  • This research analyzes the influence of mobile commerce characteristics on consumer's purchase intention using a theoretical Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) constructed on previous studies and a review of the literature to explain the effect of mobile fashion shopping characteristics on consumer's purchase intention. In constructing structural equation model, Mobile commerce characteristics variables such as 'security', 'enjoyment', and 'personalization' were selected as external variables affecting TAM. A questionnaire was distributed to consumers in their 20's-30's who had purchased fashion products using a mobile shopping channel. Statistical methods of confirmatory factor analysis, correlation, and covariance structural analysis using Amos 19.0 package were employed for the analysis of 453 effective data responses. The results were as follows. First, extended TAM was shown be the appropriate model to explain the influence of mobile commerce characteristics on consumer's purchase intention in mobile fashion shopping. Second, 'security' had a significant positive influence on perceived usefulness (PU), however it affected perceived ease of use (PEOU) negatively. Third, 'enjoyment' had a significant influence only on PEOU, while 'personalization' was found to affect both PEOU and PU significantly. Fourth, PEOU affected PU significantly. Finally, both PEOU and PU had a significant influence on consumer's purchase intention.

  • This study aimed to investigate the roles of three health-oriented personal factors-health technology innovativeness (HTI), health consciousness (HC), and health information orientation (HIO)-in determining Koreans' perceptions about telemedicine. Based on an extended version of the technology acceptance model (TAM), two perceptual components-perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU)-of telemedicine were considered for this investigation. Data from 699 usable surveys were analyzed using path analysis. The results from the path analysis indicated that while HTI and HC had no or limited effects on the PU and PEOU of telemedicine, the effects of HIO on those two perceptual components of telemedicine were statistically significant. Moreover, the results from the path analysis showed that there were significant regional differences in the effects of HTI and HC on the PU and PEOU of telemedicine. In general, these effects were greater among the metropolitan residents than they were among the rural residents.

  • The aim of this study is to assess the impacts of service properties, price expectancy, social influences, and switching costs on adoption intention of 4G in Vietnam. The research model was established by the theory of diffusion of innovation, technology acceptance model, service quality, social influences and switching costs. The result from customers using telecommunication services in Vietnam shows that adoption intention of 4G is affected directly by perceived usefulness, personal innovativeness, price expectancy, social influences, prior service quality and switching costs. Whereas, switching costs have negative effect on adoption intention. Other factors such as personal innovativeness, perceived ease of use and prior service quality have an indirect effect on adoption intention of 4G.

  • Previous studies on user training have largely focused on assessing models which describe the determinants of information technology usage or examined the effects of training on user satisfaction, productivity, performance, and so on. Scant research efforts have been made, however, to examine those effects of training by using theoretical models. This study presented a conceptual model to predict intention to use information technology and conducted an experiment to understand how training for computer skill acquisition affects primary variables of the model. The data were obtained from 32 student subjects of an experimental group and 31 students of a control group, and the information technology employed for this study was a university's electronic mail system. The study results revealed that attitude toward usage and perceived behavioral control helped to predict user intentions; outcome expectations were positively related to attitude toward usage; and self - efficacy and perceived behavioral control. The changes in those variables suggest more causal effects of user training than other survey studies.

  • Most of the Information Systems(IS) literature has focused on utilitarian or hedonic Information Technology(IT) to explain and predict IT adoption and use. This study investigates the relationships among individuals' beliefs and intention to use of movie website, which has both utilitarian and hedonic characteristics simultaneously. As a theoretical background, this study adopts Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and Motivation Theory, in which the former is well-known as a theory of IT adoption and use in IS field, and the latter is famous for a theory of individual's behavior in organizational behavior field. With 153 responses, five hypotheses are tested by using structured equation model. The results show that perceived ease of use positively influences perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment, and that all individuals' beliefs have a positive impact on intention to use of movie web-site. Based upon the study results, movie website's managers and professionals can plan and conduct their courses of action effectively for users' continuous visits on their operating website.

  • The double sided buried contact(DSBC)silicon solar cell processing requires doping of the rear and front grooves with boron and phosphorus respectively. The successful electroless plating of these grooves with the appropriate metals haave been found to depend on the boron conditions for the rear fingers. However, an increased understanding of electroless plating has removed this restriction. Thus the DSBC cells using different boron conditions can be electrolessly plated with ease. This paper presents the recent work done on metallizing the double sided buried contact silicon solar cells with heavily doped boron grooves. The cells results indicate that, the heavier the boron grooves, the poorer the cell performance because of the probable higher metal contact recombination associated with boron grooves.

  • This study aims to explore how the degree of education related to information systems and the Internet literacy affect perceived security risk and how these three variables affect online transaction intention based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Since using smartphone to purchase necessary products is increasing, the study provided two different cases of using the existing Internet and smartphone to buy products. As a result of an empirical test, the degree of information system education, internet literacy, and perceived security risk had significant effects on online transaction intention mediating perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Unlike the expectation, the more people have education related to information systems, the more they have knowledge about hacking or cases of privacy infringement, leading to even more concerns about security, thereby believing the Internet transactions require much effort. The more the education about information system, the more we have concerns about security; therefore, perceived security risk have a positive(+) effect on perceived usefulness not a negative(-) effect. Lastly, while the degree of education related to information systems has relations with the recognition of the usefulness of the Internet transaction, the study showed that there are no relations of recognizing the usefulness and the ease of use of smartphone.

  • Based on literature relating to the TAM (technology acceptance model) and TPB (theory of planned behavior), this study extends the TAM in a mobile banking context. The extended model was tested using LISREL analysis on the sample of 222 users who have experience with the banking service. The model was partially supported in a mobile banking context, accounting for 49% of the variance in the usage intention. The results showed that the perceived usefulness, the perceived credibility, and the perceived financial cost play a significant role in influencing the usage intention of the mobile banking service. In addition, instant connectivity and perceived credibility were found to influence the perceived usefulness, and self-efficacy and instant connectivity were found to influence the perceived ease of use. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

  • This study tried to propose a smart farm technology strategy suitable for the domestic situation, focusing on the differentiation suitable for the domestic situation of ICT technology. In the case of advanced countries in the overseas agricultural industry, it was confirmed that they focused on the development of a specific stage that reflected the geographical characteristics of each country, the characteristics of the agricultural industry, and the characteristics of the people's demand. Confirmed that no enemy development is being performed. Therefore, in response to problems such as a rapid decrease in the domestic rural population, aging population, loss of agricultural price competitiveness, increase in fallow land, and decrease in use rate of arable land, this study aims to develop smart farm ICT technology in the future to create quality agricultural products and have price competitiveness. It was suggested that the smart farm should be promoted by paying attention to the excellent performance, ease of use due to the aging of the labor force, and economic feasibility suitable for a small business scale. First, in terms of economic feasibility, the ICT technology is configured by selecting only the functions necessary for the small farm household (primary) business environment, and the smooth communication system with these is applied to the ICT technology to gradually update the functions required by the actual farmhouse. suggested that it may contribute to the reduction. Second, in terms of performance, it is suggested that the operation accuracy can be increased if attention is paid to improving the communication function of ICT, such as adjusting the difficulty of big data suitable for the aging population in Korea, using a language suitable for them, and setting an algorithm that reflects their prediction tendencies. Third, the level of ease of use. Smart farms based on ICT technology for the development of the Industry6.0 (1.0(Agriculture, Forestry) + 2.0(Agricultural and Water & Water Processing) + 3.0 (Service, Rural Experience, SCM)) perform operations according to specific commands, finally suggested that ease of use can be promoted by presetting and standardizing devices based on big data configuration customized for each regional environment.
