Daylight is highly beneficial for improving the indoor environmental quality and reducing building energy consumption, daylighting applications are scarcely considered, especially during the Rural standard house models design process, because of lack of previous studies on elderly-light environment and complex simulation process. Therefore, daylighting process were performed using ECOTECT, which has various advantage such as easy user interface and simple simulation processes. Moreover, dynamic daylight simulation were performed using whether data. Static simulation are performed to compute static metrics such as daylight factor, whereas dynamic simulation are performed for dynamic metrics such as daylight autonomy and useful daylight illuminance using annual weather data On the basis of daylight autonomy and useful daylight illuminance analysis result, variations in annual daylight performances. A parametric and regression analysis of the window-to-wall ratio and visible transmittance showed that daylight factor, daylight autonomy increased with window-to-wall ratio and visible transmittance. It can be concluded that this new daylight criteria. useful daylight illuminance, will enable architect to obtain better fenestration design.

Passive Optical Network(PON) architecture is a very simple. However media access protocol is necessary to the PON because the ONUs should share a channel in the upsteam direction. We propose the design of dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm for improved bandwidth utilization in the broad bandwidth access network that uses Ethernet PON. The object of our study shall be to decrease a unused remainder bandwidth of granted timeslot for a upstream traffic transmission. We propose that OLT notifies ONU of maximum transmission window during discovery and ONU request a amount under maximum transmission window after it checks a frame length. We confirm that the proposed algorithm shown improving performance from bandwidth utilization and queueing delay point of view through the simulation result.

Recently, demands on light weight, high strength, and low noise or vibration have led to the design of complicated structural systems. Although finite elements [1], mode synthesis [2], and statistical energy analysis [3] can be used to compute the dynamic response of such systems, the structural complexity has made the interpretation of the results of such analysis difficult. Many researchers in dynamic analysis have sought to further develop existing theories or develop alternate methods to obtain greater insight in the behavior of large massive primary systems (P systems) with connected light secondary systems (S systems). Some recent research includes work by Sackman and Kelly [4], Sackman et al.[5], Der Kiureghian et al.[6], and Igusa and Der Kiureghian [7-9] who have combined mode synthesis concepts, matrix algebraic theory, and perturbation methods for characterizing weakly-coupled structural systems. A major limitation of these works are that they are limited to lumped mass S systems. In this paper, the general ideas in the Refs.[4-9] are used to study continuous S systems and the method to reduce the complexity, studied in the works by Igusa, Achenbach, and Min [10,11], is developed into the frequency window method.
With many changes such as the increase in telemarketing, internet marketing and enforcement of bancassurance, the Korean life insurance companies have undergone a startling transformation. The purpose of this paper is to measure and analyse the static/dynamic efficiency of Korean life insurance companies employing Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). As the result of the static efficiency analysis, we provide CCR, BCC and scale efficiency, return to scale, and reference set of Korean life insurance companies in 2004. And we also describe about the trend and stability of their efficiency for 7 years(1998-2004) in the dynamic efficiency analysis.

Path planning is an essential problem to make virtual characters navigate in many applications including computer games. In many cases, multiple characters move in a group and qualitative aspects of planned paths are emphasized rather than optimality unlike Robotics. In this paper, we propose a two-level path planning algorithm in which the global path is planned for a single character specified as a leader and then the local path is planned to avoid dynamic obstacles while the group following this path. The space for group movement is achieved in the form of square grid array called a grid window. Member characters are located relatively to the leader within a space and moved. The static environment is reduced to the configuration space of this grid window to generate a roadmap on which a grid window can move. In local path planning, only the leader avoids dynamic obstacles by using an artificial potential field and the rest of members are located relatively to the leader in the grid window, which reduces computational load. Efficient algorithms to implement the proposed planning methods are introduced. The simulation results show that a group can handle with dynamic obstacles effectively while moving along the planned path for a static environment.

This paper presents a technique to enhance TDAC in the AC-3 algorithm. To reduce block boundary noise without decreasing the performance of transform coding, new special window adopted. They improves the defect of the AC-3 algorithm that could not properly cancel aliasing in the tansient period. In addition, a fast MDCT calculation algorithm based on a fast Fourier Transform, is adopted.

The effect of dynamic strain aging (DSA) on the leak-before-break (LBB) analysis was estimated through the evaluation of leakage-size-crack and flaw stability in SA106 Gr.C piping steel. Also. the results were represented as a form of "LBB allowable load window". In the DSA temperature region. the leakage-size-crack length was smaller than that at other temperatures and it increased with increasing tensile strain rate. In the results of flaw stability analysis. the lowest instability load appeared at the temperature corresponding to minimum J- R curve which was caused by DSA. The instability load near the plant operating temperature depended on the loading rate of J-R data. and decreased with increasing tensile strain rate. These are due to the strain hardening characteristic and strain rate sensitivity of DSA. In the "LBB allowable load window". LBB allowable region was the narrowest at the temperature and loading conditions where DSA occurs.

The dynamic window approach(DWA) is a well known technique for reactive collision avoidance. It shows safe and efficient performance in real-world experiments. However, a robot can get stuck in local minima because no information about the connectivity of the free space is used to determine the motion. The global DWA can solve this problem of local minima by adding a navigation function. Even with the global DWA, it is still difficult for a robot to execute an abrupt change in its direction, for example, entering from the corridor to a doorway. This paper proposes a modified global DWA using the included angles of waypoints extracted from an optimal path. This scheme enables the robot to decelerate in advance before turning into the doorway. Therefore the robot can reach the goal position more safely and efficiently at high speeds.

This paper proposes a new data correction technique that transforms anomalies in time series data into normal values. With the recent development of IT technology, a vast amount of time-series data is being collected through sensors. However, due to sensor failures and abnormal environments, most of time-series data contain a lot of anomalies. If we build a predictive model using original data containing anomalies as it is, we cannot expect highly reliable predictive performance. Therefore, we utilizes the LSTM-GAN model to detect anomalies in the original time series data, and combines DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) and GAN techniques to replace the anomaly data with normal data in partitioned window units. The basic idea is to construct a GAN model serially by applying the statistical information of the window with normal distribution data adjacent to the window containing the detected anomalies to the DTW so as to generate normal time-series data. Through experiments using open NAB data, we empirically prove that our proposed method outperforms the conventional two correction methods.
