Renewable energy has become more popular with the increase in the use of solar power. Consequently, the disposal of defective and old solar panels is gradually increasing giving rise to a new problem. Furthermore, the efficiency and power output decreases with aging. Researchers worldwide are engaged in solving this problem by developing eco-module technologies that restore and reuse the solar panels according to the defect types rather than simple disposal. The eco-module technology not only solves the environmental problem, but also has economic advantages, such as extending the module life. Replacement of encapsulants contributes to a major portion of the module maintenance plan, as the degradation of encapsulants accounts for 60% of the problems found in modules over the past years. However, the current International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard testing was designed for the commercialization of solar modules. As the problem caused by long-term use is not considered, this method is not suitable for the quality assurance evaluation of the eco-module. Therefore, to design a new accelerated test, this paper provides an overview of EVA degradation and comparison with the IEC and accelerated tests.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the methods of the decorations using module plants in interior spaces. This research produced 18 types of the module plant decoration: considering the classifications of module plants(soil, hydroculture, moss), directions of module plants (up, side, down), assembling ways of module plants (horizontal, vertical). Applying these 18 types to the interior space decoration (floor stand, wall attach, ceiling hanging), 54 types were classified. After that, 150 cases of the decoration using module plants in interior spaces were collected and analyzed. In result, the cases were belong to 25 types of 54 types. The important types were the types to be able to decorate wide area of walls or ceilings without occupying floor area: SOIL-UP-VERTICAL, HYDROCULTURE-UP-VERTICAL, MOSS-SIDE-VERTICAL. These types were the decorations with function of bio-filter for air cleaning. Special types were SOIL-SIDE-HORIZONTAL, SOIL-SIDE-VERTICAL with soil developed not to pour and SOIL-DOWN-HORIZONTAL, SOIL-DOWN-VERTICAL with lucks not to pour soil. Plants will be used widely in interior design because of the awareness of eco-friendly design. The strength that module plants are portable, changable, able to exchange parts helps users to maintain plants in interior spaces. For designers, module plants are flexible materials in order to make variety of forms to adjust to interior spaces. The results of this research about methods of the decorations using module plants in interior spaces are useful to designers who want to design interior spaces eco-friendly and user-friendly.
An end-of-life strategy is concerned with how to disassemble a product and what to do with each of the resultingdisassembled parts. A sound understanding of the end-of-life strategy at the early design stage could improve theease of disassembly and recycling in an efficient and effective manner. Therefore, the end-of-life decisionmaking for environmental conscious design has become a great concern to product manufacturers. We introduce a novel concept ofeco-architecture which represents a scheme by which the physical componentsare allocated to end-of-life modules. An end-of-life module is a physical chunk of connected components or afeasible subassembly which can be simultaneously processed by the same end-of-life option without furtherdisassembly. In this paper, a method for analyzing the eco-architecture of a product at the configuration designstage is proposed. It produces an optimal eco-architecture under the given environmental regulations. To dealwith the case ofa complex product, the method is extended for analyzing hierarchical eco-architecture.

A number of urban renewal projects are currently being implemented around the world. Current project management tools are limited in effectively dealing with numerous issues regarding management of these projects (e.g., simultaneous execution of multiple projects). As an effort to address this deficiency, an Intelligent Program Management Information System (i-PgMIS) was developed for effective management of urban renewal projects. The i-PgMIS is a web-based system consisting of various modules including cost management, schedule management, risk management, change management, eco-value engineering (EVE) and so on. Based on the recognition of increasing awareness of creating sustainable built environment, this paper focuses on the EVE module that can support eco-value analysis at program-level management. The EVE module is expected to enhance value and sustainability of construction processes throughout the whole 'program' lifecycle and further to support program feasibility study based on life cycle costing.
Road freezing caused by snowfall during wintertime causes traffic congestion and many accidents. To prevent such problems, we developed, in this study, a system to predict road freezing based on weather forecast data and the freezing generation modules. The weather forecast data were obtained from a high-resolution model with 1 km resolution for Jeju Island from 00:00 KST on December 1, 2017, to 23:00 KST on February 28, 2018. The results of the weather forecast data show that index of agreement (IOA) temperature was higher than 0.85 at all points, and that for wind speed was higher than 0.7 except in Seogwipo city. In order to evaluate the results of the freezing predictions, we used model evaluation metrics obtained from a confusion matrix. These metrics revealed that, the Imacho module showed good performance in precision and accuracy and that the Karlsson module showed good performance in specificity and FP rate. In particular, Cohen's kappa value was shown to be excellent for both modules, demonstrating that the algorithm is reliable. The superiority of both the modules shows that the new system can prevent traffic problems related to road freezing in the Jeju area during wintertime.
In korea, PV business has been growing fast since 2000. There are many ways to build PV System. Among them, BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) System using PV Modules as external wall has been carried out research on and invested much. Thus I will suggest another way to apply the BIPV System. This System is Eco System designed to consume little energy working the blind by the power that the BIPV System generates. I will show you how to make and apply this BIPV System.
Global warming is accelerating due to the use of fossil fuels that have been used continuously for centuries. Now, humankind recognizes its seriousness, and is conducting research on searching for eco-friendly and sustainable energy. In the field of solar energy, which is a kind of eco-friendly and sustainable, many studies are being conducted to enhance the output performance of the module. In this study, the output improvement for the shingled module structure was studied. In order to improve the output performance of the module, the thickness of the encapsulant was increased, and the lamination process conditions have been improved accordingly. After that, the crosslinking rate was analyzed, and the suitability of the lamination process conditions was judged using this. In addition, a peeling test was conducted to analyze the correlation between the adhesion of the encapsulant and the output performance of the module. Finally, the optimization for the encapsulant material and the lamination process conditions for high-power shingled modules was established, and accordingly, the market share of high-power shingled modules in the solar module market can be expected to rise.
