In this paper, a new dynamic reference scheme is proposed to improve the read voltage margin better than the previous static reference scheme. The proposed dynamic reference scheme can be helpful in compensating not only the background pattern dependence but also the cell position dependence. The proposed dynamic reference is verified by simulating the CMOS-memristor hybrid circuit using the practical CMOS SPICE and memristor Verilog-A models. In the simulation, the percentage read voltage margin is compared between the previous static reference scheme and the new dynamic reference scheme. Assuming that the critical percentage of read voltage margin is 5%, the memristor array size with the dynamic scheme can be larger by 60%, compared to the array size with the static one. In addition, for the array size of $64{\times}64$, the interconnect resistance in the array with the dynamic scheme can be increased by 30% than the static reference one. For the array size of $128{\times}128$, the interconnect resistance with the proposed scheme can be improved by 38% than the previous static one, allowing more margin on the variation of interconnect resistance.

N-screen is a promising technology to improve support for multimedia multicasting, content sharing, content mobility, media scalability, and seamless mobility. In this paper, the WiMedia distributed-MAC (D-MAC) protocol is adopted for development of a seamless N-screen wireless service. Furthermore, to provide a multi-hop, one source multi-use N-screen service through point to point streaming in a seamless D-MAC protocol, a dynamic multi-frame transmission technology is proposed. In this technology, a dynamic time slot allocation scheme and a multi-hop resource reservation scheme are combined. In the proposed dynamic time slot allocation scheme, two thresholds, a hard threshold and a soft threshold, are included to satisfy the power consumption and delay requirements. A multi-frame DRP reservation scheme is proposed to minimize end-to-end delay during the multi-hop transmissions between N-screen devices. The proposed dynamic multi-frame transmission scheme enhances N-screen performance in terms of the multi-hop link establishment success rate and link establishment time compared to the conventional WiMedia D-MAC system.

In the present work a finite element formulation using dynamic explicit time integration scheme is used for numerical analysis of auto-body panel stamping processes. The lumping scheme is employed for the diagonal mass matrix and linearizing dynamic formulation. A contact scheme is developed by combining the skew boundary condition and direct trial-and-error method. In this work, for economic analysis the faster punch velocity and the mass scaling method are introduced. To investigate the effects of punch velocity and mass scaling, the various values of punch velocity and the various mass scalings are used for numerical analysis. Computations are carried out for analysis of complicated auto-body panel stamping processes such as forming of an oil pan and a fuel tank.
Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a service providing scheme by a service class agreement between a user and a service provider SLA allows that a user can select an expected service class in various service classes provided from a service provider. Recently, SLA management is adapted to support the end-to-end Qos for service users in Beyond 3 Generation (B3G) networks. In B3G networks, SLA provides multiple service classes on access networks so that service classes should be managed to assure the service satisfaction for users. In this paper, we propose a dynamic Qos management scheme by IP traffic class controlling based on SLA in B3G networks. Also, to manage dynamic traffic service, we consider Differentiated services (Diffserv) mechanism for the resource management by SLA. An If service traffic class on SLA can be dynamically changed by Diffserv traffic management to support dynamic end-to-end Qos. Hence, in this paper, we consider the buffer threshold scheme for controlling traffic loads and the traffic level control scheme for implementing the dynamic traffic management by the SLA.

We present a new dynamic routing scheme for multiple autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) systems. There have been so many results concerned with scheduling and routing of multiple AGV systems; however, most of them are only applicable to systems with a small number of AGVs under a low degree of concurrency. With an increased number of AGVs in recent applications, these AGV systems are faced with another problem that has never been occurred in a system with a small number AGVs. This is the stop propagation problem. That is, if a leading AGV stops then all the following AGVs must stop to avoid any collision. In order to resolve this problem, we propose a nonstop preferential detour (NPD) algorithm which is a new dynamic routing scheme employing an election algorithm. For real time computation, we introduce two stage control scheme and propose a new path searching scheme, k-via shortest path scheme for an efficient dynamic routing algorithm. Finally, the proposed new dynamic routing scheme is illustrated by an example.

In this study, the analysis of 2DOF (2 Degree Of Freedom) motion and added resistance of a ship in regular head waves is carried out using RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes) approach. In order to improve the accuracy for large amplitude motions, the dynamic overset scheme is adopted. One of the dynamic overset schemes, Suggar++ is applied to WAVIS which is the in-house RANS code of KRISO (Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering). The grid convergence test is carried out using the present scheme before the analysis. The target hull form is KRISO VLCC tanker (KVLCC2) and 13 wave length conditions are applied. The present scheme shows the improved results comparing with the results of WAVIS2 in the non-inertial reference frame. The dynamic overset scheme is confirmed to give the comparatively better results for the large amplitude motion cases than the non-inertial frame based scheme.

It is essential to maintain hierarchical information properly for efficient XML query processing. Well known approach to represent hierarchical information of XML tree is assigning a specific node number to each node of XML tree. Insertion and deletion of XML node can occur at any position in a dynamic XML tree. A dynamic numbering scheme allows us to add nodes to or delete nodes from an XML tree without relabeling or with relabeling only a few existing nodes of XML tree while executing XML query efficiently. According to W3C XQuery update facility specifications a node can be added as first or last child of the existing node in XML tree. Generating new number for last child requires referencing the number of previous last child. Getting the number of last child is very costly with previous approaches. We have developed a new dynamic numbering scheme PSN which is very effective for insertion of a node as last child. Our approach reduces the time to find last child dramatically by removing sorting of children.
The leaky bucket scheme is a promising method that regulates input traffics for preventive congestion control. In the ATM network, the input traffics are bursty and transmitted at high-speed. In order to get the low loss probability for bursty input traffics, it is known that the leaky bucket scheme with static leaky rate requires larger data buffer and token pool size. This causes the increase of the mean waiting time for an input traffic to pass the policing function, which would be inappropriate for real time traffics such as voice and video. We present the leaky bucket scheme with dynamic leaky rate in which the token generation period changes according to buffer occupancy. In the leaky bucket scheme with dynamic leaky rate, the cell loss probability and the mean waiting time are reduced in comparison with the leaky bucket scheme with static leaky rate. We analyze the performance of the proposed leaky bucket scheme in discrete-time case by assuming arrival process to be Markov-modulated Bernoulli process (MMBP).

In this paper, we study the cross-layer design for the AMC/HARQ-based wireless networks, and propose a new dynamic transmission-mode selection scheme to improve system spectrum efficiency. In the proposed scheme, dynamic thresholds for transmission-mode selection in each packet transmission and retransmission are jointly designed under the constraint of the overall packet error rate. Comparing with the existing schemes, the proposed scheme is inclined to apply higher modulation order at the first several (re)transmissions, which corresponds to higher-rate transmission modes thus higher average system spectrum efficiency. We also extend the cross-layer design to MIMO (Multi-input Multi-output) communication scenarios. Numerical results show that the proposed new dynamic transmission-mode selection scheme generally achieves higher average spectrum efficiency than the conventional and existing cross-layer design.
In this paper, a finite element formulation using dynamic-explicit time integration scheme is used for numerical analysis of Hydro-forming processes. The lumping scheme is employed for the diagonal mass matrix and dynamic explicit formulation. Hydro-forming process for auto-body panel forming is analyzed by using dynamic-explicit finite element method. Further, the simulated results of the Hydro-forming processes are shown and discussed. Its application is being increased especially in the automotive industrial area for the cost reduction, weight saving, and improvement of strength.
