A Proposal of a New Model of Wheel and Tractor Dynamics that Includes Lift Resistance

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a new dynamic model of wheels and agricultural tractors through verification of the existence of " lift resistance " and "perpendicular adhesion" which also can be called " contra-retractive adhesion". The existence of these forces was proved through experiments including the development of a sensor which can measure the forces acting on a wheel accurately. Consequently " perpendicular adhesion ratio" which is defined as the ratio of the perpendicular adhesion to the distributed load was observed to be in the range of 0.05 to 0.3. This means the influence of the " lift resistance " is comparable to that of motion resistance in wheel dynamics. The perpendicular adhesion ratio was observed to decrease logarithmically with the increase of ground contact pressure, and to increase linearly with increase of the travel speed of the wheel . Some examples to express the new dynamic model compared to the conventional dynamics are explained.

컨테이너 하역작업 시 갠트리 크레인의 유연다물체 동역학 모델링 및 윤하중 해석 (Multi-flexible Dynamic Modeling and Wheel Load Analysis of a Rubber Tired Gantry Crane in Container Cargo Working)

  • 본 논문은 갠트리 크레인의 설계를 위해 컨테이너 하역작업 시 특정하중 조건하의 RTGC(Rubber Tired Gantry Crane)의 동적거동과 그에 따른 윤하중을 분석한 내용을 기술하고 있다. 먼저 RTGC의 동적거동을 살펴보기 위해 거대 구조물인 크레인의 유한요소 모델을 개발하고 고유진동수와 고유모드의 모달시험결과를 이용하여 유한요소모델을 검증하였다. RTGC의 기타 부속품은 3차원 CAD모델링을 통해 다물체 동역학해석 소프트웨어인 ADAMS에서 강체로 모델링하였다. 본 연구에서 하중 조건은 일반적인 컨테이너의 이송조건(OP1)과 외부부하조건 없이 단순히 트롤리를 이용하여 컨테이너를 하역하는 2가지 경우로 고려하였다. 해석 결과 RTGC의 컨테이너 작업 시 발생하는 크레인의 진동은 거대 구조물의 강성과 변형에 주로 기인함을 확인하였으며 이러한 크레인의 진동은 RTGC의 움직임을 발생시켜 컨테이너 하역작업 불능 등의 거동을 발생시킬 수 있음을 분석할 수 있었다.

한국형 틸팅차량 완화곡선 주행시 궤도작용력 발생경향 분석 (Analysis of Occurrence Tendency of Rail Force According to Running the Hanvit 200 Train on Transition Curve Track)

  • 국내에서 개발된 한국형 틸팅열차는 현재 시제차량 제작을 마치고, 충북선을 시작으로 시운전 시험이 단계적으로 진행되고 있다. 시운전 시험에서는 한국형 틸팅열차의 시스템 안정화를 위해 차량 외에 궤도, 구조물, 전차선, 신호 등 각 시스템 상호간의 인터페이스 검증이 필요하며, 선로구축물 분야에서는 개발차량의 증속이 궤도구조에 미치는 영향을 비롯한 궤도부담력 검토를 통해 궤도구조의 안정성과 주행안정성 평가가 수행되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에 서는 완화곡선구간을 주행하는 틸팅차량(한빛200호), 고속차량(KTX) 및 일반차량(무궁화)에 의해 궤도에서 발생하는 동적 윤중 및 횡압을 측정하였다. 측정데이터를 통해 차종별 주행패턴을 비교하고 윤중과 횡압의 증감율을 확률적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 고정식 대치구조를 갖는 기존 차량의 캔트변화에 따른 발생 윤중 및 횡압의 분포범위는 일정 범위 내에서 작은 편차로 분포하였다. 반면 진자식 대차구조인 틸팅차량의 경우 캔트변화에 따른 차체의 틸팅작용에 의해 비교적 넓은 범위에 큰 편차로 궤도작용력이 분포하는 것으로 나타났다.

철도차량의 Kinematic Envelope에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Kinematic Envelope of the Railway Vehicle)

  • Studied in this paper was the kinematic envelope of the railway vehicle to calculate the lateral displacement using the multi-body dynamic simulation program (VAMPIRE) and the BASS 501. The lateral displacement of railway vehicle is occurred by the clearance between wheel flange and rail, the track irregularity, the property of each suspension of vehicle and the cant of track etc. The results of analysis shown that Vehicle is not interfere with subway platform in any conditions namely the tare and full load condition, the wheel wear condition and the stationary and running of vehicle.

영종대교 강직결 궤도구조의 동적거동에 관한 연구 (Dynamic Behavior of Direct Fixation Track on Yeongjong Grand Bridge)

  • 본 연구에서는 영종대교를 구성하고 있는 교량형식(트러스교, 현수교)별 열차종류(AREX, AREX Express, KTX, KTX-Sancheon) 및 열차속도가 강직결 궤도구조의 동적거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 현장측정을 수행하였다. 현장측정결과를 바탕으로 궤도충격계수 및 열차주행안정성(탈선계수, 윤중감소율, 레일두부횡변위)을 국내, 외 관련기준 및 법규와의 비교하여 영종대교 교량상 강직결 궤도구조의 동적거동에 영향을 미치는 열차하중 및 속도의 효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 영종대교 교량형식별 궤도의 동적거동의 차이는 뚜렷하지 않으나 열차하중의 크기에 보다 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 열차속도 증가에 따른 궤도충격계수의 증가와 이에 따른 궤도부담력의 증가수준을 감안한 영종대교 강직결 궤도구조의 보강방안 수립이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • With increased loads in steered wheels and wider section tires the effort required at the steering wheel makes the driver's job very tiring and difficult. Improvements such as an increase in the mechanical efficiency of the steering system or lower steering box ratios help the reduce driver fatigue. Now using of power steering is increasing. It needs to be considering parts size of steering system as using power steering. This paper presents adjust part size of steering system form estimating reliability according to reducing torque under the dynamic load, In this paper, the spider of universial joint is selected to prove relation between steering and power steering reliability.

CAE를 이용한 휠 내구성능 동역학 해석을 위한 연구 (The Study on Dynamic Analysis of Durability of a Wheel using CAE)

  • There is a certain limit to reproduce phenomena between the real vehicle and road, since the existing methods to verify durability of the wheel are mostly uni-axial tests. And the change of durability of the wheel can't be predicted since these tests don't consider the camber angle and lateral force as important factors. In this paper, the FE models of the wheel-tire and drum are created. Then, the vertical and lateral loads are applied to wheel-tire assembly and the camber angle is applied by inclining the wheel-tire assembly to the drum. Based on the analysis result, the crack position is predicted to be created in the body of the wheel. The variation of the stress according to the camber angle is verified and the maximum spot of the stress changes continually.

  • The objective of this study is to measure rim surface adhesion and to calculate motion resistance produced by the adhesion acting on the rim section of a circular wheel under sticky soil condition. The mechanisms of generating motion resistance by the adhesion on a circular wheel were analyzed through wheel motion. Experiments were conducted in an indoor soil bin that contains loam soil. A circular steel wheel was used for experiments. A part of the wheel rim was cut off, and transducers which can measure normal and tangential forces were installed in this section. Calculated motion resistance at a part of the rim section was superposed for one wheel rotation as motion resistance produced by the rim surface adhesion. The motion resistance increased with increasing the dynamic load. Ratio of the motion resistance to total motion resistance measured by an axis transducer was about 23 to 46 % in this study.

  • In this paper, a numerical method for vehicle-track interaction analysis is developed to evaluate vertical dynamic force subjected to rail surface. A vehicle is modelled by lumped masses system and track by multi layered continuous beam system. The equation of motion of vehicle and track interaction system is derived by considering compatibility condition at the contact points between wheel and rail. The input vibration source is given by the empirical formula of power spectral density of track irregularity, which is suggested by FRA. Using this method, dynamic impact factors with the train speed are evaluated.

  • The dynamic load effects are conveyed to the railway bridges through tracks which are generated by moving trains The dynamic load effects may vary due to the dynamic characteristics of the applied vehicle loads and the railway bridges containing the track system. However, the track effects have been neglected or simplified by spring elements in the most studies since it is quite complex to consider the track systems in the dynamic analysis models of railway bridges. In this study, track system on railway bridges is modeled using a three-dimensional discrete-support model that can simulate the load carrying behavior of tracks. In addition, this program is developed with the precise 20-car model and a continuous PSC(prestressed concrete) box girder bridge, which is the main bridge type of Korea Train express(KTX). Three-dimensional elements are used for both. The dynamic response of railway bridges is found to be affected depending on whether the track model is considered or not. The influencing rate depends on the traveling speed and different wheel-axle distance. The dynamic bridge response is decreased remarkably by the track systems around the resonant frequency. Therefore, the resonance effect can be reduced by modifying the track properties in the railway bridge.
