  • The purpose of this study is to analyze investment performance by applying dynamic methodologies that reflect market expectations rather than traditional static methodologies in applying the glide path of target date fund. In calculating market expectations, the number of distributed shares in the ETF market was used, and the dynamic glide path model portfolio considering market expectations in the analysis period from late 2011 to October 2020 could show better results than the existing static glide path. According to the analysis, increasing the portion of risky assets at a time when the number of shares in the ETF's distribution increases, and in the opposite case, reducing the portion of risky assets is advantageous for profit. The results of this study are expected to provide useful theoretical and practical implications for researchers and asset management workers who are interested in knowledge management from a broad perspective beyond the boundary of pension asset management to the public fund market and ETF market.

  • This paper introduces a more effective usage of the limited OVSF cod in compressed mode which is used during inter-frequency/inter-system handover in UTRA(Universal mobile telecommunications system) Terrestrial Radio Access). The usager is to use dynamic common channel which is shared by several users during the compressed mode.

  • To solve inefficient spectrum usage problem under current static spectrum management policy, various kinds of dynamic spectrum access strategies have appeared. Myopic policy, which maximizes immediate throughput, is a simple and robust strategy with reduced complexity. In this paper, we present a simple mathematical model to evaluate the saturation throughput and medium access delay of a myopic policy in the presence of multiple channels.

  • The author introduced 12 session short term dynamic psychotherapy for the intervention of stress related disorders. An examplary case was introduced to suggest the clinal usefulness of time limitted short term dynamic psychotherapy for stress related disorders. It was suggested that the term "stress" should be limitted to certain natural and man-made catastrophies and disasters whose consequences rep quire a total reorganization of the person. Common defensive manuvers and psychological responses in the stress disorders were also reviewed.

  • Recently, according to increasing the network traffic in the IMS, the role of Network Management System (NMS) is very important because of limited network resource. NMS can perform two kinds of routing ways with the capability of static or dynamic routing. The way of A dynamic routing is more efficient than static routing one because it can make the flow of traffic changeful among nodes in the IMS. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a management function of NMS, using a dynamic routing algorithm for managing the CSCFs in the IMS. And then we analyze the algorithm by measuring the performance of PoC, one of the prominent application services to be deployed in the IMS.

  • The high degree of uncertainty in customer demands forces companies of today to equip with a flexible and adaptable structural organization. It also has an influence on the configuration of the company's supply chains, since the members in supply chains are dependent to the goods customers need. If a company can not come up with the customers' requirements and their level of satisfaction, the competitiveness of the company will be weaken in the market places. To meet such conditions, therefore, reconfiguration of supply chains should be considered as an important factor in a complex, dynamic, and fluctuating market environment. In this paper, therefore, we have adapted a fractal concept to SCM to facilitate reconfiguration of supply chains. To do so, we have first introduce fractal-based SCM, referred to as fSCM. Then, we have described definitions of the reconfigurability in supply chains and the methodology of Dynamic Restructuring Process (DRP) in supply chains including specific strategies and constraints. An exemplary model will also be briefly illustrated to demonstrate how supply chains conduct DRP autonomously.

  • Robots have limited computing resources and robot services have different requirement such as sensors, actuators, computational capabilities and timeliness. In this paper, we propose a dynamic management method of service execution contexts to perform various services efficiently and to meet the time constraint of service in network-based robots. The proposed method is tested in the real network-based robot system. The results show that the real-time requirement for services is satisfied and the resource utilization is improved. The proposed method provides the extendability and flexibility of sensors and services by aptly modifying service execution contexts and increases the reusability of service.

  • All infrastructure projects are said to be inter-dependent, uncertain and labour-intensive in nature. There is no exception for building services sub sector. For a real time project such as 'The construction, extension and refurbishment of Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital at Tirupathy, India with total area of 45,000 square feet at an estimated cost of 1100 million rupees, a generic process model is developed to simulate the effect of set of identified variables on construction project. The 'Stocks and Flows' of dynamic model affords relevant insights to project managers, who apply this knowledge when designing better performance through more appropriate project planning. It is concluded from the model-based approach that building services works can be improved through specific better focussed managerial efforts, such as an increasing coordination effectiveness at the planning stage, clarifying prerequisite conditions prior to installations. Otherwise, pending works arising from work clashes can lead to knock-on effects resulting in productivity constraints and pressures, as well as more rework and demolition. Current study reveals that the model enables deep insight into various interdependent processes, their by improving construction performance levels, by addressing the dynamics of design errors and defective works, and recovering delayed schedule.

  • In this paper, a dynamic power management system is proposed to reduce energy consumption for multiple clients in cloud computing environments. The proposed system monitors both keyboard and mouse input from the user, available memory, and CPU usage in the virtual machine. If the system detects no keyboard and mouse input for a certain amount of time and both available memory and CPU usage reach predefined threshold value, the manager in the virtual machine orders the client to shutdown the client machine, which results in significant power save. The developed system is applied to the real university computer lab and the performance of the system is evaluated.
