Engine)

  • Nowadays, many people are trying to develop eco-friendly engines such as the electric motor and the air engine because the I.C. engine cause a lot of pollutants. Nevertheless of these effort, there are few evaluation and comparison of these engines to conventionally used I.C. engines. Because of this, it is difficult to determine that the eco-friendly engines are really energy saving engines. In this paper, the efficiency of the air engine is calculated. The air engine does not cause environmental pollution problem because it uses "Compressed air". Due to the air engine operated at a low temperature and spark-free condition, this engine can be used in extreme condition for safety. Despite the many advantages of the air engine, there are few analysis on the air engine because of an air engine is low energy density.

  • Recently in worldwide and Korea domestically, the LRT vehicles are introduced as reputable urban transit system, in a view of energy saving, punctuality and eco-friendly as well as transport efficiency. At first time in Korea, the Busan metro Line 4 was applied with AGT system which is a kind of LRT using the Rubber tired AGT vehicle and developed from 1999 to 2004 in charge of Korean government. Busan selected the AGT system for Metro Line 4 as the solution of traffic jam and networking the intercity. At present, Busan Metro Line 4 has been running since opened at March 30, 2011. The vehicle of Busan metro line 4 is aiming the maximization of LRT vehicle advantage that is the lightness of vehicle size and vehicle weight. So, it did size downed and weight downed by lightened the weight of car frame and bogies and by the compactness of electrical on-board equipments. The study carried out the structure analysis to verify and safety and performance of car body and bogie frame of Busan Metro Line 4 vehicles. In this study, it was analyzed the stress of main load and verified the fatigue strength. And measured the dynamic stress sending to body structure and bogie frame while running on main line and analyzed the fatigue stress. As a result, it verified the safety and life cycle of car body and bogie frame.

열부하 및 회생 제동 특성을 고려한 경형 친환경차의 제동시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Brake System of Light Eco-Friendly Car Considering Heat Load and Regenerative Braking Characteristic)

  • Recently, there is a big issue of downsizing on brake system according to fuel efficiency and regenerative braking cooperation control. Especially, small cars have improved in a variety ways such as electric vehicle and smart car compared to previous small cars. So, small brake system is strongly required in the car industry. A new small brake system for light compact vehicles was proposed in this paper. For this system, the solid type disc and caliper were newly developed. And the important design factors were considered to reduce brake size. First, we calculated the temperature rise of disc through heat capacity formula and CAE analysis. Second, we analyzed the housing and carrier stiffness of caliper to select the reasonable condition. Finally, the superiorities of the developed brake system were verified by heat capacity, consumption liquid level, braking feeling, judder, wear test and regenerative braking cooperation control analysis. A developed brake system is expected to be useful for brake system of light compact platform.

  • 대기오염물질 감축에 대한 국제적인 인식이 높아짐에 따라 친환경 선박에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있어 각국에서 전기추진선박 개발을 활발하게 수행하고 있다. 현재 전기추진선박에 대해서는 주로 전기추진시스템 및 전동기 연구를 주로 수행하고 있으며, 선박 관점에서 전기추진시스템 및 배터리의 탑재를 고려한 국내 연안 차도선 개념설계 연구는 수행된 바가 없다. 본 연구에서는 배터리 차량 기반의 이동식 전원공급시스템을 주전원으로 하는 순수전기추진차도선의 개념설계 과정에서의 주요 고려사항에 대하여 검토하였다. 100척 이상의 국내 연안차도선의 제원을 분석하여, 요구사항 만족을 위한 선박의 주요제원 선정과 이동식 배터리 차량 탑재를 고려한 비손상, 손상 복원성능 검토를 수행하였고, 개념설계 과정에서 발생하는 문제의 원인분석을 통해 해결방안을 모색하였다.
