멀티빔 음향측심기를 이용한 하상지형 관측에 관한 연구: 백마강 레저파크를 중심으로 (A Study on the Observations of Riverbed Topography Using Multibeam Echo-Sounder Near Baeckma River Leisure Park)

  • With the recent development of bathemetry technology, the hydrographic surveying method has been changed from single beam depth device use to multi beam acoustic sounding technology. Also, various studies have been reported to obtain high accuracy and precision in the process of river bed topographic data. Especially south korea is geographically on three sides of the sea and the river topography is very developed. To build information about the underwater, and riverbed status, the public investigations has been continuously progressed. In this study, We investigasted the riverbed topography near Baeckma river leisure park. for this purpose, In this study, as the first preliminary survey, location of navigational dangerous objects and reefs and the dangerous areas are identified. Also, ground control points is selected for the optimal GPS surveying. Secondary, through test surveying the Gain, TVG, and pulse length are determined. In addition, the investigation of dangerous objects for navigation is also conducted. As the last step, the error analysis are conducted for the acquired data, and this process involves the removal and adjustments of errors. This section includes the analysis of tide level and navigational contributions, and finally generates a submarine topographic map.

표토의 정밀 모니터링을 위한 유실 및 퇴적량 산정 (Loss and Sediment Estimation for the Precise Monitoring of Surface Soil)

  • 강우에 의해서 발생하는 토양유실은 비옥한 표토를 유실시켜 생산성의 저하를 초래하고, 유실된 토양입자는 하천이나 호수, 댐 등에 퇴적되어 저수용량의 감소와 수질관리에 어려움을 야기 시키므로 이에 대한 대처가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 위성 영상과 GIS 기법을 활용하여 유역내 토양침식에 영향을 미치는 토양조건, 피복조건, 지형조건들을 추출하고 이 요소들을 범용토양유실공식(USLE; Universal Soil Loss Equation)에 적용하여 유입퇴적량 및 유입 가능성이 높은 위치를 파악하였다. 또한 유입되어 하상에 쌓여 있는 퇴적량은 투과성이 강한 음향측심기를 활용하여 퇴적층과 지층의 고도 정보를 획득하여 산정하고 유실량과 퇴적량을 비교하여 퇴적되는 비율을 도출하였다.

제주도 동남해역의 저서어업자원 조사연구 - 음향에 의한 어업생물의 분포밀도 추정 - (Hydroacoustic Investigation of Demersal Fisheries Resources in the Southeastern Area of the Cheju Island , Korea - Acoustical Estimation of Fish Density and Distribution-)

  • The distribution and abundance of fish in the Cheju southeastern area was studied by the combined hydroacoustic and bottom trawl surveys in April 1994 and in July 1995, respectively. The main purpose of these investigations was to provide the basic data for this management and the biomass estimation of commercially important demersal fish stocks in this area. The hydroacoustic surveys were performed by using a 50 kHz scientific echo sounder system with a microcomputer-based echo integrator. Acoustical measurements of fish abundance and distribution were conducted along the cruise tracks of research vessel and during all trawl hauls by continuous echo sounding. The average weight-normalized target strength for demersal fish aggregations was derived from the relationship between the mean volume backscattering strength for the depth strata of trawl hauls and the weight per cubic meter of trawl catches. The geographical distribution of fish stocks in the 1994 survey area was investigated in relation to oceanographic conditions. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: 1. From the 1994 and 1995 survey data, the relationship between the mean volume backscattering strength (, dB) for the depth strata of trawl hauls and the weight (W, kg/$m^3$) per cubic meter of trawl catches was expressed by the following equation = - 32.8+ lOlog(W) The average weighted-target strength value at 50 kHz derived from this equation was .. 32.8 dB/kg. 2. In 1994 and 1995, both surveys showed a trend of decreasing fish abundance toward the southern area of the Cheju Island with high densities offish along the west coast ofth.e Tsushima Island. The highest demersal concentrations in the southern area of the CheJu Island appeared in bottom waters colder than $12^{\circ}C.$. . 3. From the results of combined bottom trawl and hydroacoustic surveys, the estunated fish densities in the southeastern area of the Cheju Island were 1.5488 x $10^-4$kg/$m^3$ in the 1994 surveyand 1.9498 x $10^-4$kg/$m^3$ in the 1995 survey, respectively.

다중빔 음향측심기 수심 정확도 개선 (Improvement of Multi-beam Echo Sounder's Depth Accuracy)

  • 다중빔 음향측심기는 수심의 3∼4배되는 주사 폭으로 넓은 지역을 동시에 측량하므로 자료의 정밀도와 작업효율성이 단빔 음향측심기보다 상대적으로 높다. 그러나 빔의 생성 및 계측 원리가 정교하여 탐사선의 움직임에 영향을 많이 받기 때문에 부가장치의 정확한 조정 작업이 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 다중빔 음향측심기의 정확도 향상을 목적으로 평탄 해저지형에서 빔의 중앙과 ± 45°의 빔각을 이루는 지역의 수심단면을 가시·통계적으로 분서한 결과, 관성센서의 진동과 부가장치의 오정렬에 의한 오차가 발생하여 부가장치에 대한 조정이 필요하였다. 따라서 방진재를 관성센서에 부착하여 선체로부터 받는 진동을 저감시키고, 선체 자세요소와 부가장치의 오프셋 값을 정밀 계측하여 수평자세요소 값으로 변환·정렬시켰다. 그 결과, ±45° 빔각 지역의 수심 정확도는 IHO S44의 1등급 수로측량 수준에서 특등급 수로측량 수준으로 향상되었으며, 오정렬에 의한 중첩구역의 물결무늬 현상도 현저히 감소하였다.

낙동강 하구의 물리적 해황에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Physical Oceanographic in the Mouth of the Nakdong River)

  • 낙동강하구의 물리적 해황조사를 1986년 4월, 6월, 10월과 1987년 2월, 3월, 8월, 6회에 걸쳐 실시하고, 그 자료를 분석, 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 음향측심에 의해 조사된 해저지형은 준설 또는 매립으로 인해 불규칙적인 요철이 생겼다. 2. 1986년에 관측된 결과에 의하면 동측수로에는 수류가 거의 없고 서측수로에 대부분의 유량이 흘렀기 때문에 낙조시의 최대속도는 1.5kt 정도였다. 3. 1987년 8월에 측정한 결과에 의하면 하구역에서의 흐름은 동측수로에서 약간 세게 나타날 정도였으나 서측수로에는 조석 때문에 약한 유동이 나타났다.

아산만의 해저지형과 해수유동 (The Circulation and the Submarine Topography in Asan Bay)

  • A series of echo-sounding and current measurements as well as the drogue and the drift bottle experiments were carried out in Asan Bay since November 1974. Several sand bars or sand flats covered by silts were developed at ebb tide in the bay. Sand waves and sand ripples were seen on the surface of the sand bars, around which sea channels of 8~ 12 meters in depth are formed. The main stream axis of the flood current which is separated into east and west branch flows southward. A cyclonic and an anticyclonic eddy are developed at the early stage of flood tide. They are transformed into a clockwise eddy before the slack water. The maximum tidal current speed observed was 3.1 ~ 3.2 knots at the entrance of the bay, while it was 1.O ~ 2.8 knots in the bay. The location of the main stream axis of the tidal current coincides well with the sea channel. A salt wedge was observed at the estuary of the Sabgyo-cheon River.

Bathymetry and Morphotectonic Elements in the Ulleung Basin, East Sea of Korea

  • A detailed bathymetric map is used to construct a morphotectonic map of the Ulleung Basin. The definition of "morphotectonics" and the procedure of the morphotectonic mapping are described in detail. The morphotectonic structural elements of various orders and ranks are also determined using echo-sounding and other geophysical data. Preliminary analysis shows that the newly determined morpho-structural elements coincide with the locations of deeper tectonic features established by the geophysical evidences of the inner sedimentary and/or crustal sections. Therefore, the tectonic zone of the Ulleung Basin has imprinted the patterns of the inherited evolution since Neogene.e Neogene.

A site-specific CFD study of passing ship effects on multiple moored ships

  • A local-analytic-based Navier-Stokes solver has been employed in conjunction with a compound ocean structure motion analysis program for time-domain simulation of passing ship effects induced by multiple post-Panamax class ships in the exact condition of a real waterway. The exact seabed bathymetry was reproduced to the utmost precision attainable using the NOAA geophysical database for Virginia Beach, NOAA nautical charts for Hampton Roads and Norfolk harbor, and echo sounding data for the navigation channel and waterfront facilities. A parametric study consists of 112 simulation cases with various combinations of ship lanes, ship speeds, ship heading (inbound or outbound), channel depths, drift angles, and passing ship coupling (in head-on or overtaking encounters) were carried out for two waterfront facilities at NAVSTA Norfolk and Craney Island Fuel Terminal. The present paper provides detailed parametric study results at both locations to investigate the site-specific passing ship effects on the motion responses of ships moored at nearby piers.

다중빔 음향측심기를 이용한 삼천포 남부해역 수심자료 정확도 평가 (A Study on Assessment of Depth Data from Hydrographic Surveying Using MBES around South Sea of Samcheonpo)

  • 삼천포항은 국가 지정 무역항으로 새로운 항만이 건설되고 있으며 이에 따른 안전의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 해상안전을 위한 요구사항을 충족하기 위해 다중빔 음향측심기를 이용한 삼천포 남부해역에 대한 수로측량이 실시되었다. 본 연구에서는 수로측량의 주요한 항목인 수심자료를 획득하였으며, 이 자료를 국제수로기구(IHO)에서 2008년 2월에 간행한 특별 간행물의 최소 수로측량 기준과 비교한다. 3단계로 수심자료를 분석한 결과, 좌 우현의 외곽 빔에 대한 제거범위를 산정하여 필터링함으로서 자료처리의 효율성과 자료의 정확도를 높일 수 있었으며, 남쪽해역은 해류 등 외부환경의 영향 큰 해역에서는 0.2m 정도의 오차가 나타났으며, 중앙 부 및 상부에서는 0.2m이내의 오차가 나타났다. 연구해역의 수심자료는 국제수로기구 수로측량 규정에서 특등급의 허용 오차 내에 99%가 포함되고 1등급에는 100%만족하는 것을 확인 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 해상교통안전지원, 연안관리 등 해양활동의 의사결정의 정확성을 높이는데 기여할 것이다.

음향 및 광학기법을 이용한 노무라입깃해파리 (Nemopilema nomurai)의 수층별 분포 관찰에 관한 연구 (A study on vertical distribution observation of giant jellyfish (Nemopilema nomurai) using acoustical and optical methods)

  • A giant jellyfish (Nemopilema nomurai), which is presumed developing in the East China Sea, is recently one of major issues in the Northeast Asia region due to its fatal damage to the fishery. The biomass estimates have generally been conducted by trawl sampling and sighting survey methods. The biological research is also needed to clarify such environmental origin or diurnal migration patterns. While trawl sampling or sighting survey methods are effective to investigate its density estimates in its distributed community of near bottom or surface, they have a problem in investigation on the vertical distribution of jellyfishes. In this case, an echo sounding detection would have an advantage to survey it more extensively and effectively. This trial was conducted to observe the vertical distribution of giant jellyfish, where thermocline strongly formed, during mooring at each station of the East China Sea and southern coastal area using acoustical and optical methods. By the results, they were observed to exit and move at the water column under the thermocline using the optical camera and echo sounder system, and the information was analyzed to find out the acoustical sound scattering characteristics relatives to 120kHz frequency. These results can be utilized effectively to estimate the vertical distribution and biomass of Giant jellyfish with comparing results from trawl sampling and sighting survey methods, hereafter.
