FSR로 구성된 촉각 센서 패드용 Readout 회로의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Readout Circuit for a Tactile Sensor Pad Based on Force Sensing Resistors)

  • A readout circuit for a tactile sensor pad based on force sensing resistors was proposed, which was composed of an analog signal conditioning circuit and a digital circuit with a microcontroller. The conventional signal conditioning circuit has a dc offset voltage in the output signal, which results from the reference voltage applied to the FSR devices. The offset voltage reduces the dynamic range of the circuit and makes it difficult to operate the circuit under a low voltage power supply. In the proposed signal conditioning circuit, the dc offset voltage was removed completely. The microcontroller with A/D converter and D/A converter was used to enlarge the measurement range of pressure. For this, the microcontroller adjusts the FSR reference voltage according to the resistance magnitude of FSR under pressure. The operation of the proposed readout circuit which was connected to a tactile sensor pad with $5{\times}10$ FSR array was verified experimentally. The experimental results show the proposed readout circuit has the wider measurement range of pressure than the conventional circuit. The proposed circuit is suitable for low voltage and low power applications.

  • It is necesary that analog buffer circuit should drive an external load in the VLSI design such as switched capacitor efilter (SCF), D/A converter, A/d converter, telecommunicatin circuit, etc. The conventional CMOS buffer circuit have many probvlems according as CMOS technique. Firstly, Capacity of large load ar enot able to opeate well. The problem can be solve to use class AB stages. But large load are operated a difficult, because an element of existing CMOS has a quadratic functional relation with inptu and outut voltage versus output current. Secondly, whole circuit of dynamic rang edecrease, because a range of inpt and output voltages go down according as increasing of intergration rate drop supply voltage. In this paper suggests that new differential CMOS line driver make out of operating an external of large load. In telecommunication's chip case transmission line could be a load. It is necessary that a load operate line driver. The proposal circuit is planned to hav ea high generation power rnage of voltage with preservin linearity. And circuit of capability is inspected through simulation program (HSPICE).

  • In this paper, a comparative study of modified phase-angle, extinction-angle, and pulse width modulation control techniques for the purpose of power factor improvement of single-phase AC-AC voltage regulators have been illustrated as applied to a single-phase ac voltage converter by an example of the widely used single-phase induction motor as a dynamic load. Observations on power factor, displacement factor and total harmonic distortion factor are described and discussed on the basis of the simulated and measured results of this work.

  • This paper presents a simple method to compensate reactive/harmonic current components in power lines, with voltage type current controlled converter. The method proposed differs from conventional methods in that it does not rely on explict evaluation of active power. Instead, the closed-loop control of the do link voltage of the compensator plays a major role in adjusting the compensation current. It is shown that the system can be modelled as a simple linear system, which facilitates th analytical approach to the system characteristics. The dynamic performances are examined through the digital simulation and some aspects on the controller design are discussed. Experimental results showed good agreement with the anticipate performance

  • The phase-lock technique is applied to a three-phase semi-bridge type battery charger system. Using an inner fast dynamic loop, the phase-locked voltage control (PLVC) technique of three-phase semi-bridge converter is proposed to give a frequency synchronism and to reduce the subharmonics due to the unbalance of transformer or power line. To protect the power devices, the two stage soft-start, function with softly locking the phase and softly increasing the current is presented. As limiting the reference voltage of the inner voltage control loop, muti-lock phenomena are removed on the PLVC loop. A current limit function is also proposed to limit the current of battery and converter. The proposed controller is confirmed through experiment results.

  • 본 논문은 Custom Power의 입력 전압 Sag 보상을 위해 사용되는 PWM Boost AC-AC 컨버터의 정적 특성 및 동적 특성의 모델링 및 해석을 다룬다. 특히 회로 DQ 변환 기법을 사용하여 기본파 영역에서 시스템의 특성을 모두 포함하는 등가회로를 구하고, 전압이득과 입력역률에 대한 해석적인 결과를 도출한다. 또한, 제어의 관점에서 유용한 일정한 동작점 하에서의 선형화된 상태방정식을 구한다. 끝으로, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 등가회로 모델링과 해석이 타당함을 확인하였다.

  • A grid connection algorithm is proposed for the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) which is widely adopted in high power variable speed wind turbine. Before the stator of DFIG is connected to grid, rotor-side converter is used to control the induced stator voltage. As a result, the stator transient current is limited below the rate value during the connection by the proposed synchronization of the stator voltage to the grid voltage. A wind power generation simulator using DC motor and wound-rotor induction generator is built and the dynamic characteristics of proposed algorithm is verified experimentally.

Improved Direct Power Control of Shunt Active Power Filter with Minimum Reactive Power Variation and Minimum Apparent Power Variation Approaches

  • Direct Power Control technique has become popular in the grid connected Voltage Source Converter (VSC) applications due to its simplicity, direct voltage vector selection and improved dynamic performance. In this paper, a direct method to determine the effect of voltage vector on the instantaneous active and reactive power variations is developed. An alternative Look Up Table is proposed which minimizes the commutations in the converter and results in minimum reactive power variation. The application of suggested table is established for Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) application. The Predictive Direct Power Control method, which minimizes apparent power variation, is further investigated to reduce commutations in converters. Both the methods are validated using 2 kVA laboratory prototype of Shunt Active Power Filters (SAPF).

Capacitors Energy Strategy Based Cascaded H-Bridge Converter for DC Port Failures

  • In this paper, a capacitors energy strategy based Cascaded H-bridge Converter (CHBC) for steady DC link voltage is proposed, which allow the CHBC to work while DC power fails. The topology of the CHBC is analyzed to construct the proposed strategy. The capacitors energy strategy is deduced based on the principle that the DC link voltage should be steady, the switch state should be smooth and the switch frequency should be normal. Experiments based on a three-module prototype, including static experiment, start experiment and step change experiment, proves the correctness of the strategy. They also verified the excellent fault tolerance ability and good dynamic performance of the proposed strategy.

  • 본 논문에서는 직류 전력을 공급하기 위한 사이리스터 컨버터의 출력 응답특성을 개선하기 위해 데이터 병렬 루프를 가지는 PID 제어 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 방식에서 사이리스터 컨버터의 점호각은 부하전류와 지령전압에 따라 결정된 점호각을 제어기와 병렬로 연결된 데이터 루프에서 발생하고, 이 점호각에 의해 발생하는 출력전압의 오차를 PID 제어기에서 보상하여 제어하는 방식이다. 제안된 방식의 실제적인 적용에서, 부하전류에 의해 병렬 데이터 루프의 점호각이 급격하게 변동하는 것을 억제하기 위해 간단한 디지털 저역통과 필터를 통하여 부하전류와 지령전압의 크기에 따라 룩-업 테이블 방식의 점호각이 결정되도록 설계하였다. 제안된 방식은 50[A]급의 사이리스터컨버터 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.
