  • On-line education is activated in many knowledge domains and institutions, the effectiveness is under the question. Even though the role of e-moderator for on-line course is very important, but this role has been abandoned both by instructor and course administrator. On the other hand, open source solutions have made it possible to implement on-line for free of charge, but not many people know how to use it. This paper describes how to install open source on-line learning environment and how to administrate learning by being a good e-moderator. Moodle is selected as an implementing LMS(Learning Management System). The environment is installed and serving well for teaching two engineering education subjects: JAVA and Electrical Machines. The practical tips for installment and administration are presented with examples.

  • Recently, digital convergence, whose core demand is OSMU (One Sourse Multi Use),has been the main topic in e-learning domain and industry. However, the existing web learning content and the new resource developed toprovide contents to different learning environment must be processed to adapt the new learning settings, which causes the cost and time problem, So in this paper we design and implement a Java based SCORM content transcoding system which can transcode the SCORM-based learning content into MHP-based DiTV content in order to adapt t-learning environment using DiTV, which is closer to our real life. Using this system which has ability of inter-operation, reuse, highly-use, the problem mentioned above can be solved well. Moreover, it is possible for a learner who is not familiar with computer to study using DiTV instead of PC.

  • In order to provide a tailored education for learners within the ubiquitous environment, it is critical to undertake an analysis of the learning activities of learners. For this purpose, SCORM (Sharable Contents Object Reference Model), IMS LD (Instructional Management System Learning Design) and other standards provide learning design support functions, such as, progress checks. However, in order to apply these types of standards, contents packaging is required, and due to the complicated standard dimensions, the facilitation level is lower than the work volume when developing the contents and this requires additional work when revision becomes necessary. In addition, since the learning results are managed by the server there is the problem of the OS being unable to save data when the network is cut off. In this study, a system is realized to manage the actions of learners through the event interception of a web-browser by using event hooking. Through this technique, all HTMLbased contents can be facilitated again without additional work and saving and analysis of learning results are available to improve the problems following the application of standards. Furthermore, the ubiquitous learning environment can be supported by tracking down learning results when the network is cut off.

  • It is well known that the Kano model measures customer satisfaction and classifies quality attributes into must-be, attractive as well as one-dimensional. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the dynamics of e-learning quality attributes by applying the proposed method using Kano's satisfaction index in the rapidly changing online learning environment. For this, the current study examined 27 e-learning quality attributes and conducted a comparative study using Kano's results obtained in 2013 and 2020. The result shows that the dynamics of quality attributes suggested by Kano(2001) is confirmed in the case of e-learning. The proposed approach shows better results in terms of Kano's direct classification method, and has potential application areas such as IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) in the area of risk assemement. Some suggestions for better understanding of the proposed SI-DI diagram are also included in this study.
