Laboratory determination of strength and deformation behavior of clean sands and gravels has always been challenging due to the difficulty in obtaining their undisturbed samples. An alternative solution to this problem is to develop correlations between mechanical properties of cohesionless soils and their gradation characteristics. This study presents database of 3 natural sands with 11 varying particle size gradation curves to allow investigating relationships between mean particle size, maximum and minimum void ratio, relative density and shear strength of the test soils. Direct shear tests were performed at relative densities of 50, 75 and 95% to explore the effects of gradation and density on the angle of internal friction of the modeled sand samples. It is found that the mean grain size D₅₀ bears good correlations with void ratio range (e_max - e_min) and peak angle of internal friction 𝜙'_peak. The generated regression models are in good agreement with published literature and can be considered as reliable for natural sands in Pakistan. These empirical correlations can save considerable time and efforts involved in laboratory and field testing.

Nowadays, multimedia and Hypermedia become hot topics in information industry. Due to high capacity of media storage and fast communication network, it is possible to exchange text data as well as image, moving picture and voice. Especially to apply hypermedia under CALS standard environment, the relation between international standard and CALS standard needs to be considered. This study introduces conceptual background and processing model of HyTime (Hypermedia Time-based Structuring Language) which is a specification of hypermedia exchange, Hyper ODA (Hyper Open Document Architecture) which is a major multimedia communication basis, MMCF (Multimedia Communication Forum), AHM(Amsterdam Hypermedia Model), and DSRM(DAVIC System Reference Model) reference model which helps determination of hypermedia communication specification Although they are international standard, provisional standard or non-standard, it discusses the Possibility of adopting them as CALS standard. Hence, this paper chooses the best recommend for CALS among these models.

In recent, most'of automobile industries adopt the concept of JIT production. According to the concept, the paternal manufacturers require their suppliers to supply parts just in time, so it is very important for a subcontractor to produce the parts in the appointed time of delivery. This study develops a production information system for Woosin Industry, which is one of such subcontractors of Hyundai Motors Company(HMC). The system is developed for use in Client/Server environment. In this study, the following three modules are developed, i. e., the production scheduling module, the sales management module to deal with the information about orders of HMC, delivery of parts, and bill collecting, and the module for supporting material requirements planning and purchase of material.

기존의 종이책은 다양한 스마트 모바일기기의 활발한 보급으로 인해 전용 단말기와 뷰어 앱(Veiwer App)을 통해 전자책(e-book)으로 서비스되고 있다. 최근에는 텍스트(Text) 중심의 전자책과 달리, 텍스트와 함께 동영상, 다양한 상호작용 요소를 중심으로 하는 앱북(App book)의 형태로 진화되고 있다. 아이패드(iPad)용 앱스토어(App Store)에서는 도서 관련 앱이 28%를 차지할 정도로 앱북 시장이 빠르게 성장함에도 불구하고, 여러 가지 전자책 전용 단말기, 뷰어 앱 UI(User Interface) 관련 연구들에 비해 앱북의 콘텐츠 및 UI에 대한 연구가 상대적으로 부족한 상황이다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 앱북 콘텐츠의 표시 방법에 따라 3개의 유형으로 분류하고, 대표 앱북을 선정하여, 콘텐츠의 객체 표시방법에 대해 분석하고, 상호작용 요소들을 분석하였다. 이를 통해, 객체 별 상호작용 요소를 고려한 전자잡지형 앱북의 콘텐츠 표시 방법 프레임워크를 설계하였다.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the acoustic characteristics of the French vowel [e] and Korean [i] and to seek a way of understanding them from a phonological point of view. These two vowels have similar distributional properties, i.e. they alternate with zero in some contexts. Therefore, in both languages, they are not found when immediately followed by a nucleus with phonetic content and in word-final positions. We firstly compare the two vowels by measuring the actual frequencies of the formants, pitch and energy using CSL. We also consider whether the realisation of the two vowels is affected by the speed of speech sounds. In order to show that realisation of the two vowels in both languages is not arbitrary, rather predicted, we will introduce the notion of proper government, proposed and developed by Kaye (1987, 1990) and Charette (1991).

This study is to investigate dissatisfaction behavior of customers who purchase products on the Internet shopping mall and to find customers' dissatisfaction behavior types for effectively responding to that. Managing dissatisfaction behaviors are related to the customer satisfaction. To conduct this study, Call Center data was collected and analysed by qualitative method. The results showed that dissatisfaction of product quality and disappointment have different effects on post--purchase behaviors. Customers who feel more dissatisfaction with product quality showed the aggressive response such as exchange, refund, while customers who feel disappointment are likely to switch the shopping mall or to cancel the order. These results of customers' dissatisfaction behaviors indicate that company has to manage both product quality and the customer's experience dimension.

Blancou로서 프랑스 국립수의식품연구원(CNEVA) 산하의 광견병 및 야생동물 병리연구소(Laboratoire d'Etudes sul la Rage et de la Pathologie des Animaux Sauvages)에 책임자로 재직한 바 있으며, 1991년 이후 현재에는 국제수역사무국(O.I.E)의 사무총장(Director-general)직을 맡고 있다.

Listeria monocytogenes is a representative foodborne pathogen and causes listeriosis. Enterococcus faecium CJNU 2524 was confirmed to produce a bacteriocin with anti-listerial activity. To establish optimal culture conditions for the production of the bacteriocin from E. faecium CJNU 2524, different media (MRS and BHI broth) and temperatures (25℃, 30℃, and 37℃) were investigated. The results showed that the optimal culture conditions were MRS broth and 25℃ or 30℃ temperatures. The crude bacteriocin was stable in a broad range of pH conditions (2.0-10.0), temperatures (60℃-100℃), and organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetone, acetonitrile, and chloroform). The bacteriocin activity was abolished when treated with protease but not α-amylase or lipase, indicating the proteinaceous nature of the bacteriocin. Finally, the bacteriocin showed a bactericidal mode of action against L. monocytogenes. Therefore, it can be a biopreservative candidate for controlling L. monocytogenes in dairy and meat products.

The fixing number of a graph G is the smallest order of a subset S of its vertex set V (G) such that the stabilizer of S in G, ��S(G) is trivial. Let G1 and G2 be the disjoint copies of a graph G, and let g : V (G1) → V (G2) be a function. A functigraph FG consists of the vertex set V (G1) ∪ V (G2) and the edge set E(G1) ∪ E(G2) ∪ {uv : v = g(u)}. In this paper, we study the behavior of fixing number in passing from G to FG and find its sharp lower and upper bounds. We also study the fixing number of functigraphs of some well known families of graphs like complete graphs, trees and join graphs.

In e-commerce environment, security should be considered as an essential factor for success. In this paper, we analyze security requirements for e-commerce system, and it is focused on the practical usage, not theoretical contribution, in the field of e-commerce security. To identify the security requirements being specific to e-commerce environment, the researches related to e-commerce security are surveyed and a phase of Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) are used to determine the relative importance of e-commerce security factors. Since researchers and practitioners can have significantly different views because of each different work environment, we divide the professionals into two respondents' group. This survey result can be useful security guidelines in the development of e-commerce service system from the initial system development step to the completion.
