이혈(耳穴)진단에서 Earlobe Crease와 고혈압의 관련성 (Association between Earlobe Crease and Hypertension in the Auricular Point Diagnosis)

  • Objectives : The objective of this study was to evaluate the correlation between earlobe crease(ELC) and Hypertension(HTN) in the auricular point diagnosis. Methods : 140 patients who were admitted the Jeongeup City Geriatric Hospital were examined for the presence or absence of ELC and HTN. The one examined the ELC of patients and the other examined the presence of hypertension. The presence of right ELC, left ELC, right or left ELC, and right and left ELC were respectively compared with the presence of HTN. Chi-square test was used to analyze the correlation between ELC and HTN. Results : The presence of right ELC was significantly related to presence of HTN(p=0.001). The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictability of ELC for diagnosis of HTN were 0.755, 0.524, 0.787, and 0.478. The presence of left ELC was significantly related to presence of HTN(p=0.002). The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictability of ELC for diagnosis of HTN were 0.745, 0.524, 0.785, and 0.468. The presence of right or left ELC was significantly related to presence of HTN(p<0.001). The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictability of ELC for diagnosis of HTN were 0.806, 0.500, 0.790, and 0.525. The presence of right and left ELCs was significantly related to presence of HTN (p=0.007). The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictability of ELC for diagnosis of HTN were 0.694, 0.548, 0.782, and 0.434. Conclusions : These results show that the presence of ELC is significantly associated with hypertension.

변형된 ELC 공진기와 다중 슬롯 공진기를 이용한 소형 4-비트 Chipless RFID 태그 (Compact 4-bit Chipless RFID Tag Using Modified ELC Resonator and Multiple Slot Resonators)

  • 본 논문에서는 변형된 전계-결합 유도-용량성(ELC; electric field-coupled inductive-capacitive) 공진기와 다중 슬롯 공진기를 이용한 소형 4-비트 chipless RFID(radio frequency identification) 태그를 제안하였다. 변형된 ELC 공진기는 기존의 ELC 공진기에서 인터디지털-커패시터 구조를 사용하여 레이다 단면적(RCS; radar cross section)의 공진 피크 주파수를 낮추었다. 다중 슬롯 공진기는 거꾸로 된 U-모양의 도체에 길이가 다른 3개의 슬롯을 에칭하여 설계하였다. 변형된 ELC 공진기의 RCS 공진 피크 주파수는 3.216 GHz로 설계하였고, 다중 슬롯 공진기는 각각 4.122 GHz, 4.64 GHz, 5.304 GHz로 설계하였다. 제안된 소형 4-비트 태그를 두께 0.8 mm의 50 mm×20 mm 크기의 RF-301 기판에 제작하였다. 실험 결과, 제작된 4-비트 chipless RFID 태그의 공진 피크 주파수는 3.285 GHz, 4.09 GHz, 4.63 GHz, 5.31 GHz로 0.78% ~ 2.16% 범위의 오차를 나타내며 시뮬레이션 결과와 유사하게 측정되었다.

두 쌍의 ELC 공진기를 이용한 이중 대역 메타 흡수체의 설계 (Design of Dual-band Metamaterial Absorber using Two Pairs of ELC Resonators)

  • 본 논문에서는 4개의 ELC 공진기 구조를 사용하여 메타 흡수체 구조의 단위 셀을 설계하였다. 제안된 구조의 단위 셀의 크기는 $9mm{\times}9mm{\times}2mm$ 이다. 메타 흡수체의 대역폭 확장을 위하여 흡수체 단위 셀은 서로 다른 크기를 갖는 2 쌍의 ECL가 사용되었다. 제안된 흡수체는 전계가 ELC 갭에 수평하게 여기되고 자계가 단위 셀 면에 수직으로 여기 될 경우에 음의 유전율과 음의 투자율 특성을 나타낸다. 제안된 단위 셀은 8.53 GHz, 9.08 GHz에서 공진을 하며 각 주파수에서 90%이상의 흡수율을 갖는다.

3차원 영상출력을 위한 ELC 렌즈의 기하광학적 해석 방법 및 최적 설계 (A Geometrical Analysis Method of ELC Lens for The 3D Display for Optimum Design)

  • In this paper, a novel method based on geometrical optics is proposed to calculate the optical characteristics of an electric field driven liquid crystal (ELC) lens. For an optimally designed ELC lens, effective refractive index is calculated and then ray tracing is carried out using Huygens' principle. From the results, the intensity distribution at the optimum viewing distance (OVD) is obtained. To confirm the validity of our work, the result is compared with that calculated by the extended Jones matrix method (EJMM). As a result, it turns out that the novel method provides more simple and rigorous simulation results than the EJMM.

Analytical Study of the Image Reconstruction of Fourier Holograms Using Varifocal Electric-Field-Driven Liquid Crystal Fresnel Lenses

  • A novel method is proposed for controlling the distance of an image plane in Fourier holograms using varifocal electric-field-driven liquid-crystal (ELC) lenses. Phase Fresnel lenses are employed to reduce the thickness and response time of the ELC lenses. The voltages applied to the electrodes of the ELC Fresnel lens are adjusted so that the lens has the same retardation distribution as an ideal lens. The focal length can be controlled by changing the retardation distribution with the applied voltages. Simulations were conducted for the image reconstruction of Fourier holograms with various focal lengths of the ELC Fresnel lenses. The simulation results indicate that the distance of the image plane can be properly controlled with the varifocal ELC Fresnel lens.

  • This paper examines the effect of nitride formation on formability for Cu bearing high strength extra low carbon (ELC) steel sheets. For this purpose, we have investigated the effect of addition of aluminium (Al) and boron (B) on texture and precipitation behavior of the ELC steel during continuous annealing. Mechanical properties and microstructures of the ELC steel sheets were analyzed as well using uni-axial tensile test, electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) technique and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) following pilot rolling and continuous annealing. It has been found that the addition of Al and B increases the precipitation of AlN and BN. What is more, the scavange of solute nitrogen is effective in increasing the formability of the ELC steels. In addition, the Al and B addition improves the aging property of the ELC steel.

액정 전계 렌즈 기반 3차원 디스플레이 장치의 엄정한 시청영역 분석 (Rigorous Analysis of Viewing Zone for 3D Display with Electric-field-driven Liquid Crystal Lens)

  • In this paper, we proposed the 3-dimenstional (3D) analysis for calculating the optical characteristics of an autostereoscopic display with electric field driven liquid crystal (ELC) lens. From 3D analysis considering the slanting of lens, we calculate the cross-talk of each images and the distortion of viewing zone. Using geometric opics and extended Jones matrix method (EJMM), phase retardation of ELC lens according to position is calcuated and then optical path difference in 3D space considering tilt and azimuth angle of incident light is gotten. Then, intensity distribution is presented in the space. Through camparing the intensity distribution using ideal lens with the ELC lens, we identify the noise and image distortion of ELC lens. As a result, this analysis is expected to provide optimum design conditions for realistic and rigorous 3D display with ELC lens.

전계-결합 유도-용량성 공진기를 이용한 Chipless RFID 태그 설계 (Design of Chipless RFID Tags Using Electric Field-Coupled Inductive-Capacitive Resonators)

  • 본 논문에서는 전계-결합 유도-용량성(ELC; electric field-coupled inductive-capacitive) 공진기를 이용한 chipless RFID (radio frequency identification) 태그 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 공진 피크 주파수가 다른 ELC 공진기 3개와 인터디지털-커패시터(IDC; interdigital-capacitor) 구조의 소형 공진기 1개를 2×2 배열 구조로 배치하여 4-비트 chipless RFID 태그를 설계하였다. IDC 공진기의 bistatic 레이다 단면적(RCS; radar cross section)의 공진 피크 주파수는 3.125 GHz이고, ELC 공진기의 공진 피크 주파수는 커패시터 모양의 스트립의 간격을 이용하여 각각 4.225 GHz, 4.825 GHz, 5.240 GHz로 조정하였다. 공진기 사이의 간격은 1 mm이다. 제안된 4-비트 태그를 두께 0.8 mm의 50 mm×20 mm 크기의 RF-301 기판에 제작하였다. 실험 결과, 제작된 4-비트 chipless RFID 태그의 공진 피크 주파수는 3.290 GHz, 4.295 GHz, 4.835 GHz, 5.230 GHz로 -2.3% ~ 0.2% 범위의 오차를 나타내며 시뮬레이션 결과와 유사하게 측정되었다.

  • The increase of repetition rate, the dithering of laser optics, and the extension of pulse duration time are major approaches in improving the picture quality of AMOLEDs fabricated by excimer laser crystallization (ELC). Advanced solid phase crystallization (ASPC) has been developed to improve the uniformity and the process cost. Even though the mobility of ASPC-TFT is lower than that of ELC-TFT, it is high enough to drive AMOLED pixels.
