In-depth interviews and focus group interviews were collected for qualitative research on 20 Korean men in their 20s-40s who had experience with 2 types of stores in Korean men's fashion. An analysis of qualitative data based on grounded theory approaches identified 6 factors and 15 items. For the empirical research, the questionnaire which consist of 9 factors and 46 items were developed by the results of grounded theory approaches and prior studies. Final measurement scales were based on 651 data used in exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). All subjects were in their 20s-40s. The result from CFA suggested 4 factors and 18 items with showing acceptable construct validity and discriminant validity. Therefore, this study confirmed that clothing consumption value for Korean male consumer consist of ostentatious and brand value, epistemic and possession value, conditional value, and reasonable value. These constructs will provide critical insight in understanding and segmenting Korean male consumers.

For this purpose, this study selected Mullae Art Village in Seoul as a study site and conducted a questionnaire survey focused on visitors. The results of an exploratory factor analysis (EFA), reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis show that among the sense of place factors of Mullae Art Village 'Attractiveness' and 'Meaningfulness' have a positive influence on visitor satisfaction and length of stay. 'Attractiveness' was found to be the most influential factor. 'Historicity' was found to have no effects on visitor satisfaction and length of stay. In addition, visitor satisfaction has a positive influence on duration of stay. These results suggest that it is important to analyze the sense of place of idle industrial facilities. It will be a useful guide for urban space planners in revitalizing and establishing a marketing strategy for these spaces.

Self-sufficiency has been understood primarily from an economic perspective in both policies and studies, with which the process participants changes has been ignored and neglected. This study suggests psychological approach to self-sufficiency programs for the paradigm shift to 'client-centered' practice. In this regard, this study tests the validity of EHS using exploratory factor analsysi (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) in South Korea, developed from a bottom-up client-centered approach and found a 4-factor 17-item structure as Korean EHS(K-EHS). The study results indicate that the K-EHS can be used as a valid supplementary process evaluation tool for self-sufficiency programs.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to validate the Needs Assessment Tool for Case Management (NATCM) for use with Korean medical aid beneficiaries. Methods: Psychometric testing was performed with a sample of 645 Korean medical aid beneficiaries, which included 41 beneficiaries who were selected using proportional sampling method, to examine intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC). Data were evaluated using item analyses, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), Cronbach's alpha, and ICC. Results: Through psychometric testing the final version of NATCM was found to consist of two subscales: 1) Appropriateness of Health Care Utilization (5 items) and 2) Self Care Ability (6 items). The two subscale model was validated by CFA (RMSEA=.08, GFI=.97, and CFI=.93). Internal consistency measured by Cronbach's alpha was .82, and subscale reliability ranged from .79 to .84. The ICC of the NATCM between case managers was .73 and between case managers and health care professionals. .82. Conclusion: This study suggests that the final version of NATCM is a brief, reliable, and valid instrument to measure needs of Korean medical aid beneficiaries. Therefore, the NATCM can be effectively utilized as an important needs assessment as well as outcome evaluation tool for case management programs in Korea.
