ERP, a typical enterprise application, helps companies to increase their productivity and to support their decision makings. ERP is composed of diverse functions that are optimized under PC environment, whereas the ERP applications on a mobile platform have many constraints such as a small screen, limited resolution, and computing power. Because all the functions of a ERP legacy system are not required for ERP on a mobile device, the core functions of the ERP system should be selected to increase system efficiency. In this study, two main methods were used; interviews and log analyses. The end users using a ERP system were interviewed for their perceptions, and log data analyses were made for the hitting number of specific ERP functions. The differences between the actual usage based on log data and users' cognitive preferences about ERP functions were analysed. Finally, the functional differences between users' perception and actual usage were suggested for some practical implications.

So far, little research has been conducted into developing a QAPM (Quality Assurance Process Model) for telecommunications applications on the basis of TMN. This is the first trial of the design of TMN-based QAPM on fault management with UML. A key attribute of the QAPM is that it can easily identify current deficiencies in a legacy system on the basis of TMN architecture. Using an empirical comparison with the legacy systems of a common carrier validates the QAPM as the framework for a future mode of the operation process. The results indicate that this paper can be used to build ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) for a telecommunications fault management solution that is one of the network management application building blocks. The future work of this paper will involve applying the QAPM to build ERP for RTE (Real Time Enterprise) fault management solution and more research on ERP design will be necessary to accomplish software reuse.

ERP system has been spreaded from large companies to many small and medium sized companies, and it is recognized as a basic system for optimum and efficient work process. The focus is moving from manufacturing companies to various specialized companies. Once ERP system was introduced to those specialized companies, there was attempt to customize an ordinary system which used in manufacturing companies, but it was hard to take effect due to the lack of experience and an inadequate analysis of work process. Some of foreign ERP packages are possible to be constructed for some companies. However, they are originally aim at a large enterprise and it is also very difficult to construct and maintain. For this reason, small and midium sized companies are having a difficulty to construct ERP system. This study deals with the construction of ERP system for small and medium sized design engineering company and introduction of the crucial points throughout the construction and requirements for composition module and customization of each main module. Based on the findings of this study, the specialized non-manufacturing companies are expected to have efficient and practical application of ERP system when they select and customize the ERP package of manufacturing companies.

경영환경의 급속한 변화와 정보시스템의 발달로 인해 기업은 경쟁력 강화를 위해 끊임없는 노력과 혁신을 하고 있다. 최근에는 국내외 많은 기업들이 기업 경쟁력 강화를 위해 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)를 이미 도입하였거나 또는 도입할 예정으로 있다. 2) 이러한 ERP시스템이 이전에는 대형 기업을 중심으로 한 시스템 구축이 주류를 이루고 있었다. 하지만 최근에는 국내 ERP업체들의 활성화로 인해 독자적인 ERP패키지의 개발로 중소기업을 위한 ERP구축 사례가 늘어나고 있다. 이렇게 기업 경쟁력을 제고시키는 수단으로 각광을 받고 있는 ERP 시스템은 제조, 물류, 유통, 인사/회계 관리 등의 업무프로세스를 정보기술로 구현한 대형기술로 제조기업의 모든 기능을 망라한 전사적인 통합솔루션으로서 단순히 정보 기술차원의 접근 방법이 아닌 정보기술과 비즈니스의 조화를 이루려는 경영 전략 차원의 접근 방법이다. 3) 본 논문에서는 ERP 시스템의 성공적인 구축 경험을 바탕으로 I기업(중소기업)을 대상으로 ERP 구축 사례를 소개하고자 한다. 먼저 I기업의 정보화 수준 측정을 통해 ERP 구축 전 기업의 경영환경과 정보시스템 활용도 및 사용자 만족도를 파악하고, ERP 시스템을 도입하게 된 배경과 구축 과정 및 결과와 기대 효과를 분석하고자 한다. 마지막으로, ERP시스템 구현의 성공적인 요인들을 찾아내어 앞으로의 연구 방향을 제시하려 한다.

Purpose Recently, many organizations are actively adopting enterprise architecture (EA) as a methodology to manage IT assets and build IT-based business system. This study intended to empirically examine how the role of EA operating unit and utilization capability of organizational members impact on system performance at the post-adoption stage. A balanced score card (BSC) is being used as a framework for a company's key performance indicator (KPI). Design/methodology/approach This study tried to investigate the causal relationship between the four perspectives of the balanced scorecard as an influencing factor of the introduction of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) on the financial value. In particular, the mediating effect between the customer's point of view and the business process point of view was investigated between the learning growth point of view and the financial point of view, and the interaction effect (regulating effect) of strategic linkage in the system introduction process was investigated. Findings The results of the study were first, that the organizational learning and growth perspective had a positive effect on the customer perspective, business process, and financial perspective. In addition, the customer perspective and the process perspective also had a positive influence on the financial perspective. Second, between the learning growth and financial perspectives, the customer perspective and the process perspective showed a partial mediating effect. Third, as for strategic linkage, the interaction effect between the customer perspective, the learning growth perspective, and the process perspective and the financial perspective was not significant. The results of this study are expected to provide a framework for performance evaluation to organizations that have introduced ERP systems.

Recently mother company-driven informatization projects have been widely launched for the suppliers. Setting up a proprietary evaluation system for the level of informatization of the suppliers, a mother company provides both financial and consulting supports for the suppliers in order to enhance the utilization level of the ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system. With the utilization level enhanced, the whole collaboration network will create a competitive advantage to win over global competition. This paper investigates critical success factors for ERP operational performances through a Samsung Electronics case study. The result of the case study may provide valuable feedback to the strategic decision making and fundamental insights for these collaboration efforts.

The purpose of this research is to develop a standardization model for available stock management process among the entire Enterprise Resource Planning System modules of Automobile Parts Manufacturing Industry. The standardization model system is constructed through the phased method based on the development methodology of information establishment suggested by the Small and Medium Business Administration and Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for Small & Medium Enterprises. The standardization model is to develop the process modules of ordering management, storing management, delivering management, and stock management for available stock management process. The study will help the manufacturing business and related IT business which want to construct available stock management process under the ERP system to establish the system more effectively by applying the standardization model and also will provide them with construction availability and reliability. By application of this study results, the businesses will not only prevent the excessive possession of raw materials and products and reserve adequate and steady stock but also will check real-time stock, observe customer due date, decrease over-production and reduce stock cost.

현재까지 e-비즈니스와 관련된 많은 자료들과 솔루션들이 발표되었지만 기업을 위한 e-비즈니스 환경에 IT 기술을 접목시켜 기업의 내부의 IT 기술과 솔루션에 대한 연구가 활발하지 않은 듯 하다. e-비즈니스의 유형은 기업과 고객(B2C), 기업과 기업(B2B), 국가와 기업(G2B), 국가와 국가(G2G) 등으로 세분화 할 수 있으나, 가장 중심적 역할을 하는 주체는 기업 조직이라고 하겠다. 본 연구에서는 많은 e-비즈니스의 구현 기반 기술 중에서 기업 내부 측면의 e-비즈니스 구현 기반기술과 관련된 IT 기술들은 전사적 자원관리를 위한 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)와 지식 기반의 정보 분석을 위한 DW/CRM(Data Warehouse/ Customer Relationship Management), 기업내부의 정보 통로인 EIP(Enterprise Information Portal}, 기업내부의 이기종 어플리케이션간의 통합을 위한 EAI(Enterprise Application Integration)와 경영층의 전략적인 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 SEM(Strategy Executive Management), 확장 ERP 개념인 SCM(Supply Chain Management) 기술에 대한 개념적 이해와 기업내부의 e-비즈니스 환경을 위한 적용방안을 밝히고 각 IT별 솔루션의 분류함에 의해 기업의 e-비즈니스 시스템의 구현 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

This paper investigates the importance and satisfaction levels according to factors on commercial Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) packages in the view of end users when the ERP system is employed especially in SMEs. Considering the characteristics and functions of ERP packages, five factors (vendor, technology, function, A/S, price) are obtained based on the literature review. The proposed procedure consists of finding importance factors and satisfaction levels which support the selection of ERP packages for a certain SME. When a company tries to implement the ERP system, the findings in this paper suggest which ERP package is suitable for its own business environment.
