Light absorption has potential as a signal in biochemical analyses due to its simplicity in measurement and interpretational clarity. Among substances that generate absorption signals, gold nanoparticles possess advantages such as chemical stability, biological compatibility, and unique optical properties from the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) in the visible light range. They also exhibit versatility compared to other colorimetric substances effective only for specific target molecules, as they easily conjugate with various detection active substances like antibodies and aptamers. Particularly due to advantages such as low cost, ease of particle synthesis, and high environmental stability compared to enzyme-based colorimetric methods, gold nanoparticles are extensively researched as signal substances in colorimetric assays. This review summarizes various strategies utilizing gold nanoparticles as absorption signal substances, focusing on recent research. Based on the characteristics of gold nanoparticles, where the optical property is influenced by particle morphology, literature is classified and reviewed based on strategies controlling the shape of gold nanoparticles during signal generation. Through this, it is observed that gold nanoparticles, which have been used as absorption signal substances, continue to be actively researched, affirming their potential for broad and continuous improvement in the future.

The objective of this study is to compare and assess the effectiveness of real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), and the selective agar plate method for the detection of Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes in ready-to-eat (RTE) foods. In RTE foods, the detection performance of the three methods (RT-PCR [SureTectTM kit and PowerChekTM kit], LAMP [3M MDS], selective agar) were similar at 0-10, 10-50, 50-100, and 100- CFU/mL of Salmonella spp. and L. monocytogenes. We found that with RT-PCR, the Ct value of salad was significantly higher (p<0.05) than other RTE foods, indicating that fiber plays a critical role as an obstacle to the rapid detection of Salmonella spp. However, the Ct value displayed a mixed pattern according to the inoculation level of L. monocytogenes. The use of rapid detection kits and machines mostly depends on the user's choice, with accuracy, ease of use, and economy being the primary considerations. As an RT-PCR kit, SureTectTM and PowerChekTM showed high accuracy in detecting Salmonella spp. and L. monocytogenes in RTE foods, showing that they can replace the existing RT-PCR kits available. Additionally, LAMP also showed excellent detection performance, suggesting that it has the potential to be used as a food safety management tool.
Purpose - With the increase of non-face-to-face activities due to the spread of COVID-19, O2O industry has grown rapidly which reduces contact points between suppliers and consumers. O2O platform is now recognized as an indispensable channel of distribution, but the voice is getting louder that it is necessary to check how it contributes to the performance of suppliers or how its fee system or contract terms affects the expansion of O2O industry as the leading companies tend to monopolize the market. Design/methodology/approach - In this study, the scope was limited to the restaurant industry in which transactions are the most active among the O2O industry and a regression analysis was done on 775 businesses that had used guarantor service from the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation. Findings - Analysis on the impact of O2O platform system, information, and service quality on the business performance of the sole proprietors revealed that the system quality represented by ease of use and the information quality determined by level of timely, accurate and reliable information provided to the consumers have a statistically significant effect on the improvement of business performance. In addition, the effect of business performance on the loyalty measured by the likelihood of users continuing to use the service as well as recommending it to others was moderated by the satisfaction with contract terms, not by the fee system. Research implications or Originality - Although the number of O2O platform providers has increased manyfold, the membership rate is no more than 20%, which means that the small business owners are still struggling with digital transformation. In order for the O2O industry, which is now commonplace, to form a healthy ecosystem that satisfies both suppliers and consumers, the standard contract guidelines that are acceptable to both parties must be established and the O2O providers must offer services that help suppliers to improve performance.
With the rapid development in network, graphic technology, and digital technology, content industry is emerging as an important industry for new cultural development and economic development. The development in digital content technology has remarkably expanded the generation and distribution of contents, thereby creating new value and extending into a large distribution market. However, the ease of distribution and duplication, which characterizes digital technology, has increased the circulation of illegal contents due to illegal copying, theft, and alteration. The damage caused by this illegal content is severe. Currently, a copyright protection system targeting online sites is available. By contrast, no system has been established for offline companies that sell offline genuine content, which compete with online companies. The demand for content of overseas tourists is increasing due to the Korean wave craze. Nevertheless, many offline content providers have lost competitiveness due to illegal content distribution with online companies. In this study, we analyzed the case and status of similar copyright certification systems in Korea and overseas through previous research and studied a system to certify the offline genuine contents business. In addition to the case analysis, we focused on interviews obtained through in-depth interviews with the copyright stakeholders. We also developed a certification framework by establishing the certification domain, certification direction, and incentive of the certification system for offline businesses with genuine content. Selected certification direction is ethical, open, inward, store, and rigid (post evaluation). This study aimed to increase awareness among consumers about the use of genuine content and establish a transparent trading order in a healthy content market.
Purpose: Research and development of high-strength concrete enables high-rise buildings and reduces the self-weight of the structure by reducing the cross-section, thereby reducing the thickness of beams and slabs to build more floors. A large effective space can be secured and the amount of reinforcement and concrete used to designate the base surface can be reduced. Method: In terms of field construction and quality, the effect of reducing the occurrence of drying shrinkage can be confirmed by studying the combination of low water bonding ratio and minimizing bleeding on the concrete surface. Result: The ease of site construction was confirmed due to the high self-charging property due to the increased fluidity by using high-performance water reducing agents, and the advantage of shortening the time to remove the formwork by expressing the early strength of concrete was confirmed. These experimental results show that the field application of ultra-high-strength concrete with a design standard strength of 100 MPa or higher can be expanded in high-rise buildings. Through this study, we experimented and evaluated whether ultra-high-strength concrete with a strength of 130 MPa or higher, considering the applicability of high-rise buildings with more than 120 floors in Korea, could be applied in the field. Conclusion: This study found the optimal mixing ratio studied by various methods of indoor basic experiments to confirm the applicability of ultra-high strength, produced 130MPa ultra-high strength concrete at a ready-mixed concrete factory similar to the real size, and tested the applicability of concrete to the fluidity and strength expression and hydration heat.

This study aimed to propose a method for collecting and applying media platform based materials at the National Library of Korea. Firstly, we analyzed the current status and limitations of data collection based on domestic media platforms, including the National Library of Korea. Secondly, a literature review method was used to investigate the current status and types of digital content based on media platforms. Thirdly, we identified the types of materials based on media platforms that are not currently included in the National Central Library's online material collection guidelines through the examination of cases from major overseas libraries. Fourthly, after reviewing technical and legal elements such as the definition of collection targets and scope for each new media, and collection methods, we established collection criteria. Fifthly, based on the research results, the policies proposed in this study are as follows: 1) there is a need to establish a clear legal basis for the collection of media platform based materials; 2) the development and presentation of collection guidelines for media platform based materials is necessary; 3) the development of collection tools and infrastructure for media platform based materials is required; 4) for the collection of media platform based materials, it is necessary to obtain permission for collection from targeted social media organizations, and to cooperate in linkage with organizations that produce and service extended reality content; 5) for the service activation of media platform based materials, it is necessary to improve accessibility for the usage activation of these materials, to enhance the content extensibility and ease of use of the e-deposit system including extended reality content, and to advance and construct spaces for reproducing extended reality content.
This study presents the development and performance evaluation of a custom GPT-based chatbot tailored to provide solutions following Polya's problem-solving stages. A beta version of the chatbot was initially deployed to assess its mathematical capabilities, followed by iterative error identification and correction, leading to the final version. The completed chatbot demonstrated an accuracy rate of approximately 89.0%, correctly solving an average of 57.8 out of 65 image-based problems from a 6th-grade elementary mathematics textbook, reflecting a 4 percentage point improvement over the beta version. For a subset of 50 problems, where images were not critical for problem resolution, the chatbot achieved an accuracy rate of approximately 91.0%, solving an average of 45.5 problems correctly. Predominant errors included problem recognition issues, particularly with complex or poorly recognizable images, along with concept confusion and comprehension errors. The custom chatbot exhibited superior mathematical performance compared to the general-purpose ChatGPT. Additionally, its solution process can be adapted to various grade levels, facilitating personalized student instruction. The ease of chatbot creation and customization underscores its potential for diverse applications in mathematics education, such as individualized teacher support and personalized student guidance.
Recently, a framework crystallizing as Environmental, Social, and Governance(ESG) has been exerting significant influence not only on corporate investment and management philosophies but also on national policies. This ESG framework is becoming an essential requirement for all organizations. It has become an obligation at the corporate and national levels, particularly in the maritime, port, and logistics sectors. Anticipating that the adoption and utilization of the ESG framework will reach higher levels when it becomes a necessity, this study utilized data from international organizations such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNCTAD), the World Bank, and the World Economic Forum to analyze the impact of the ESG framework on national economic performance through the maritime, port, and logistics sectors using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling(PLS-SEM). The analysis revealed that while the ESG framework did not have a direct impact on the national economy, it manifested substantial indirect effects through maritime, port, and logistics sectors. Therefore, in these sectors, the establishment of the ESG framework should be recognized not only as an expenditure and obligation but also as a crucial investment that positively influences the national economic performance. The study's findings are limited by the absence of data beyond 2019 due to the impact of COVID-19. Therefore, it is anticipated that more accurate current effects can be ascertained when newer data becomes available.
This study aims to investigate the effects of an 8-week complex attention concentration program on the brain function index and attention concentration in adolescents with ADHD. The subjects of the study were 18 male adolescents from H School located in I City, divided into three groups: 6 participants in the complex attention concentration program group, 6 in the target-related physical activity group, and 6 in the no-treatment control group. Data analysis included calculating means and standard deviations for group comparisons, and two-way (2RM×6RM) ANOVA was conducted to test differences at various measurement points. Post-hoc tests were performed to examine significant interaction effects (p<.05). The results indicated that the integrated attention training program had a more positive effect on brain function sub-indices compared to both the target-related physical activity group and the no-treatment group. Similarly, the program showed a more positive effect on attention levels compared to the other two groups. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the integrated attention training program significantly improves overall brain function in ADHD students and is advantageous due to its ease of participation. It is suggested that this program could be widely used due to these benefits.
MyData is a new entity that strengthens the rights of information subjects through the 'right to data portability' and utilizes data to enable hyper-personalized services using personal information. Korea's MyData system is recognized globally as an outstanding system in that it is creating a new MyData industry by granting the right to information self-determination through the 'right to request data transmission'. Now in its third year, this study evaluates Korea's MyData system from a consumer behavior perspective and identifies issues for improvement. To this end, this study reviewed previous research on the relationship between regulatory policy and consumer behavior to determine the applicability of a consumer behavior perspective in institutional evaluation. In addition, in a study on consumer behavior related to MyData, variables that affect the use of MyData were investigated and evaluation items from a consumer behavior perspective were derived. As a result of evaluating Korea's MyData system from a consumer behavior perspective, it was found that the factors considered important by consumers were appropriately reflected in the system. However, in cases where there are dual values of ease of use and personal information protection, regulatory aspects tend to take priority. Therefore, in order to revitalize the MyData industry, it is essential to implement market-friendly system improvements without compromising consumer rights. This study is differentiated from existing studies in that it attempted to derive a plan for system improvement by combining empirical consumer behavior research and regulatory policy research.
