In this paper we investigate the problem of exponential asymptotic stability (EAS) in perturbed nonlinear systems of the differential system x' = f(t, x). Also, a simple method for constructing Liapunov functions is used to prove a kind of Massera type converse theorem.
Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) cover all the applications involving the use of Evolutionary Computation in electronic system design. It is largely applied to complex optimization problems. EAs introduce a new idea for automatic design of electronic systems; instead of imagine model, ions, and conventional techniques, it uses search algorithm to design a circuit. In this paper, a method for automatic optimization of the digital circuit design method has been introduced. This method is based on randomized search techniques mimicking natural genetic evolution. The proposed method is an iterative procedure that consists of a constant-size population of individuals, each one encoding a possible solution in a given problem space. The structure of the circuit is encoded into a one-dimensional genotype as represented by a finite string of bits. A number of bit strings is used to represent the wires connection between the level and 7 types of possible logic gates; XOR, XNOR, NAND, NOR, AND, OR, NOT 1, and NOT 2. The structure of gates are arranged in an $m{\times}n$ matrix form in which m is the number of input variables.

In this study, the buckling loads and mode shapes characteristic of circular and non-circular(elliptical) closed composite shells were analyzed. To analyses the buckling behaviors, we develop and report an improved generalized shell element called 4EAS-FS through a combination of enhanced assumed strain and the substitute shear strain fields. A flat shell element has been developed by combining membrane element with drilling degree-of-freedom and a plate bending element. The combined influences of length, thicknesses, cross-sectional parameters, and fiber-angle on the critical buckling loads and mode shapes of circular and non-circular(elliptical) closed shells are examined.
The purpose of this study was to examine the psychometric property of the Children's Behavior Questionnaire(CBQ), including reliability, content validity, construct validity, cross validity, and concurrent validity with EAS(Emotionality, Activity, Sociability) scale. The CBQ is a caregiver report measure designed to provide a detailed assessment of temperament in children 3 to 7 years of age. In this study, two groups of participants were included to check cross validity. The first group of participants were 108 preschoolers, 3 to 7 years of age attending kindergartens or child care centers, and their mothers. The second group of participants were 168 preschoolers and their mothers. The CBQ subscales demonstrate adequate internal consistencies. Also, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of the CBQ scale reliably recover a three-factor solution indicating three broad dimension of temperament: extraversion/surgency, negative affectivity, and effortful control. Evidence for concurrent validity derives from results of correlation analysis with EAS scale.

Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) are population-based optimization methods based on the principle of Darwinian natural selection. The representative methodology in EAs is genetic algorithm (GA) proposed by J. H. Holland, and the theoretical foundations of GA are the Schema Theorem and the Building Block Hypothesis. In the meaning of these foundational concepts, simple genetic algorithm (SGA) allocate more trials to the schemata whose average fitness remains above average. Although SGA does well in many applications as an optimization method, still it does not guarantee the convergence of a global optimum in GA-hard problems and deceptive problems. Therefore as an alternative scheme, there is a growing interest in a co-evolutionary system, where two populations constantly interact and co-evolve in contrast with traditional single population evolutionary algorithm. In this paper we show why the co-evolutionary algorithm works better than SGA in terms of an extended schema theorem. And predator-prey co-evolution and symbiotic co-evolution, typical approaching methods to co-evolution, are reviewed, and dynamic fitness landscape associated with co-evolution is explained. And the experimental results show a co-evolutionary algorithm works well in optimization problems even though in deceptive functions.
Experiments to study high-energy cosmic rays (CRs) employ Monte Carlo codes for extensive air shower (EAS) simulations to figure out the properties of CRs. COSMOS and CORSIKA among EAS simulation codes are currently being used to analyze the data of the Telescope Array experiment. We have generated a library of about 10,000 simulated EASs with the primary energy ranging from $10^{18.5}eV$ to $10^{20}eV$ and the zenith angle of primary particles ranging from 0 to 45 degree for proton and iron primaries. We have compared the results predicted by CORSIKA and COSMOS under the same condition. In this talk, we show the differences in the energy spectra at the ground, the longitudinal shower profile as a function of atmospheric depth, the Calorimetric energy, and the Xmax distribution. We also discuss the lateral distribution function obtained from GEANT4 simulations which is being used to measure the detector response.

In general, Evoluationary Algorithm(EAs) are refered to as methods of population-based optimization. And EAs are considered as very efficient methods of optimal sytem design because they can provice much opportunity for obtaining the global optimal solution. This paper presents a co-evolution scheme of artifical neural networks, which has two different, still cooperatively working, populations, called as a host popuation and a parasite population, respectively. Using the conventional generatic algorithm the host population is evolved in the given environment, and the parastie population composed of schemata is evolved to find useful schema for the host population. the structure of artificial neural network is a diagonal recurrent neural netork which has self-feedback loops only in its hidden nodes. To find optimal neural networks we should take into account the structure of the neural network as well as the adaptive parameters, weight of neurons. So we use the genetic algorithm that searches the structure of the neural network by the co-evolution mechanism, and for the weights learning we adopted the evolutionary stategies. As a results of co-evolution we will find the optimal structure of the neural network in a short time with a small population. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed method are inspected by applying it to the stabilization and position control of the invered-pendulum system. And we will show that the result of co-evolution is better than that of the conventioal genetic algorithm.
In epilepsy-aphasia spectrum (EAS) disorders, mutations in the glutamate receptor ionotropic N-methyl-D-aspartate type subunit 2A (GRIN2A) have become important for screening the disease. Research into the phenotypic variability of several types of neurologic impairment involving these mutations is in progress. However, the non-neurological problems related to these mutations are poorly understood. EAS disorders usually have epileptic, cognitive, or behavioral manifestations. In this case report, we present a female patient with epilepsy, delay in expressive language and social development, and intellectual disability with low intelligence quotient and memory quotient, but normal motor development. Through genetic analysis, she was found to have a missense and a nonsense mutation in GRIN2A (c.1770A>C; p.Lys509Asn and c.3187G>T; p.Glu1063∗, respectively) and we consider the nonsense mutation as 'pathogenic variant'. She was also discovered to have congenital hypothyroidism, growth hormone deficiency and Rathke's cleft cyst in the brain, which were previously unknown features of GRIN2A mutation. Our findings should widen understanding of the spectrum of GRIN2A phenotypes, and emphasize the need for more research into the association between GRIN2A mutations and non-neurologic clinical presentations.
The visceral ganglion and the right parietal ganglion of the African giant snail, Achatina fulica, consists of two hemispheres, each in left and right side, respectively, like a butterfly. The surface of cortex and medulla in the two ganglions are crowded with nerve cells, but nerve fibers form a network at the middle portion. The nerve cells in the cortex and medulla of the visceral ganglion and the right parietal ganglion are classified into the following four classes according to their sizes: giant (above 200 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, in diameter), large (60-70 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, in diameter), middle (30-40 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, in diameter) and small (10-15 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, in diameter) nerve cells, respectively. The giant and large nerve cells are rarely found(20-22 eas. in total) while the middle and small nerve cells are found in large quantities (middle: 400-500 eas., small: 700-800 eas.). In the AB/AY double staining, the giant nerve cell is identified as light yellow cells (LYC), while large and middle none cells as dark green cells (DGC) or yellow green cells (YGC), and small nerve cells as yellow cells (YC) or blue cells (BC), The DGC, which reacts positively to somatostatin immunostain reaction, inhibits the secretion of the growth control hormone. The giant and large nerve cells are identified to do the functions of phagocytosis as well as neurosecretion.
The present investigation deals with the analysis of wave motion in the layer of an anisotropic, initially stressed, fiber reinforced thermoelastic medium. Secular equations for symmetric and skew-symmetric modes of wave propagation in completely separate terms are derived. The amplitudes of displacements and temperature distribution were also obtained. Finally, the numerical solution was carried out for Cobalt and the dispersion curves, amplitudes of displacements and temperature distribution for symmetric and skew-symmetric wave modes are presented to evince the effect of anisotropy. Some particular cases are also deduced.
