The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of a firm's dynamic capabilities measured by sensing, seizing, transforming, coordinating, and learning capabilities on its competitive capabilities, such as product quality, process flexibility, delivery speed, and low cost. The relationship among dynamic capabilities, competitive capabilities, and export firm performance is set up as a research model based on empirical studies related to the existing dynamic capability perspective and competitive capabilities. To test this research model, this study collected 102 samples of data using a questionnaire survey on both manufacturing and exporting firms. The partial least squares method is used and the following results are derived from an empirical analysis. First, dynamic capabilities have a positive effect on competitive capabilities, such as product quality, process flexibility, delivery speed, and low cost. Second, product quality and process flexibility have a positive effect on export firm performance. Third, unlike previous research results, this study finds that the competitive capabilities of a firm in the areas of delivery speed and low cost do not significantly affect its performance. These findings provide meaningful implications for export venture firms that need to acquire and maintain competitive advantage in a rapidly changing environment.
As the Fourth Industrial Revolution progresses, the importance of startups is becoming more prominent. Additionally, the role of accelerators in ensuring the sustainability of startups is also being emphasized. Therefore, in this study, among the services provided by accelerators to startups, the mentoring service, education service, funding service, and networking service tried to empirically analyze the structural relationship that affects startup performance through the dynamic capabilities of start-ups. To achieve this, we conducted a survey in February 2023 targeting startup CEOs and executives who had experience with accelerator program services. A total of 238 valid responses were analyzed using structural equation modeling with Amos 24. The results of the empirical analysis were as follows. The accelerator program services, including mentoring, education, funding, and networking services, had a significant positive effect on startup dynamic capabilities. Among the accelerator program sub-factors, networking services had the highest impact on startup dynamic capabilities, followed by mentoring, funding, and education services. Furthermore, startup dynamic capabilities were found to have a significant positive effect on startup performance. On the other hand, startup dynamic capabilities were found to mediate the relationship between mentoring, education, funding, networking services, and startup performance. Dynamic capabilities are a critical factor for startups, and the finding that accelerator programs can have a significant impact on startup performance by mediating these dynamic capabilities is significant both academically and practically.
The aim of the study is to create a theoretical model and hypotheses on competitive advantages of exporting SMEs. For this we have proposed an integrated model in which learning competences and dynamic capabilities should have an influence on competitive advantages of the SMEs. This study have examined the influence of integrating and reconfigurating capability respectively. As a result, the learning competences had positive influences in dynamic capabilities and to the cost and service competitive advantage. To integrating capabilities had positive influences in competitive advantage. Besides, dynamic capabilities playing significant intermediate role only for the cost advantage through the analysis of intermediate effects of learning competence to the dynamic capabilities.

The dynamic capabilities of sensing market signals, creating new opportunities and reconfiguring resources and capabilities to new opportunities in a rapidly changing economic environment determines the competitiveness of the enterprise to create added value and survival. This study conceptualized a two-stage performance measurement framework based on the casual model of resource (input)-process-performance (output). We have developed a 'Process capability index' that reflect the dynamic capabilities factors as a key intermediary product linking resource inputs and performance outputs in enterprise performance measurement. The process capability index consists of four elements : manpower (level of human resource), operation productivity, structure and risk management. The DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model was applied to the developed performance indicators to analyze the branch office performance of a telecom company. Process capability efficiency (stage 1) uses resource inputs to reach a certain level of process capabilities. In performance result efficiency (stage 2), the process capabilities are used to generate sales revenues and subscribers. The two-stage DEA model derives intermediate output values that optimize the individual stages simultaneously. Some branch offices in the telecom company have focused on process capability efficiency or some other branch offices focused on performance result efficiency. Positioning map using two-stage efficiency decomposition and benchmarking can help identify the sources of inefficiencies and visualize strategic directions for performance optimization. Applications of two-stage DEA in conjunction with the case study that are meaningfully used in performance measurement areas have been scarce. In particular, this paper has the contribution to present a new performance measurement model considering the organization theory, the dynamic capabilities.

Purpose: Research on supply chain sustainability is important for exporters When the factor of sustainable development is considered by the businesses as well as governments of all countries. Research on supply chain sustainability is important for exporters. Sustainable supply chain management and supply chain dynamics will help enterprises adapt to changes in the business environment. This study analyzes the impact of sustainable supply chain management, and supply chain dynamic capabilities on the sustainable development of exporting enterprises in Vietnam. Research design, data, and methodology: The research model and survey are designed based on previous studies after surveying export enterprises. With 185 samples collected from export enterprises. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique is used. Data analysis is performed on SPSS and AMOS software (Reliability test, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, SEM). Results: Sustainable supply chain management and supply chain dynamic capabilities all have positive effects on the sustainable development of businesses (sustainable development is measured by distribution: measuring economic efficiency, social efficiency, and environmental performance). Conclusions: From the results of this study, the authors also made several recommendations to help export enterprises develop sustainability based on sustainable supply chain management and supply chain dynamic capabilities.

It has been verified in several studies that dynamic capabilities has a very important effect on the competitive advantage of technology startups. And the network has an important influence on this dynamic capability. This is even more important for start-ups that lack the resources and knowledge. Networks that directly and significantly affect dynamic capabilities have been studied mainly the value chain internal. However, network activities of start-ups are conducted not only with the value chain internal networks but also with the value chain external networks. Therefore, it is necessary to study the effect of the value chain internal and external network activity of start-ups on the dynamic capabilities, but prior studies are lacked. In this study, We make a model that encompass the value chain internal and external network for technology startups, and a study was conducted to demonstrate the effect on dynamic capabilities and competitive advantage. As a result of the study, value chain internal network activity directly and significantly affected dynamic capabilities, and value chain external network activity did not directly significantly affect dynamic capacity. And dynamic capabilities had a significant effect on competitive advantage. As confirmed through additional research, value chain external network activity affects value chain internal network activity, and through this, dynamic capabilities are strengthened, and positively affect competitive advantage.. The intensity of value chain external network activity was not significant to dynamic capabilities and the diversity of value chain external network activity had a significant effect on the competitive advantage by double mediating the value chain internal network activity and dynamic capability. Through this study, it is confirmed that the value chain internal networks is important in order for startups to strengthen their dynamic capabilities and increase their competitive advantage, and that both strong and diversified the value chain internal networks positively affects competitive advantage by enhancing dynamic capabilities.

This study examines the role of dynamic socio-emotional capabilities to increase proactive stakeholder engagement in family businesses. The research sample includes all furniture enterprises scattered in Jepara Regency sub-districts as many as 3,945 companies. The sampling in this research is purposive; as many as 210 respondents, 181 could be used. The sampling unit is the owners and managers, considering that most company owners are also company managers. This study examines how learning and supply chain management in the family business can be integrated to enable a set of resources and capabilities provided by the family to be developed to build closer relationships with stakeholders. The findings showed the importance of a family business's supply chain management perspective in the relationship between dynamic socio-emotional capabilities to mediate organizational learning to proactive stakeholder engagement significantly. Based on this study's results, companies can build dynamic socio-emotional capabilities through organizational learning to increase proactive stakeholder engagement. Dynamic socio-emotional capabilities proved to play a role as a mediator for organizational learning by family companies for proactive stakeholder engagement.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of project-based organizational resources on the business performance in the resource-based view (RBV) and dynamic capability one and analyze their relationship through an integrated model. The RBV argues that firms get competitive advantages when they have VRIN characterized resources but dynamic capability view argues that RBV has its limitation under volatility so it enables them to obtain competitive advantages in ever changing environments. This study analyzes data collected from 270 survey questionnaires on the project management related staff at the project-based organization among major companies in Korea. The result demonstrates that two project organizational resources on strategic and executional management with VRIN characteristics are found to bring positive effects on the organizational dynamic capabilities and also the dynamic capabilities such as integration & reconfiguration, organizational learning are verified to bring meaningful positive effects on the business performance. On the other hand, unlike previous studies, ambidexterity has quite a weak effect on the business performance. Therefore, we expect that the resources of the project-based organization with VRIN lead to strengthen the firm's business performance through organizational dynamic capabilities and produce high performance through the integrated model of RBV and dynamic capability one. The study has academic meanings that widely confirm the effects and characteristics of main elements of VRIN project organizational resources on the business performance of competitive advantage through the dynamic capabilities of the organization by the regression on the precedent studies regarding the project management resources and their relationship with the VRIO characteristics. The practical implication is that it is preferentially necessary for the organization to obtain VRIN resources and organizational dynamic capabilities, especially organizational learning to have sustainable competitive advantages.

The pharmaceutical industry is an industry that provides medicines related to the health and life of the people. The pharmaceutical industry is a traditional regulation industry with the characteristics of R&D(Research and Development), purchasing, manufacturing, distribution and consumption under strict government management. Until now, pharmaceutical companies have continued to make efforts to maintain competitiveness through patent management, new product development, and marketing. However, industries are rapidly changing, including rising costs for developing new products and expanding generic markets. As these changes and uncertainties in the management environment increase, efforts are required to improve the competitiveness of the pharmaceutical industry from a new perspective. In this study, we intend to examine the impact of SCM(Supply Chain Management) dynamic capability of pharmaceutical companies on corporate performance through partnerships to respond to market changes and uncertainties. It was determined that the agility, visibility and flexibility that constitutes the SCM dynamic capabilities would affect the performance of pharmaceutical companies. In this study, the importance of SCM dynamic capabilities and cooperative relationships was identified through surveys by SCM managers of pharmaceutical companies. Consequently, in the pharmaceutical industry, which is a regulatory industry, we have identified that SCM dynamic capabilities and cooperative relationships with partner companies have a significant impact on corporate performance.
Purpose: Due to an ever more interconnected global commercial environment, the role of SMEs from emerging markets has attracted considerable attention in business literature of late. Reinforced by strategic management theory, this study builds on aspects such as entrepreneurial orientation and dynamic capabilities to construct and test a framework that focuses on exploring their associations with export performance. Research design, data and methodology: To contribute further towards a deeper understanding of these markets, the current study empirically tests a model using data collected from 225 exporting firms located throughout South Africa. Results: The results from the data analysis show that entrepreneurial orientation contributes significantly towards improving the performance of South African SMEs. Additionally, this study integrates three dynamic capabilities in the strategy-performance relationship to test their interacting effects on the correlation between entrepreneurial orientation and export performance. Further findings advocate support for relationship-based capabilities playing a moderating role between entrepreneurial orientation and the exporting performance of small and medium firms emanating from emerging markets. Conclusions: Findings provide substance to the argument that entrepreneurship, as a strategy-making process, leads to export performance in emerging nations. Especially, this study provides several suggestions as to how small and medium-sized organizations can develop their exporting performance based on the research findings.
