  • The extension of sunspot number series and auroral observations backward in time is of considerable interest for dynamo theory, solar activity and climate research. It was known that the Maunder minimum corresponded to a unusual cold so called little ice age in Europe and the appearance of sunspot had a close relation to the occurrence of aurora. Therefore we have examined ancient records of sunspots and aurorae with indirect solar proxies during this period and have studied for the features and peculiarities of solar activity with the relation of the climate variation.

  • Magnetic fields in clusters of galaxies play a critical role in shaping up the intracluster medium. Their existence has been established through observations of synchrotron emission, especially from radio relics and halos, as well as observations of rotation measure. In the so-called Sausage relic, which is one of Mpc-size giant radio relics detected in the outskirts of merging clusters, for instance, the magnetic fields are believed to have a few ${\mu}G$ strength and a Mpc scale. The observed magnetic fields are conjectured to be produced by the process of small-scale turbulence dynamo. To investigate the dynamo origin, we simulate the development of turbulence and the follow-up amplification of magnetic fields in galaxy clusters using a three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamical(MHD) code. Turbulence is induced in highly stratified backgrounds expected in clusters, and driven sporadically mimicking major mergers. We here present preliminary results, aiming to answer whether the turbulence dynamo scenario can explain observed magnetic fields in clusters of galaxies.

  • BIM was introduced under the leadership of public institutions, and projects such as road, railway, and site creation, including BIM tasks, are currently being ordered. In addition, as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(MOLIT) is pushing for the full design of BIM, public institutions under its jurisdiction are also pushing for the full design of BIM. Full design of BIM means that all designs are done with BIM. Public institutions' BIM guidelines only require BIM deliverables, and there is a limited direction for the BIM design process to respond to traditional design approaches. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a BIM-based design process corresponding to the full design of BIM.

  • Information sharing is the main purpose of realizing interoperability between the application domains of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). This paper presents and describes the workflow of BIM-GIS interoperability for highway traffic information sharing. An innovative and automatic Dynamo process was presented to transfer the shapes and attributes of the shapefile from GIS to BIM. On the basis of the transformed BIM model, the detailed traffic data was added and expressed in the form of families and sheets to expand traffic information. Then, the shapes of the model were swept as solid geometries in the BIM environment applying Dynamo. The expanded BIM model was transferred back to the GIS system using the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) scheme. The mutual communication between BIM and GIS was achieved based on Dynamo and IFC. This paper provides a convenient and feasible way to realize BIM-GIS interoperability for highway traffic information sharing according to the characteristics of highways in terms of graphic expression and model creation.

  • Multipurpose Dam, it produces electric energy by converting the potential energy into kinetic energy utilizing its head and quantity of the water. However, in this process, since during the time when the turbine connected to the hydraulic turbine generator revolves, there occurs a ceaseless loud noise, and due to this condition, it is true state that those people who work at inside of the power plant are damaging as hard as they are unable to concentrate on their work. Not only this, because the hydro-electric power generator room that locates at middle section between the hydraulic turbine room and the office is very large space volume, also since it was constructed chiefly by the reflecting material, it is functioning of amplify the noise when operating the generator, the soundproof measure against this condition is necessitated. On such viewpoint, I have presented the problem point of the relevant Hydraulic turbine dynamo and Hydraulic turbine dynamo room, and after improve such problem point, this study has ever investigated the satisfying degree about the noise-reduction at before and after of the improvement of soundproof measure, using the Auralizational technique that can experience virtual acoustic field. It is considering that such result could be utilized usefully as the fundamental material hereafter for the acoustic performance of the hydro-electric power generator room in dam and when its construction.

  • In recent years, researchers are increasingly trying to use BIM-based 3D models for BIM nD design such as 4D (3D + Time) and 5D (4D + Cost). However, there are still many problems in efficiently using process management based on the BIM information created at each design stage. Therefore, this study proposes a method to automate 4D and 5D design support in each design stage by using BIM-based Dynamo algorithm. To do this, I implemented an algorithm that can automatically input the process information needed for 4D and 5D by using Revit's Add-in program, Dynamo. In order to support the 4D design, the algorithm was created to enable automatic process simulation by synchronizing process simulation information (Excel file) through the Navisworks program, BIM software. The algorithm was created to automatically enable process simulation. And to support the 5D design, the algorithm was developed to enable automatic extraction of the information needed for mass production from the BIM model by utilizing the dynamo algorithm. Therefore, in order to verify the 4D and 5D design support algorithms, we verified the applicability through consultation with related workers and experts. As a result, it has been demonstrated that it is possible to manage information about process information and to quickly extract information from design and design changes. In addition, BIM data can be used to manage and input the necessary process information in 4D and 5D, which is advantageous for shortening construction time and cost. This study will make it easy to improve design quality and manage design information, and will be the foundation for future building automation research.

  • We studied the large scale dynamo process in a system forced by helical magnetic field. The dynamo process is basically nonlinear, but can be linearized with 𝛼&𝛽 coefficients and large scale magnetic field $\bar{B}$. This is very useful to the investigation of solar (stellar) dynamo. A coupled semi-analytic equations based on statistical mechanics are used to investigate the exact evolution of 𝛼&𝛽. This equation set needs only magnetic helicity ${\bar{H}}_M({\equiv}{\langle}{\bar{A}}{\cdot}{\bar{B}}{\rangle},\;{\bar{B}}={\nabla}{\times}{\bar{A}})$ and magnetic energy ${\bar{E}}_M({\equiv}{\langle}{\bar{B}}^2{\rangle}/2)$. They are fundamental physics quantities that can be obtained from the dynamo simulation or observation without any artificial modification or assumption. 𝛼 effect is thought to be related to magnetic field amplification. However, in reality the averaged 𝛼 effect decreases very quickly without a significant contribution to ${\bar{B}}$ field amplification. Conversely, 𝛽 effect contributing to the magnetic diffusion maintains a negative value, which plays a key role in the amplification with Laplacian ∇2(= - k2) for the large scale regime. In addition, negative magnetic diffusion accounts for the attenuation of plasma kinetic energy EV(= 〈 U2 〉/2) (U: plasma velocity) when the system is saturated. The negative magnetic diffusion is from the interaction of advective term - U • ∇ B from magnetic induction equation and the helical velocity field. In more detail, when 'U' is divided into the poloidal component Upol and toroidal one Utor in the absence of reflection symmetry, they interact with - B • ∇ U and - U • ∇ B from ∇ × 〈 U × B 〉 leading to 𝛼 effect and (negative) 𝛽 effect, respectively. We discussed this process using the theoretical method and intuitive field structure model supported by the simulation result.
