  • This paper presents small hydrogen regulator for the mobile fuel cell. Mobile fuel cell is generally classified into open-end type and dead-end type. In the open-end type, flow rate of hydrogen is constantly controlled, while pressure of hydrogen is constantly maintained in the dead-end type. Considering the efficiency and stability of the fuel usage, dead-end type is more suitable with mobile fuel cell. Mobile fuel cell operated by dead-end mode requires hydrogen regulator which controls the hydrogen pressure from 0.1bar to 0.5bar within 3% error. In this paper, small hydrogen regulator (volume of 2.6cc) was fabricated by stainless steel. Regulation characteristics was experimentally evaluated.

  • In end milling process the undeformed chip thickness and the cutting force components vary periodically with phase change of the tool. In this study, up end milling process is transformed to the equivalent oblique cutting. The varying undeformed chip thickness and the cutting force components in end milling process are replaced with the equivalent average ones. Then it can be possible to analyze the chip-tool friction and shear process in the shear plane of the end milling process by the equivalent oblique cutting model. According to this analysis, when cutting SM45C steel, 72% of the total energy is consumed in the shear process and the balance is consumed in the friction process.

  • In order to manage the wet end chemistry on paper machines, our goal is to control sub-processes through which we can influence the entire wet end operations with maximum effect. The most important sub-processes are: consistency, ash, and chemistry. The management of these three main groups is based on on-line maesurements and automatic control. This paper presents a new wet end management platform, a new analyzer. This new analyzer utilizes a modular structure and modem software. It is part of a new paper machine concept. The controls of this concept are feedback and feedforward solutions that control retention, consistencies, ash, and charge, resulting in a more stable wet end (30...80%), more uniform paper, and better rnnability.

  • Measurement of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters and its statistical analysis becomes a key issue for Mobile WiMAX service providers to manage the converged network efficiently and to support end-to-end QoS. In this paper, we investigate the population distribution of end-to-end one-way delay which is the most important QoS parameter in Mobile WiMAX networks. The samples are analyzed with Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S), and Anderson-Darling (A-D) test to verify the distribution of parent population. The relation with confidence level and the minimum number of sample size is also performed for logistic distribution. The statistical analysis is a promising approach for measuring the performance Mobile WiMAX networks.

  • Development of five axis tool grinding machine and CAD/CAM systems increase tool design flexibility. In this research, investigated are cutting characteristics of ball-end mill with different helix angle. Special WC ball-end mills with $0^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$ helix angles are designed and used in various cutting tests. Machining performance according to helix angle variation is evaluated from cutting forces, surface roughness, tool wear, produced chip shape, and vibration characteristics. The ball-end mill with $10^{\circ}$ helix angle shows the best cutting performance due to appropriate chip load distribution and smooth chip flow. This research can be used for cutting edge geometry optimization and novel design of ball-end mill.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow condi- tions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experi- mental measurements were in good agreement lith numerical results except In flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compli- ance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia (ANFH) in end-to-end anastomoses.

  • This paper addresses how to be connected with end-to-end shortcut using ATM Switched Virtual Connection (SVC) in ATM-based Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Networks. Without additionally existing ATM Ships-in-the-Night (SIN) mode, when the stream is continuously transmitted at the same destination with the lapse of determined aging time, the connection is changed with end-to-end shortcut connection using ATM signaling. An ATM direct short circuit is performed an IP and ATM effective integration. An ATM shortcut has a number of advantages, like higher throughput, shorter end-to-end delay, reduced router load, better utilization of L2 Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities, and route optimization. In particular between other MPLS domains, this can be efficiently improved the performance of networks.

  • This thesis presents a performance analysis algorithm that estimates erro performance of individual links, at the bit level, in an end-to-end digital connection using the model of 3-statte MarKov chain. The link model proposed the burst error behavior of each individual link. It also presents a method to concateante several individual links and extract a model for end-to-end digital connection. This resulting end-to-end model can be used to calculate performance parameters such as bit error rate(BER) and block error(BLER) for any block size.

  • End-milling have been used widely in industrial system because it is effective to a material manufacturing with various shape. Recently the end-milling processing is needed the high-precise technique with good surface roughness and rapid time in precision machine part and electronic part. The optimum surface roughness has an effect on end-milling condition such as, cutting direction spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut, etc. Therefore this study was carried out to presume for mutual relation of end-milling condition to get the optimum surface roughness by regression analysis. The results shown that coefficient of determination($\textrm{R}^2$) of regression equation has a fine reliability of 87.5% and regression equation of surface rough is made by regression analysis.

  • In this paper, we study the network structure that can guarantee the end-to-end quality of service in the Explicit multicast network. In order to guarantee the end-to-end quality of service, we adopt the end-to-end measurement based admission control (EMBAC) scheme. For the effective measurement of the network state and minimum influence on the current data traffic, the queue structure, which the drop precedence in assured forwarding (AF) Per hop behavior (PHB) of the differentiated service (Diffserv) is applied to, is proposed. Through a simulation, we show that EMBAC can make tile controlled load service in tile AF PHB applied Xcast network, and the qualify of the admitted traffic is guaranteed. In addition, the performance of the EMBAC is changing according to the selling parameter of AF PHB.
