This paper presents a technique to optimize the shape of waveguide components in H-plane. The technique utilizes the numerical optimization process which employs the vector finite element method. In the optimization process, the sensitivity of an objective function with respect to design variables is computed by introducting adjoint variables, which makes the computation easy. The steepest descent method is then employed to update design variables. As a numerical example, an H-plane waveguide teejunction was considered to obtain optimized shape. Comparison between the initial and optimized shape was made.

We investigates the functions of UPnP protocol that would be used to provide easy and cheap access for home networking. We suggest that a proxy device may reduce the cost of establishing UPnP network if it serves as an interface between UPnP and X10 protocol. We also describe the design of UPnP proxy device and the service scenario.

This paper presents a design of the accelerate circuit for the conversion of the vector font data into the bit-mapped image. Among the Bezier curve algorithm, the subdivision algorithm gives the good performance and easy hardware implementation. The sequencer is realized by the proprammable gate array and the processing unit is composed of EPLDs and TTL ICs.

Qualify Engineering(QE) is purposed for company profits. It is difficult to understand the literature of QE which is published in Korean. In this paper, we want to make easy understanding of the QE and to apply it to real fields. Though that Taguchi has contributed to QE is absolute, QE and Taguchi methods are not the same methods. In this paper, we are trying to show differences of those. QE methods also are developed from the design of experience, the design of parameter and the on-line control of production process. Nowadays, the main subject of QE are to determine control variables and noise variables.

We have developed a new remote-configurable firewall system that provides secure and easy-to-use access to home-network appliances such as network cameras, PVRs, and home file servers, through the internet. With a simple web browser operation, remote users can dynamically open and close the firewall of the home gateway. The firewall rule creation is based on an authentication of the remote client, and thus only packets from the authorized client can pass through the firewall, we analyses the sorority design for home gateway in ubiquitous surroundings.

360도 이미지는 대중에게 이전에 경험하지 못했던 특별한 시각적 경험을 제공한다. 360도 이미지를 제작할 수 있는 방법은 여러 가지가 있지만, 본 논문에서는 기존의 제작방식을 포함하여 간단하며 유효한 두 가지의 제작방법을 제시하고자 한다. 첫 번째 방법으로는 48장의 이미지를 합성하여 한 장의 360도 이미지를 만드는 것이고, 두 번째 방법으로는 6장의 이미지를 사용하여 한 장의 360도 이미지를 제작하는 것이다. 앞서 제시한 두 가지 제작 방식의 특징과 장단점의 비교를 통하여 더욱 간단하면서도 효율적인 제작방식을 선택할 수 있다. 소개를 통하여 제시되는 제작방법은 VR작품 제작의 문턱을 낮출 수 있으며, 일반인들도 360이미지 제작을 더욱 간편하게 할 수 있게 됨으로써 VR영상 콘텐츠 산업이 더욱 발전될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The aim of the study was to look into the construction methods of historical corsetry and compare them with the construction methods of corsetry today. Through a comparative study, it was concluded that the design, material, sewing and functions of corsetry of a certain period are sum of the clothing techniques and fashion of the time. Corset was first appeared at the end of the 16th century. It has been through many changes in terms of items, materials, patterns, sewing methods in order to make right silhouettes of the time. Now corsetry has been developed into various items such as waist nipper, all-in-one, nipper bra, and girdle. All these items have a common purpose, that is to improve the body shape. The corsetry of the past was made of non stretchable materials, so they used to restrict body movements, and required individual fitting several times. Due to the development of thin durable stretchable fabrics, functional bones, and advanced sewing machines, construction methods of seam, hem and opening are simplified compare to their predecessors. Consequently corsetry became less weighted, easy to wear, easy to wash and easy to mass produce. Yet they have consistency in sewing techniques such as using bones or wires to support bodice shape, using durable twill fabrics over plain for attractive body shapes.

The main obstacles for adopting a mobile health information system to existing hospital information system are the redundancy of clinical data and the additional workload for implementing the new system. To obtain a seamless communication and to reduce the workload of implementation, an easy and simple implementation strategy is required. We propose a mobile clinical information system (MobileMed) which is specially designed for the easy implementation. The key elements of MobileMed are a smart interface, an HL7 message server, a central clinical database (CCDB), and a web server. The smart interface module transfers the key information to the HL7 message server as new clinical tests data is recorded in the existing laboratory information system. The HL7 message server generates the HL7 messages and sends them to the CCDS. As a central database the CCDS collects the HL7 messages and presents them to the various mobile devices such as PDA. Through this study we might conclude that the architecture for the mobile system will be efficient for real-time data communication, and the specially designed interface will be an easy tool for implementing the mobile clinical information system.

빠른 변화를 가지는 운동 동작을 분석하는 것은 쉬운 일이 아니다. 그러나 이를 동영상으로 취득하여 동영상 파일을 분석하는 것은 쉬운 일이다. 더욱이 PC의 보급과 디지털 캠코더의 보급으로 동영상 파일의 취득이 용이해 짐에 따라 일반인도 손쉽게 동영상 분석을 할 수 있는 환경을 가지게 죄었다. 본 연구에서는 골프 동작을 동영상 파일에 담아 분석할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 이를 구현하여 보았다. 또한 영상 흐름을 반영할 수 있는 편집 방식을 개발하고 이동 추적 알고리즘을 사용하여 골프 스윙 분석을 보다 용이하게 개선하였다.
